1:15 am
ar you lose the hour of sleep. good news is we got some autiful weather here across south florida to start the week. 74 degrees. we'll only take 2ore off of that going to 72 tomorrow morning. the biggest change will be the radar tomorrow afternoon. ance of showers and thunderstorms. and tonight on the satellite view, you can see these clouds that have been moving ahead over the mid to upper levels of the atmosphere today. the surface wind has been out of& the southeast and that allowed our temperatures to go up to 81 degrees in miami. just one above our normal of 80. tomorrow it will hit 84. we will be a little warmer here the south. tonight we're still 76 marathon. 75 key west. 74 here along the coastline. again we'll be there with the low 70s with a very mild start. part of the reason? the souoheast wind will continue overnight tonight. right now less than 12 miles per hour except key west and fort lauderdale. key west has the highest wind there at 16. and what's happening here across the east coast, we've got an area of high pressure parked off
1:16 am
the coast of the caroline as. as that moves closer to bermuda our winds will turn southeast to south as this area of low pressure continues to move through the southeast. now tonight it is bringing with it some pretty heavy rainfall, flooding concerns across louisiana. that is now pulling up into the tennessee valley from memphis all the way up to paduka, kentucky. even indianapolis. some morehowers moving through the panhandle tonight. what we're going to watch here the cloud cover starts to come in a little more out of the south. torrow morning a couple showers around. by 2:00 not that much indicated by the modods but it's that window from about 3 to 7 where weould see rain. and i think right now, the focus area willle northern dade into broward because when we get a southerly wind, the thunderstorms are due to developop to move north into palm beach county. and then by midnight starting the day on monday, dry but we could see a couple of showers there in the afternoon hours on monday. so we'll drop the rain chance down to about 30 percent. so all in all, its going to be a warm forecast here over the next couple of dayss that warm weather continues.
1:17 am
now, if you are heading to the beach tomorrow, if you're in town for spring break, enjoy. 74 degrees. winds southeast 15 to 20 miles per hour and theurf 2 to 3 feet. taking the boat out, small craft caution on the d de and broward coats the line. so over the next few days, 40 percent chance late in the day tomorrow. we will keep temperatures well above normal as we get towards thursday and friday. cheyenne. >> cheyenne: a frightening scene caught on camera. an out of control driver puts a bus driver on alert before a head-onn avo: when account lead craig wilson books at laquinta.com. avo: he gets a ready for you alert the second his room is ready. avo: so he knows exactly when he can settle in and practice his big pitch. avo: and when craig gets his pitch down pat, do you know what he becomes? clclnt: great proposal! let's talk more over golf! craig: great. client: better yet, how about over tenniss craig: even better. avo: a game changer! secretary: your 2 o'clclk is here. client: oops, hold your horses. craig: no problem. avo: la quinta innnn& suites is ready for you, so you'll be ready for business. avo: the ready for you alert, only at laquinta.com.
