after a frantic search by air and by ground. >> we'e' asking everyone, all of our neighboring agencies are asassting. >> he kind of walked up to the car. it didn't even seem like a crime that was going on. >>reporter: ten month old's mother says she stopped to grab her clothes and left the car running with the baby asleep inside just for a minute. that's when police say this man who was hanging out inside the business walked out and hopped in the car. her mother running with her baby in that vehicle. >> the baby came out screaming. i didn't realize the fact what was going on. [ speaking spanish ] >>reporter: she says she never thought it would happen and she didn't want to wake the baby, it wasn't supposed to take long. police tracked the stolen car abandoned off powerline road with her inside, safe. >>reporter: all of thislaying out in front of several surveillance cameras here at the laundromat.

mile down the road, they say he went on attackgain with a samurai sword. this is sheer terror. the man in the red hathacking away at a man using a sword inside the swap shop. listen to the screams. he doesn't seem to let up. cops say he stole the sword of a display there and started chasing and attacking the man for no reason. lauderhill police say the same guy now identified as 22-year-old javon walker we on the attack minutes earlier at this gas station. using a small metal pole in his pocket, he grabs this 82-year-old man, grabs his arm and jabs him in the fe over and over. the woman's wife gets in between the two before he walks off. the clerk here says it's hard to believe. detectives would track car.

hazardous conditions for beach-goers. 63 in pompano beach. winds out of the west southwest up and downn the keys anywhere between 10 and 12 miles per hour and by miami-dade and broward hour. wouldn't be surprised if your wind gusts start to reach the 15 to 200 mark and possibly winds could reach up to 30 miles per hour today. these temperatures are anywhere between 11 and 16 degre warmer than what we woke up to yesterday. it. one thing we can tell you, even though it's warmer out there, it isolated activity moving through the keys. we will see those mid and high level clos around today. check out the snowfall, of the green bay packers and the northeast still from nework up to boston, but we're seeing the snowfall as far south of tennessee and stretching into georgia and even the carolinas. look at these temperatures all the way
