it's 5:5, 61 degrees. good morning, south florida. i'm jacey birch and i like these temperatures. >> i love them too. i'm eric yutzy. jen correa in for julie. how long are they going to stick for? we're actually going to havav a couple of days of cool weather, at least up to even four days. that's a big story here in south florida. we say it's only going to last one, two days. however, there's some rain coming back quickly. we've got to talk about what's happening now because temperatures dropped into those upper 50s for broward. even in kendall. 59 degrees. 65 in marathon. 68 in key west just an hour ago we were at 69. so temperatures have dropped still in the past hour. still plenty of cloud cover behind this front that's to the south of us. high pressure building in across the southeast. the bays with a moderate chop. for the keys the bays are choppy this morning. it's a little breezy out there.

moderate chop by this afternn. >> thank you so much. we just reported this location of a broken down car off of commercial boulevard and i-95 northbound. we're now hearing that this is actually a vehicle fire. this is i-95 northbound at commercial. take a look. you see the fire rescue crews right there. we're going to keep our eyes on this developing situation. this is in broward county, i-95 northbound at commercial. we're not seeing the delays reported as of yet but we're seeing some slowdowns out there. another crash to get to. we're hearing two to three lanes of traffic could be shut down off of i-95 southbound and sterling road. we're not seeing any delays reported yet but of course that could change as the morning progresses and miami-dade county traveling south on the eye, another crash in its clearing stages. this is i-95 southbound at miami gardens drive. back to our developing story this morning. two people have died aftete being pulled from this car.

golf course lake. this happened in club. m.j. acosta joins us with the story. m.j.? >>reporter: well, eric, crews working late into sunday night after that car crashed into the canal at the end of the dead-end street.let's get you to the video from the scene sunday night. lauderhill rescue arrived with dive crews. they say four people were inside that car at the time of the crash. one person was able to help. the other three were taken to area hospitals but two of those victims died. now the car was pulled out of the water late sunday night as investigators continue to piece all of this together. >> we are asking the community if you we here at that specific time and location, you may have seen something or recorded something on your phone. we're asking you to please contact the police department because you may have the piece we're looking for of the puzzle. >>reporter: the cause of the crash is still under review this morning.

victims have not been released. in lauderhill, m.j. acosta, local 10 news. also developing this morning a search for the shooters after another teen is gunned down in miami. alder hill only 15 years old but that was one of several daerous shootings reported within three hours of each other over the weekend. ben kennedy is live for us at jackson memorial hospital where another victim of violence is now recovering. ben, it feels like we're talking about this every weekend. just awful. red carpet yeah, good morning, jacey. three bac to back shootings, one of the victims that did survive is in critical condition right here behind me at ryder trauma center. two others did lose their life including a teenager. let's take you to that first scene in overtown at 1937 northwest second court. it is there that this cell phone video shows the victim on the ground in severe pain taken to the hospital in critical condition. that's where we are live this morning. 20 minutes later a

time in liberty city. 15-year-old alder hill was shot and killed in a vacant field, then two hours passed and officers get a callf a third shooting on the 700 block and northwestp 56th street. 21-year-old leonard was hit multiple times and did die at the scene. it's not clear if all three of these crimes are connected. back live at ryder trauma this morning. police say they need the public's help and arere not sure of the motive behind the cases. at this point no one has been arrested for either reporting live in miami this morning, ben kenny, local 10 news. breaking news from overnight, the death of david bowie. the singer losing a battle with cancer on sunday. his reps announcing the news overnight. fame makes a man take things over >> bowie's career spanning five decades

radar. we'll wake up to cloud cover out there. it will be partlyy to mostly cloudy skies for much of today. you can see there's still these clouds that are draping over central florida behind the front and speaking of behind the front, high pressure's building in across the southeast, stabilizing our atmosphere, also providing for that north wind today. so morning clouds and a little bit of sunshine here and there by the afternoon. as i just mentioned, temperatures dropping in those upper 50s and 60s out there by this afternoon. we're talking about a high of only 72 in miami. key west almost getting to 70 degrees. this is very nice over the weekend. we were tying record highs reaching those highs around 83, 84 degrees. so it's quite a change for us and it's stickck around for some time. i do want to mention that northerly wind will stay breezy. as far as temperatures

wednesday. we have the front to the south of us. the front's lifting a bitack north to the keys and south florida. so cloud cover will be in store for tomorrowwith a 50% chance for scattered showers. umbrellas tomorrow. have them with you just in case. we dry things out. cool thing down again wednesday. by thursday rain chances start going back up again. pressure system developing over the gulf and that will push in from west to east over south florida. friday looks to be the week. constance. the crash we told you about off 47th avenue right before you expressway. we've got about two really bad crash. you see it looks like that car collided with that box truck. looks like two to four lanes of traffic blocked. outside of that one, a few other things to get to again. 47th avenue.

we're thought seeing any delays as of yet. some other things to get to. ives dairy road eastbound right as you travel west of 441 we've got an accident scene there affecting our eastbound lanes. also another crash i-95 southbound at sterling road. this one not affecting our travel speeds at all either at 67 miles per hour but this one, an earlier vehicle fire is affecting our northbound lanes right at commercial boulevard. those speeds at 28 to 41 miles per hour. taking a live look outside, here is that scene where that vehicle fire was reported. heavy congestion there. hugh heffner's mansion could be going for a hefty price tag it. the iconic playboy mansion could be going up for sale. hefner bought the mansion in 1971 for $1 million dollars. the houseeportedly appraises for 35 million but could be worth more if they are asking 200 million.

across the southeast behind that cold front which is to the south of us. speaking of rain, those fast. i'll tell you when. before that we got to enjoy today. there will be plenty of cloud cover to start off the morning. temperatures warming up very slowly. it will be a cool afternoon. 70s. >> all right, thanks, jennifer. back to a traffic alert. this is 47th avenue as you're approaching the palmetto expressway. two lane of traffic blocked here after an injury crash. looks like that car collided with that box truck. one lane of traffic getting by but not caing too much in the way of traffic trouble. it's in broward county where we're seeing some issues. i-95 northbound at commercial boulevard, right here, you see all the flashing lights. it is causing a slowdown for any of our northbound drivers. looks like it's just south of commercial boulevard where we're seeing the slowdown so speeds at about 12 miles per hour and then picks back up to 40 miles per hour there. all right.

few other things to get to. looks like we've got a crash and some slowdowns here right off of tamiami trial and southwest 107th avenue. traffic light not working just west of that intersection for some reason. not quite sure what the relation is on that scene. that's where an accident scene is also reported. we're seeing se slowdowns also right off of southwest 107th avenue with those speeds at 13 miles per hour. now back to our developing story of the morning. two people killed when a car ends up submerged in a canal in a golf course take. m.j. acosta is joining us live from the scene in lauderhill. some people were able to escape though, right? >> in total four people were in that car. one man was able to get out, run out, and he was the one who called for help. but this morning two of the other passengers were dead, pronounced dead yesterday shortly after they were transportationed to area hospitals. now police are just

it all happened. investigators working late into sunday night after authorities say a car crashed into a small body of water withour people inside. all of this happening around 8:00 p.m. lauderhill fire rescue confirming to local 10 they spoke to one person inside the car, was able to make it out and call for help. other passengers were taken to nearby hospital in critical condition. two of those witnesses died. >> one of them happened to be the visited who that was on the embankment and did make contact with our fire department. our investigators are speaking to him at length it's very early in the evacuation. >>reporter: the mangled car was pulled out of the water sunday night. now investigators are asking anyone with information to speak to them. >> we're asking if you may have seen something or recorded something on

these are beautiful partly to mostly cloudy skies. a lot of cloud cover still draped across the state of florida. that's why we'll see more cloud cover rather than just sunny skies. lauderdale. so broward county has dropped down into those pompano beach you're waking up to 58 degrees. winds have been out of the north northwest for ft. lauderdale. and temperatures in miami-dade low 60s and then for the keys, mid to upper 60s. here's a look at the satellite. i mentioned the cloud cover, so no rain on the radar. these are some high sir us clouds and a ain for the rest of today, partly to mostly cloudy skies but as high pressure continues to build across the southeast, that will allow for a mainly dry day today, only 10% chance for rainfall. there's some areas of snow here and there.

with lake-effect snow with winds out of the north and then a low pressure system beginning to strengthen across the midwest. you don't see that much snow going on in the plains but eventually the snow will pick up and move across the midwest and ohio valley today. here's a look at your temperature. you don't have to go far north to hit toes 20s. atlanta waking down 24 degrees. here we'll continue with the northerly winds today. it will be breezy, 10 to 15 miles per hour. clouds early is expected. for beach-goers, if you're brave enough or staying here from the north and you can with stand those temperatures in the low 70s today, you want to head out to the beach. use that sunscreen ough. bays with a moderate chop. seas four to six feet. for the keys the bays are choppy this morning but they will lightennen up a bit. now 60 de-in miami but we do expect temperatures to hit those low 70s so we're long.
