20s and 30s. that's the clash of the two air masses lifted in the atmosphere providing for the severe weather you just heard eric mention and the severe weather that could be potentially moving in towards northern florida as we speak and could eventually affect uss here in south florida. i'm happy to tell you this morning, no worries. mostly clear skies, dry conditions and then we'll see the clouds slowly start to build by the afternoon. we do the have the watch box in effect for northern florida. remember the line of these storms extends all the way into the gulf of mexico and that's what 're going to continue to watch. as we widen the view, you can see this is a very large storm system. the area of low pressure itself parked right over tennessee and towards mississippi. on the bkside of the system lots of snow for parts of chicago, missouri, all the way down towards memphis. that tornado watch box will be in effect until 10:00 a.m. these storms will slowly progress towards the east. we will see the

crews on i-75 this morning between mere a. more parkway and i-75. traffic flowing without any issues. i suspect those crews are gone which is good at 5:30 a.m. no delays are reported on i-75. however, if you're on broward county traveling on the turnpike, ongoing construction here right at sunrise boulevard. that exit ramp northbound and southbound we're seeing heavy delays. this is an ongoing construction plan here. if you live in the spot, just be aware those crews are still there. let's get to i-95 this morning where we're acdent-free. if you are traveling starting at hollywood boulevard heading down south on the i to the glades. at this point going to take y y roughly six minutes. if you're already at the glades headidi into downtown miami, maybe you're heading to the airport, only about eight minutes. developing right now, police say they were forced to fire at a man following a domestic dispute. all o this sending police officers swarming

night. erica rakow is live in kendall to explain why this dispute escalated into gunfire. >>reporter: police say this situation involved several people, all family members. it started with an argument here outside the dadeland mall, continued with a w#man being forced into a car and then a police officer opening fire. everyone is okay but this investigation far from over. >> the moment i walked outside, i saw these officers, police cars and obviously a hehecopter. i was like whoa, something's going down, you know. >>reporter: there was a lot going on. miami-dade police say shoppers and diners stuck at the mall longer than expected. their cars inside a crime scene when they came out. >> there's a shooting. i'm assuming it was probab around this area. so, yeah, theyy held it down for 10 or 15 minutes before i lefef >>reporter: police say a married couple having dinner with their families started arguing. detectives say the

auake rattling bakersfield, california. 4.9 quake causing the camera to start shaking. no injuries were reported. check out this vidid out of iowa where wild winds caused major damage to a ferris wheel. the gondolas swingings winds gusted up to 60 miles per hour rolled through that area. thankfully nobody was on the ride at the time so nobody was hurt. we're getting a look at more of the damage left behind by a tornado that struck in pensacola last night. emergency crews say at least six people were hurt. the tornado was part of a severe weather outbreak that also hit three other gulf coast states. and that is all headed our way. currently the worst of@ the weather well to the northwest of us over the gulf of mexico and over northern florida. as soon as you walk out the door, you're going to notice it's warm, humid. wiwi our temperatures running about 15 degrees above where we should be this time of year, this is going to set the

one thing you don'tant to it allows for the lifts and prop decides for the possibility of strong to severe storms. because o& all of that occurring, that's what we're expecting. a temperature of 75 right now in pembroke pines as well as pompano beach. hey, kendall, 73 degrees. 75 in marathon. the winds muchh calmer this morning but that will change as the front approaches the area. wind speeds right now anywhere between six and ten miles per hour. taking a look at the satellite and radar composite, you'll see where the actual storm system is but with the temperatures you'll notice, look at this behind the front. we have temperatures in the 20s and 30s. this is a very strong cold froro moving into the southeast and in towards florida. ahead of it temperatures in the 60s and 70s. for now we're dry, a little bit of cloud cover in place. the line o o shower and thunderstorm activity is, it's right over northern florida, jacksonville, up towards the carolinas.

about two to three lanes of traffic shut down at miami lakes drive. our c cera at 163rd facing south so you can see these are our northbound lanes. at this point looks like one lane getting by. that's kind of difficult to see obviously with all those lights flasasng but an injury crash here causing heavy delays for anyone traveling north on the palmetto expressway. let me break down the traffic ststy for you again. that crash happening at 154th street. those speeds at three miles per hour.$& obviously taking a closer look in right here. you see all of those colors indicating what the slowdowns are in place for about a mile and a half. hey, if you have to take the palmetto expressway add another ten to 15 minutes on your commute. instead travel north off of ludlam road or red road instead this morning. everything else looking pretty clear out there, looking pretty good. if you're traveling in the area of the turn pike, we do see slowdowns in the
