6:13 pm
we're kind of happy that today is over at this point. what are we looking athis weekend? >> betty: we're questioning to start the weekend a dry note after pick can up more than an inch of rainfall in many of your neighborhoods, including miami, kendall, homestead, almost an inch for you, fort lauderdale, and hialeah as well. and then look at marathon scoring big today, and earlier a tornado reported over marinated but that was not confirmed. but definitely some twists in the storms that came over the keys. this is the view now on the doppler radar as we're scanning the skies out over the atlantic, and that is now where that batch rain and storm is, and that is where the rain and storms will stay. that's going to continue to head out toward the east, so no longer causing concerns for us. overseas highway looking a lot better, just a few residual showers as we look just north of marathon, a sandwiched up toward key largo. then miami-dade, maybe a few sprinkles in deep south miami-dade. nothing more than that. broward mainly dry in your area as well.
6:14 pm
the night, rainfall not really an issue. mostly cloudy skies, though, that will still be the story for the rest of the evening with temperatures in the mid-60s by about 10:00 tonight. we had these showers and stormrm to fire out as a front, a a cold front pressing down on south florida. that front clears as we head toward tomorrow. that sets us up for a decent saturday. now, we could start the day with patchy log, low clouds but we are eaton more sun during the afternoon, and then by saturday night some showers may try to sneak back in, and then by early sunday our next low pressure system moves in our direction, and this one could set off a round, a line of gusty showers. so we may be enduring something similar to what we saw out there today. this model indicating that between 10:00 a.m. sunday and around the lunch hour, that may be the time that the showers blow through. but, of course, we'll know more as we get another run on the model tomorrow. but behind those showers drier
6:15 pm
at the surface on a northwest to north wind, and that also means some cooler air riding back in our direction, too now, tomorrow morning's temperature kind of comfortable, mild, in the mid-60s, and then the highs climb toward 80 degrees so we are anticipating a warmer afternoon. and then by sunday rain moving across the area. then look at the temperature change for mlk day. we're going to start the innate 50s expend up in the lower 70s. rain chance low monday, tuesday. more 50s on the way. in fact, tuesdayayorning could be cooler than monday morning. highs only making it into the lower 70s, and then more 50s to start wednesday morning. so winter is definitely staking its claim over south florida in terms of bringing more fronts in our direction. now, it now looks that by the end of the next week we'll have another better chance of getting some rainfall in here. so let's just enjoy our saturday because our bouts with rainfall, not quite over. clay. >> clay: dwyane wade calls this stretch one of the toughest

6:21 pm
game, his name was michael jordan back in 1996. the bulls would win 115-111 and overtime, and butler's name now in the record books with the famous number 23, guys. >> victor: not bad, jimmy butler. so joe philbin going to be an offensive line coach. because his offensive lines in miami were so good, ryan tannehill almost died one year, i think. >> clay: we were talking about this actually because will is a big giants fan, and he was rumored to be going to the giants to coach their offensive line. offensive lineoaches are known for being firey. joe philbin not so fey. we'll see if that works out in indianapolis. >> laurie: and we're just so happy this rain is out of the way, betty. >> betty: we can get oututnd enjoy our night. the band of rain and storms over the atlantic waters head can toward the bahamas. that's not going to be backtracking here. so we're getting into dry time as we step into the weekend. saturday looks decent butut by saturday night into early sunday, we may have a similar scenario, a little band of rain
