local 10 ns. layron livingston is live this morning with more of her story and her terrifying ordeal. layron, good morning. >>reporter: good morning, eric. from the get-g-g deputies felt whoever took this two month old child knew this family and this child and now the mother's cousin sits in custody and that's thehardest thing for this mom to get over. local 10 was the first to sit down with melinda kemp. the focus of a state-wide amber alert issued last friday and that's when armed intruders stormed into apartment. mom says she called 911 after a gun was pointed taken. authorities would later arrest stephanie augustine, the mother's cousin along with the 14-year-old relative. the baby was later found abandoned but okay in orlando. melinda kemp says she went to her cousin to figure out why she would

the rest of his life in prison. he's also set to sta trial in the rape and robbery of another woman and the attempted capping of two young gis. skeletal remains were found in an oakland park field. they were found yesterday at a field in 27th avenue. the remains have yet to be taken to a medical examiner's office. detectives wil seek help from forensic anthropologists. >> deputies hope you recognize this missing woman. deputies say she has alzheimer's. only speaks french. 76-year-old visiting from canada last seen around 6:00 last night near northeast sixth avenue. we're told she was wearing a yellow shirt and shorts. please call broward sheriff's office if you think you have seen this woman. charges against a planantion man accused of deserting his 16-year-old son has dropped.

the winds calm this morning. we're begin anywhere between three and eight miles an hour. the shift in the wind direction is due to a weak front that fizzled right over south florida, not doing much to impact their temperature but keeping a little bit of cloud cover in place. where the temperatures is cooler is over northern florida. check it out. 43 in gainesville. 48 in tallahassee. so we'll continue to see some cloud cover in place but these clouds are not producing precipitation because high p pssure is now building over the area thanks to that front being so weak. all the energy with the system was basically over parts of the southeast yesterday and then it lacked that energy this morning. currently we're watching another sysysm. this is the system that will bring our temperatures back to where they should be this time of year but it's not going toappen until friday night, saturday morning. right now bringing portions of snow over ohio. this is how this should be for our winter time here in south florida.

and monroe monday. police are on the hunt for this man caught on camera robbing a a miami convenience store at knife point. sueillance video shows the man walking at the golden market. moments later he pulls out a knife and demands money. if@you have any information, please call police. a south florida man has been arrespted in connection with a gold heist along i-95 in north carolina. the theft of nearly $5 million worth of gold bars happened one year ago this week and police say 46-year-old alberto perez was involved in that heist but they haven't said how. perez's sister-in-law doesn't think that's the case. >> if all this were true, i don't see how he could be living here, owning the type of vehicle he owns. you know, two and two doesn't add up. >> the heist happened of a tractor trailer was pulled over on i-95 by two gunman pretending to be police and then they made off with all that will gold. perez isis the second arrested in connection with the crime.

pompano beach with 66. 73 to marathon. not much of a change to our forecast. this is how we like it. this is how our winter should be here in south florida where we have soh florida in place keeping our weather pattern very quiet, somethin we haven't had throughout much of winter. the last week has been rely nice. we are going to notice more sunshine today just like what we saw yesterday. we are expecting our highs to rapidly warm up to the low to mid 80s. first light over the horizon, sunrise going to occur inn about three minutes. just gorgeous conditions as we're startingg off this thursday. where the cold air is, it's over portions of the panhandle and into the southeast. we do have this mid and high level clouds around, just ignore that echo from our radar. the showers we are noticing on the radar, that is real up towards the west northwest associated with an area of low pressure and the cold front. this i the same system that brought all the snow acrosshe dakotas and nebraska.
