thing you'll notice is a shift in the wind direction providing for these comfortable temperatures this morning. 63 in ft. lauderdale. 62 pompano beach. 64 in kendall. in marathon. yesterday we had temperatures much warmer. check it out. our temperatures have dropped in the wake of that cold front anywhere between six and 13 degrees cooler than yesterday. now let's talk about the winds at 13 miles per hour in miami, 14 mile per hour wind out of the northwest in ft. lauderdale, 16 mile per hour wind down by the keys. wind gusts in the 20s. a june right windy day will be in store for us. therefore we have rough surf expected for you boaters. i'm happy to tell you we are expecting dry conditions as high pressure is going to build from the north keeping that cool air connection for us. throughout the morning we are going to see temperatures i the low 60s. a nice refreshing change and this is one of the days of three you're going toe able to open up the windows. highs today reaching the

well below the average. >> we're going to take it, julie. we love it like this. i-95 southbound at griffin road, reports of three lanes blocked. flashing lights there to the disisnce, obviously crews are still out there causing some minin slowdowns, minor. if you live in broward county you know the drill here off of i-75. again reports of three lanes blocked in our southbound lanes. those crews should be out of there the next 30 minutes or. so let's get to miami-dade county where we do have reports of a crash, this time off the dolphin expressway. if you're traveling west-bound on the approach to 107th avenue. that's where we have and accident scene. those speeds affected just slightly at 58 miles per hour but not a lot to worry about. nearby we do have construction crews this time on the palmetto expressway southbound just past that exit ramp there at 25th street. those speeds at 2 2miles per hour. now to a developing story this morning, two shootings last night on

miami-dade leaving one teenager dead and another in the hospital. these shootings just the latest cases of gun area. police say the first shooting happened at northwest 75th street and 19th avenue. a gunman walking up, opening fire on a him. shortly after that gunshots rin out on aven. that left a 17-year-old dead. >> look at the either they are frightened out of their minds or the just don't care. it's like they become numb to it, if you will. it's the norm and that shouldn't be. >> police still working to determine whether those shootings are related. meanwhile they continue to search for those still responsible. >> i just hope that they get what they deserve. >> after days of asking who killed king carter,

and this is just the beginning. ririt now we have 63 degrees in pembroke pines, 62 in pompano beach. 69 in marathon. now i want you to understand and put this into perspective that our highs today are only going to reach 60 degrees. providing for a very chilly start to the weekend. right now that northwest wind anywhere between 12, 14 and even 18 miles per hour with wind gusts in the 20s this morning. that hoses allowed for our temperatures to drop anywhere between six and 13 degrees cooler than what we woke up to yesterday. right now temperatures are in the 40s. we have the 50s across central florida and just to the north is where we are dealing with the strong asevere thunderstorm activity it. currently we are dry and this cloud cover will break by midmorning. as you can see the leading edge of the front, you heard me mention between the boundary of miami-dade and broward and off the

shower and thunderstorm activity stretches as far north as boston. behind the system cold arctic air providing for snow in the great lakes, chicago and ohio and into tennessee. look at the temperatures it, 20s and 30s. that cold air is stretching as far south as the panhandle in the 40s. eventually that cold air will be pushing into south florida. cool breeze this morning, starting this northwest breeze and this change in the forecast. starting to settle in weather by this afternoon and a chilly start going into friday as lows will be in the 50s. by saturday we're forecasting lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. so get ready for a nice change. something we've been seeing from time to time. a bit of a roller-coastst to get there. enjoy a lot of sunshine. you'll jusus need to bundle up. constance jones? >> julie durda, thank you very much. the flashing lights obviously there. they are picking up the cones.

right now i is over the northeast associated with that system. the strong northwest wind is what we're talking about this morning making it nice and comfortable. 63 degrees in pembroke pines, 65 in miami. 62 in pompano beach and 64 in kendall. these are six and 13 degrees cooler than what we woke up to yesterday. thank goodness for that northwest breeze because that's going to keep some cool air settling today. the front itself is still right over the miami-dade and broward but it will eventually clear south florida bymidmorning. temperatures will reflect that by this afternoon only reaching the low 70s. again, that is causingconcern. rough surf for you boaters. all the rain continues to push away. i'll have more details on this coming up. i-95 looking pretty good this morning although it could be a little tricky at sheridan. we have reports of an accident and construction crews still out picking up the cones. this is i-95 at sheridan, a live look. you see just a little bit of congestion right here in our northbound

but it doesn't mean it's not out there, right. taking a look at our traffic data here, we're going to see if there are any reports of slowdowns. those speeds clocking in between 63 and 66 miles per hour. all right. one other crash toet to, this one in its clearing stages, ,olphin expressway on the approach to the turn pike. we know this one is earing up. those speeds at 58 miles per hour right at 107th avenue. finally quickly some construction concerns for our broward drivers. reports of three lanes shut down at the sawgrass expressway northbound right at 595. if you're trying to travel north, what you need to do is exit off that flamingo road, continue west to state road 54 and you'll be able to find your way back up to the sawgrass expressway. two tetes caught in two different incidents minutes apart. >> that gunfire erupting minute apart from another.

sanela sabovic live with some more details. >>reporter: good morning, eric and jacey. only hours after the miami-dade police department has announc that two people were arrested for the shooting death of a six-year-old child, two teenagers were shot. again, as you mentioned only minutes apart. one of them is recovering at ryder trauma center where the other one sadly would not make it. let's get to a map to see where these shootings took place. the second near northwest 71st street and 14th avenunu miami's liberty city neighborhood. a 16-year-old teenager@ police have identified as dekwan gordon. police saw a man walked up to gordon which was outside with a friend and ust started shooting at the pair. the person responsible for pulling the trigger then took off in a newer model red toyota camry. the second shooting again taking plala only minutes after the first
