it's a parents nightmare watching someone else driving away with their car with their child inside. >> man: i could only imagine what the step father was going through. >> reporter: it was around 7:00 on thursday when a man went inside this gas station, leaving his six-year-old stepdaughter in the car. unknowingly, he left his keys inside. footage shows a man circling around the kia before jumping in. booth runs out of the store and tries to stop him. the driver pulls out of the parking lot. he drives for two miles before dropping off that six-year-old girl right around whiles road. >> man: a good samaritan was travelling down the road, saw the six-year-old running down the sidewalk. >> reporter: that good samaritan called police and the girl was safely returned to her family. but that driver is still on the loose.

it took hours to get that water main capped leaving destruction behind. water gushing everywhere, and a truck going nowhere fast. the 12 inch water main break leading to a massive sink hole, quickly trapping this emergency ice truck from its rear wheels. >> man: it was amazing. when the truck was inside the hole. >> reporter: with the driver able to get out to safety, crews worked to get the truck to levelled grounds. as crews worked franticly, mario's business and auto shop next store quickly started to fill up. >> man: we tried to get the cars out s they don't get full of waters. >> reporter: they were able to save the cars but tools and equipments are gone. >> man: it is about $50,000 loss so faf. >> reporter: he shot this video inside the shop.

we have to worry about the one closing in on us on the gulf side. so we could have passing showers on friday. temperatures though, are expected to be warmer tomorrow than what they are today as we get a light south easterly wind flowing in. southerly air flow means warm weather. ahead of this col front, we have the potential for a few passing showers before it makes a pass on sunday and brings us another cool down. there's more winter weather in the forecast. but for tomorrow, we'll start in the low to mid 60s. as i mentioned, there may be a few spots in the morning that fall in the 50s. if you wear the boots tomorrow, we get it. by the afternoon, we're expecting to top out around 80 degrees. keep the umbrellas handy as we could have passing showers. but behind that next front that passes on sunday, look at these temperatures, they're going to
