but thankfully, that six-year-old girl is doing just fine. she is shaken up but she's safe at homed with her family tonight. police are still looking for that driver. it's a parents nightmare watching someone else driving away with their car with their child inside. >> man: i could only imagine what the step father was going through. >> reporter: t was around 7:00 on thursday when a man went inside this gas station, leaving his six-year-old stepdaughter in the car. unknowingly, he left his keys inside. footage shows a man circling around the kia before jumping in. booth runs out of the store and tries to stop him. the driver pulls out of the parking lot. he drives for two miles before dropping off that six-year-old girl right around whiles road.

as you can see, workers with miami day water and sewers are working hard to repair that line. then they'll start to fill in the sink hole that was created. it took hours to get that water main capped leaving destruction behind. water gushing everywhere, and a truck going nowhere fast. the 12 inch water main break leading to a massive sink hole, quickly trapping this emergency ice truck from its rear wheels. >> man: it was amazing. when the truck was inside the hole. >> reporter: with the driver able to get out to safety, crews worked to get the truck to levelled grounds. as crews worked franticly, mario's business and auto shop next store quickly started to fill up. >> man: we tried to get the cars out so they don't get full of waters. >> reporter: they were able to

another woman drove by and pulled the 80-year-old woman in the car. things turned when the husband was told about the tragedy. >> woman he cuddled the dog and ran back to the house and started crying and crying until i guess, he had the heart atta. >> reporter: he was rushed to a nearby hospital while animal control located the two dogs. and they're searching for the dogs' owner. >> reporter: he's home late tonight recovering from the heart attack. animal control say both dogs are pit bull mixes and they're both micro chipped now to a one and only exclusive. police releasing the autopsy report of the 2013 shooting of mcbean. he was shot multiple times by

the thief threatened the clerk with a gun before getting away with cash. 16-year-old stephanie lexi is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon that put a student in the hospital. the whole incident happened after an argument on a school bus. several students stepped off the bus and that's when the fight escalated. police say lexi stabbed the 16-year-old male classmate in the back. his injuries were not life threatening. coming up, hundreds gathering to remember a beloved man, named a hero to the end a famous florida manatee could lose his endangered status.
