5:17 pm
chilly night but it could ve been a lot worse. so much colder up to the north, and look at the rebound they saw in minneapolis today. it's currently 6 degrees. 17 in chicago. new york city in the upper 20s. so the chill is really on, but it looks like we will start to am wop as we're rounding out the week before we take the temperatures back down. so for wednesday it will be a chilly start to the day. as our winds start to become mo northeasterly, that should make for a milder afternoon. and then by thursday an easterly to southeasterly flow ensues ahead of the next storm system, and that's going to make for even warmer weather for us on thursday before we f fally get the front pushing through, bringing the rain and then behind that we cool down again. so tomorrow morning plan on 54 if you're up early at the bus stop, waititi with the kids, 54 in miami and fort lauderdale. maybe around 52 in pembroke pines and hialeah. temperatures should get warmer tomorrow afternoon than what they did this afterno, at least that's in our weather
5:18 pm
so we're planning on a high around 72 in miami, so lower 70s, some of you could do that at least touch 70. and then on thursday increasing clouds by the night, upper 50s is where we start. we land in the mid-70s. by friday here comes our front. ahead of the front temperatures rise to near 80. we bring our rainfall through, rain may linger into early saturday. and then we start to chilly on saturday night. by sunday mning we're back down into the 50s and that may be even colder than what we s out there this morning or what we even get tomorrow morning. guys. >> laurie: all right. we're ready. aittle cold roller coaster. >> calvin: absolutely. this is good. refreshing. winter south florida style. an emotional trip home for the communications director of zoo miami. ron magill, mr. personality and his mother recently went back to cuba for the very first time together. local10's hatzel vela has their story all new at at 6:00. >> laurie: and a new wrinkle in turning back the hands of time. find out how something as small
