that area is disturbed weather moved through southlorida and finally cleared late last night. temperatures are in the low 70s. we're about nine degrees above where we should be this time of year. you're going to feel it. it feels muggybnd uncomfortable. this is just one of the two days we're going to have to deal with this. our coolest spot is 66 degrees in kendall, 70 in marathon. 69 in pompano beach. so the winds are calm and our wind direction is starting to move in from the east southeast. that will pump the heat and humidity you're going to feel. all the sunshine is going to feel more like spring. highs will rapidly warm up to the 80s. we have a mile reported in hialeah and homestead. eight miles in pompano beach. definitely visibility issues across inlandd broward and miami-dade warranting that dense fog advisy until 9:00 this morning. constance will have more on the roadwdws this temperatures expected to be in the low 70s.

year old's dea were formally charged on monday. now investigators are searching a pond near virginia tech where both suspects attended for clues. david eisenhower was charged with kidnapping and pre-meditated murder. the teen was last seen on tuesday night and her body was found on saturday. this morning we are hearing the 911 calls to police when one of the three escaped california inmates decided to turn himself in. >>11. >> i'm calling about -- i have him here. he's ready to turn himself in. he's scared to turn himself in so he asked me to call. >> he just wants to turn himself in peacefully. >> he did turn himself in on saturday. the other two escapees captured saturday in san francisco. >> all three are currently being held in orange county jail

cells which is standard for crimes. all three inmates are classified as administrative segregation inmates and will be housessed in one man cells. >> the three broke out of prison january 22nd rappeling off of the roof of the prison. investigators say the three hid in different homes during the first day on the run. eventually they all ended up in a motel before being taken back to custody. snow drifts so strong drivers had to pull over saying they just couldt see ahead of them. it may have been a good call on their part because several cars flipped over and there were even a few pile-ups because of that winter weather. today is grorodhog day, a little blurry here. squint your eyes a little bit. there we go.

right for quite some time so we'll have to see what happens. one thing i can tell you that's not right is how humid it feels when you walk out the door. clear skies and calm winds, all the ingredients for the patchy fog we're dealing with this morning. temperatures right now 10 degrees above where we should be this time of year. pembroke pines we hav 68 in hialeah, 66 in kendall and 69 in pompano beach. so the winds are calm. you're definitely feeling a change as you walk out the door. the atmosphere is dry in the mid to upper levels of the atmosphere so that means any cloud cover we have in the way of low level moisture is not producing precipitation but it is causing visibility issues. a mild visibility in hialeah as well as kendall. so the worst of the patchy fog that is developing, a dense fog itsself is over inland broward and miami-dade. we just have a little bit of lingering cloud covering around near the coast but otherwise we

high pressure. where high pressure islocated we'll continue an ocean breeze. take a look at this massive storm system. major winter storm bringing snow from the rockies all the way in towards nebraska, oklahoma, all the way in towards minneapolis and ahead of the system is some very warm air. so the big concern for our friends across the mississippi valley will be the severeeather threat up and down the mississippi valley in towards tennessee, cincinnati, ohio. even st. louisisould have to deal with severe weather. itit going to be a nasty day for them. for us we have that dry air in the upper levels of the atmosphere and that's going to suppress any wide-spread showers and storms for us. we set a record for january. no surprise. second wettest record on tap for january in miami and the eighth in ft. lauderdale. happy to tell you that's a thing of the past as wellll it will be drier and warmer today with our winds moving off@ the ocean. better chance of storms will move into the forecastst on friday all

that will move in. feeling more like spring instead of winter, then our temperatures will get back to where they should be, near average with an increase of showers. i-75 southbound reopened at miramar parkway. we had construction actually rescheduled for overnight through this morning because of all the rain we saw last week b b these are our southbound lanes. obviously there's still some construction crews out there so always use caution if you're traveling on i-7-. i'll keep you covered with this. again, all southbound lanes were shut down. they have reopened on miramar parkway. the only accident out there is happening in miami-dade county and it's in its clearing stages. we're talking about 87thh avenue at flagler street. we're seeing heavy delays in our northbound lanes on 87th b b at this point at 62 miles per hour looks like no delays reported there. broward county at this point we're accident-free.
