pembroke pines all the way down towards marathon. these temperatures are anywhere between six and 15 degrees warmer than what we woke up to yesterday. warmer and wetter is what youeed to know befere you kids head out theoor. in the morning we will see a chancef some spotty storms, attempt in the low 70s. as you're pick them up, we'll keep storms in the forecast. it's kateed on our radar. you can see the doppler radar showing the darker shades on the radar. i-95, 441, the sawgrass, u.u.-1 all soaked this morning. as far south of i-95 down towards aventura, sunny isles.. downtown miami, key doral. you're hearing the mbles of thunder. these storms stretch all the way into southern miami-dade, the upper keys, middle keys and lower keys. i'll have more of these storms will push offshore and we'll see

we can see exactly where we're seeing those delays so obviously yousee all those colors. of course julie broke down the scientific portion of all this. looks like we had some delays right off of 441 and the turn pike. let's quickly get to that location so i can show you exactly what i'm talking about. zooming into our maps it looks like right in this cation we had minor slowdowns at 441 but not a whole lot to talk about this morning. north at i-95 and hallandale beach boulevard, we had reports of three lanes blocked in that location. looks like it's cleared up. not a lot to worry about there. reports of a vehicle fire, this one off of southwest 87th avenue southbound on the approach to kendall drdre. we are seeing quite a bit of a slowdown there. that fire reported roughly 15 to 20 minutes ago. so as soso as i get any additional information on this, i'll bring it out to you. four cars down i had

him i had to push the limit and everything. >> a lot of people are talking about this morning, a woman recording herself pulling over a miami-dade police ficer who she accused of speeding. the woman who posted the video says she was going 80 miles an hour. she says she couldn't catch up to that officer. she wanted to know, what was the emergency. >> i don't know how fast i was going but i can tell you this, i'm on the way to work right now. i don't believe i was speeding but, like i say, you're entitled to your opinion. >> the video ends with the officer apologiging to castillo assuring her the miami-dade police department will have his immediate command staff investigate the matter. once thefficer and citizen are identified, an appropriate course of action will be taken at that point. the business where several people suffered carbon monoxide will be inspected later today it. 11 people hospitalized on sunday after a carbon monoxide i doral. it happened at a meal

investigators say an exhaust fan system over a stove was reportedly making a loud noise so the employee shut it off but that allowed the carbon monoxide to build up. adl of the employees are expected to be okay. >> the worst outcome of any type of carbon monoxide exposure depending on the time and the exposure to the carbon monoxide could lead to death. >> the building will be inspted later today to see whether there's any danger. a man shot and killed over a parking space. a memorial held at the spot whehe 33-year-old jackson solis was killed. police say he left the nightclub around 2:45 saturday morning. shortly after he got into an argument with a gunman and shots were fired. >> i'm parked here instead of over there. coming in, i see them arguing. i went inside instead of helping my brother out. i believe he got shot. >> just wasn't worth what happened for over a parking space. >> solis was taken to jackson memorial

i'm hapay to tell you the worst of the weather is starting to push offshore. heavy rain just west of it in towards i-95 just west of that towards the turnpike over 595 soakeded portions of weston still hanging on to see showers over south into downtown miami you're getting soaked all the way south into kendall and cutler bay and homestead. with that said we are anticipating some heavy rain and some gusty winds to continue over the next few hours. why is this occurring? disturbed weather moving in from the gulf of mexico ahead of another system from the tennessee valley. this is stretching as far west as the rockies. this is the system that brought the severe weather across southern california yesterday from san diego up through central portions of central california.

flagstaff to receive two feet of snow. system because eventually that system will be pushing into south florida by the end of the workweek. currently though our focus is the heavy rain and gusty winds we'll have to deal with during the morning commute because of the area of disturbed weather we're watching. by the afternoon we'll keep that slight chance of shower in the forecast but the storms won't be as aggressive. wednesday and thursday. high pressure will build once these storms move out by tonight. look at this, highs will reach the lower 80s by tuesday as well as wednesday. our overnight lows will be well into thehe low average. >> all right, julie. thanks so much. i want to show you guys where the rain could be affecting your commute this morning. since the roadways are wet you're going to have to use caution. in deerfieie beach we

heavy rain as julie had mentioned. at this point it looks like traffic is movin just fine. where you see the green it looks like folks are traveling ata the posted speeds. it looks like no issues. those speeds about 64 to 67 miles per hour. now jumping down to miami-dada county we do have one thing that will slow you down. we've got reports of a vehicle fire from an earlier crash right off of 87th avenue on the approach to kendall drive and we are seeing a delay. those speeds at 23 miles per hour. back to broward county we go quickly with those drive times on i-95 traveling sosohbound starting at hollywood boulevard heading all the way to the glades going to take about you seven minutes. maybe that exit to the macarthur causeway about eight minutes total drive time. google fiber rolling out a brand new service. how they are celebrating the season with a wink and a smile. 4he weather is

over southern miami-dade this morning and the rain will continue throughout the afternoon. right now this is what you need to know. temperatures are in the low 70s. much warmer than what we woke up to yesterday, miami, ft. lauderdale, key west. the culprit pumping in what's going to be very warm day. wet conditions will greet you through the morning commute. temperatures will be in the e w 70s throughout the morning. we'll warm up to the upper 70s by the afternoon and keep that chance of a shower in the forecast until about 4:00. the worst of the weather over broward has pushed offshore. still some isolated activity right over portions of pembroke pines, mira whatmar, davie, plantation.surfside finally starting to dry out, downtown miami drying out. hey rain over kendall, that's heading towards your area. homestead as well. a line of storms from the upper keys all the way down to the middle keys will continue for the next hour or so.

this and then we'll see drier weather coming up. good morning, constance. >> morning, julie. broward county we have reports of a crash, a possible rollover crash over i-95 and oakland park boulevard.& also right there at that exit ramp. the exit ramps still opened but we do know crews are here on the scene working details with this. i-95 nice and clear with is one. again, it's just off to the exit ramp. miami-dadeounty we have reports of about three accidents to talk about. dolphin eastbound off red road. accident scene south of the airport, those speeds at 11 miles per hour. i-75 southbound on at approach to the palmetto expressway. righgh at that location we have reports of several lanes of t tffic blocked. not quite sure if it's an accident scene, road debris, construction crews. those speeds there about 36 miles per hour. finally if you're traveling northbound right at krome avenue at southwest 184th street, we do have reports of a crash there, several

those speeds 38 miles per hour. now to our top story this morning, a driver deciding enough is enough after allegedly seeing a miami-dade police officer speeding down a busy highway. >> that driver decided to pull up next to that police officer signaling him to pull over. >> that video going viral and we're h hring from the pd. >> i got to be honest, i didn't even know we could pull over a police officer. >> this woman says she was honking her horn and flashing her lights for a while until the officer did pull over thinking that she needed help. she posted videos of this on-line. it's gone viral and now his police department, miami-dade police, is now looking into this. >> about four cars down. to keep up with him, had to like push the limit and everything. >>reporter: call it a turn of the tables for miami-dade police officer after he's dragged down citizen.

few days ago, january 29th. more than 71,000 peopl have already looked at this. so viral i guess you could say is an under statement. the miami-dade police department did give us a statement saying this officer' immediate command staff is looking into it. we're live in doral this morning, erica rakow, local 10 music. a university of florida student killed after falling six stories from an apartment building. >> his family and friends left in mourning because of his loss. way too soon.& local 10 news reporter layron livingston is live in do recall where he lived. >> chance wolf, 20 years ol he was a student right here in south florida, graduated from cyprus bay high school. this morning the university of florida community reeling with news of chance wolf's death. >> we never witnessed something like this and being like living here, it's definitely creepy and definitely sad.

six stories from an apartment building offcampus. wolf was found bleeding, unconscious. two officers reportedly performed cpr on him until medics can rush him to the hospital where doctorsrs pronounced him dead. >> it seemed pretty intense. >> one of his closest childhood friends sent him a facebook message after the fall. his friend writes chance was an amazing people to beround. he made everyone feel like they were one of hislosest friends. wolf grew up right here in south florida. he loved hockey, was number 10 on the uf club team. the last game he played in just so happened to be against the university of miami, his hometown rival. just a tragedy store. we learned he was a member of t fraternity. many of the members lived in the very building from which this

near saratoga. police say a woman was found dead with two live monks inside a hotel room. the woman identified has 59-year-old linda maria smith. investigators s s the monks were inside their carriers along with a man who was incoherent. police say there were no signs of trauma. the escaped prisoners are back behind bars this morning. >> now the focus is shifting. what investigators are trying to figure out about who may have helped them breakut. the heat showing some toughness. all that and more in the sports wrap. >> we're d dling with wide-spread shower and storm activity. actually key west still dealing with moderate to heavy rain. these showers stretching from the west to the east. we are expecting a stormy day. but drier weather will be in the forecast by tomorrow.
