i'm trying to defend myself. >>reporter: you're hearing paula ortiz making a 911 call. >> i'm sorry. what? >> trying to defend myself. >>reporter: when deputies arrived she tells them she had taken rat poison. in her car was a suicide note inside was a car seat with no baby. according to the police report at one point ortiz said my baby drowned, then i was bathing it and it slipped out of my hands. finally she admitted to the gruesome truth, that her baby named hugo was dead inside the town house. police would make the discovery. now guards at this gated community say they are not letting anyone in to visit the home.

owned that construction company. the friend testified against him yesterday. >> he was the gate keeper of a multi-million dollar budget from the broward tehers and that money was going nowhere. >> santarama does face up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced at the end of next month. police say the man who preyed on a woman as she was praying has been arrested and is out on bond. you see him here sneaking right behind ida sanchez. this was on december the 20th. the video appears to show him snatching her purse and walking right out the door. the tipister who saw the video recognized him. he's charged with grand theft. right now police need your help to find a man who was caught on camera trying to rob a cvs pharmacy in north miami this week.

he's behind a number of armed robberies. surveillance video showing the violent armed robber hitting businesses all over miami. the man threatens the employees inside claiming to shoot them if they do not hand over the money. the commissioner scrapping his strict proposal which uber said would have been too costly for them to follow. uber says it is agreeable. the search ordinance would have required higher limited insurance for the drives at all times. >> we greatly appreciate, i'm coming up with regulatory framework that makes sense for ride sharing. >> not everybody is thrilled with this one. taxi drivers are not happy with this one. the miami-dade

short because of the terrorist attacks that took the lives of 30 people including their missionary partner mike riddering of cooper city. >> they enjoyed mike and seeing him. it was contagious seeing the love of jeez these kids had for him. >>reporter: this group was about to land in burkina faso when the pilot got word of the attack and changed course. >> all of a sudden they punch it. we're at 1500 feet, all the lights go out in the airplane and we take back off. >> still they would eventually make it to burkina faso. >> when got there and mike was not there to pick us up, we had nobody else, no other contact as far as how -- where we were even going to go, and the love that the people have for mike and amy there was shown in the fact that people were coming out of the woodwork to help us.

hit by those falling rocks but the road blockage throughout the afternoon to move the big boulders throughout the way. for us here in south florida i'm happy to tell you we're rain-free and we're waking up to comfortable conditions. a bit cool in miami where we're still in the 50s but we'e' checking in at 64 degrees in ft. lauderdale and key west. the east wind is the culprit. remember that ocean wind provides for the warmth and humidity. you notice it in the way of temperatures and later today you'll notice in the way of humidity. it will feel a bit more humid in parts of south florida. 55 degrees, 57 in hialeah. still cool, comfortable, 51 and down by kendall in the mid to upper 60ss down by the keys. with that said the wind's much camper this morning. by about 8:00 they will be taking it off because we'll gradually warm up with lots of sunshine

expected today. just midand high level clouds streamingn from the gulf of mexico. we have to enjoy today because prepare for some wet conditions moving into the forecast tomorrow due to a storm system that is going to bring a lot of snow, a major winter blizzard is expected across parts of the midatlantic and northeast. right now it's right over portions of oklahoma, texas and in towards missouri. with this low and the front attached, those are the two thing we're going to watch. this is the possibility of severe weather into the panhandle. the warmth and humidity ahead of the frontnt and cold dense air behind the front. they clash, the air lifts and provides for the severe weather threat. eventually that low is going to track towards the northeast and that's going to provide for a better chance of storms and winter weather advisories are in effect for 15 states. for us today it will be

warmer. that ocean breeze will provide for a beautiful afternoon but then that rain comes our way as a tail-end of the front moves into south florida by friday. check out the forecast. 60% chance of storms tomorrow. watch what happens once this front clears. a cold, dense air mass will make it all the way down here to south florida. on monday and sunday we're looking at lows in the 50s. possibly the upper 40s inland, guys. >> going to get my scarfs out now. boots aren't enough. >> that's the threshold for you, cross a line. >> when you cross over into the 40s, scarf comes out. scientists say they discovered evidence of a possible new planet within our solar system. >> researchers have not spotted the new planet yet. they nicknamed it planet nine. it's way out there. it's supposedly ten times as big as earth. astronomers say there is
