we do have a weak front that's going to approach south florida increasing a little bit of cloud cover throughout the day. your wednesd is going to look fantastic with mostly dry conditions. highs in the lower 80s. i'll have more coming up. now back to vote 2016 coverage, the results of the alaska republican caucus just coming in overnight. ted cruz pulling off his third win of super tuesday with 36% of&the vote in a tight race against donald trump. >> donald trump declared the winner of vermont, john kasich coming in second following by rubaie. >> marco rubio's only victory coming out of minnesota. he won the state with 37% of the vote. sanders claiming victory there. >> but he could not claim nearby, massachusetts. this called late last night in favor of hillary clinton. >> so as things stand

not include super delegates. hillary clinton has an estimated 552 delegates, 2,382 are needed to secure the nomination. >> ted cruz trails behind with 149. marco rubio with 82. 1,327 are needed for the republican nomination. south florida was the center of the political universe. on super tuesday three major candidates holding events here last night. >> in two weeks the sunshine state becomes the next big prize for both republican and democratic candidates. >> we continue with team coverage this morning. that starts with carlos suarez in palm beach. >>reporter: his hall of delegates makes it quite difficult for the remaining republicans in the race to catch up with him. the states that he won on tuesday make it very difficult for the other republicans to make it difficult to put a case against the coalition. the only question remains whether or not he can cross that

delegates and avoid an open convention. trump spoke with a small group of guests. he was joined on stage by chris christie. trump seemed subdued. the campaign had hoped for a sweep but it will look like trump could win eight to nine of the eleven voting states. he praised senator ted cruz with his win in texas. on pressed whether he would call on rubio to drop out, if he loses florida on march 15th, trump said he would not. >> i know it was a tough night for marco rubio, he had a tough night. he worked hard, spent a lot of money. he is a lightweight as i said many times before. we're going to go to florida. we're going to spend so much time in florida. i know a lot of groups and special interests and lobbyists and have their little senator do

conservatives and for the nation. >> the third candidate hosting an event on super tuesday was hillary clinton. >> leaving senator bernie sanders behind in many areas. southern states showing big support for hillary clinton last night, doing very well aafrican-american voters. her lead will be very hard for sanders to beat. during her speech she spoke about the importance of unity in america. >> it's clear tonight the stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we're hearing on the other side has never been lower. trying to divide america between us and them is wrong and we're not going to let it work. >> bernie sanders also won his home state but he struggled in other parts of the country.

toilet. according to the police report she noticed a strange device tucked away under the sink. she took it apart, brought it to her husband at the table. she started researching on her phone to see what it was. the result, a motion sensitive camera. >> those at the restaurant weren't happy to see us. we were trying to get answers after police arrested a man.. we found out he was only charged with tampering with the evidence. he became very nervous and began to walk around and pace the restaurant as if attempting to get away from or avoid victim two. the mother demanded to see what was on the camera as he walked from the back room of the

the mother later notices the memory chip was missing. so police were called and began investigating. now this man is charged with tampering with evidence, also resisting arrest. no actual video has been recovered but police are still investigating. i'm andrew perez, local 10 news. fiu's women's basketball coach has been sidelined. fiu coach marlin chin has been arrested. teteing the "miami herald" her coach made repeated sexual advances to her. the herald reports he was sending his player inappropriate text messages. the coach claims he leapt her money and that would be a violation. she also complained of the school's athletics administration. fiu releasing a statement saying an investigation is under way and the coach has

the investigation. crews arriving to handle a fire in ft. lauderdale. video shows heavy smoke was pouring out of the building. this is on state road 84. the damage was contained. the flames were eventually put out. chaos in court, three teens face a judge

all is quiet, the winds are calm this morning. the cooler, more comfortable conditions are inland. we have 62 right now in pembroke pines, 61 in homestead. 62 in kendall and 64 in pompano beach. with the wind c cm this morning, you're definitely going to feel a bit of humidity. the transition will continue t@ humidity to stay established. across the state we're all seeing warm conditions. we have the 50s and as from the panhandle all the way down to southwest florida and into southeast florida. for us what we're noticing more than anything is some cloud cover that's spilling rain for the past couple of days but plentnt of sunshine has been breaking through. yesterday we had our highs in the lower 80s. we do have a weak cold front. it is starting to fizzleout after bringing severe weather in the front yeyterday. alabama as well as mississippi had tornadoes touch down. up towards the north with that area of low

towards the east. so we are expecting beck to stay dry ahead of it and this system will didinish as it pushes towards thehe central portions of the state. record rainfall, no rprise from december to february, we set the wettest record in miami, wettest recordd of over 20 inches of rain. the old recordas 19 inches. that was set back in 1905. it was a very wet december. no surprises we're getting ready for spring. the reason we're not going to see much of a change in our forecast is the jet stream is goingo stay far to the north of us. so not much of a change for the next few days. you heard me talk about that yesterday. highs will stay above average. we'll have a weak front try to move in by saturday. the latest in automotive technology could potentially kill you. >> local 10 news

eight of those cases here in south florida killing ten people. >> it's broke, it's an issue, and you know it and it's been a lot of years. >>reporter: matt's family sued toyota for negligence. the auto maker settled. a rule with proposed to address safety issues like requiring an addible warning. five years later the agency has yet to act. >> the car companies have stalled them from doing anything too. so nothing changes and pele keep dying. >>reporter: when it comes to a warning it depends on the manufacturer. some cars like bmw give no obvious indication once you getut of the car and walk away with the key in your hand at the engine is still running. others like hyundai have external alarms but say
