university today fired the head coach of the women's basketball team after allegations of sexual misconduct. local10 sports reporter clay ferrero is here with more. >> clay: fiu continues to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against marlin chinn. however, the school has now fired chinn as its women's basketball coach for another reason. the school says that chinn admitted that he knowingly broke ncaa rules regarding impermissible benefits to student athletes. chinn has also been accused of school misconduct by the@ team's captain after he said been suspended for an legend criminal theft. the in a statement the universityty said "the university's title nine allegations made by mr. chinn against a student athlete will continue." the school said that a nationwide search for a new head coach begins immediately. >> janine: we'll see what happens. a weekend walker if you are heading out to the beach after you get off of work. >> calvin: he is windy conditions we're facing to are leading to a lot of swimmers

the affected area. this call apparently came in just after 1:30 this afternoon, and you're looking at the area, this is a wide overhead view, t if you look to the right of your screen you can see heavy, heavy smoke. is is a brushfire that we have learned about, and you can even see some of the flames there there at the base of where that smoke is coming from. this is affecting an extremely large area as you can tell just from the scope of what you're looking at. again this is in west meade, a lot of smoke, flames -- west miami-dade. a lot of smoke, flames on the ground. this fortunately is a wide open space, though we're not s%eing a lot of homes or other residential places nrby. this is west of the turnpike. but right now we are told this has been going on for several hours. so obviously crews will be working to contain this situation, and for now we are keeping an eye on it and we will keep you posted as soon as we learn new details. >> janine: also at 5:30 miami beach police want to find thecrooks behind this skimming
