one seeds. good monday morning. we begin with that breaking news, another major train derailment the second in the less than a week. >> new images coming in from kansas. five amtrak cars on their side. this happened 20 miles west of the dodge city. there are injuries. none of them we're told are life-threatening. >> it was bound from los angeles to chicago, carrying 128 passengers and 14 crew members. >> obviously, the cash investigation is in its early stages right now. witnesses onboard said that the train started shaking. last week, a commuter train in california derailed when it struck a tree, we're working to t some new details on this amtrak derailment later in this half-hour other major story, the race to the white house. republican front-runner donald trump rejecting blame for the violence.

death toll is rising following a terror attack in the capital of turkey. police suspect that kurdish militants carried out the attack which the main boulevard of ankara. the turkish prime minister promising to bring terrorism to its knees. now, al qaeda's north africa affiliate is claiming responsibility in an attack on a popular beach resort. the gunmen stormed t beach. one witness described the panic as the terrorists opened fire. back here at home, restless night because of severe weather in springfield, missouri, a storm dumped as much as 5 inches of rain in less than five hours. at least 60 water rescues took place. roads are closed.

arkansas, also being hit with severe storms and heavy rain as you can see. some roads are closed because of flooding. there's no report of damage from the storms. forecasters expect the weather to clear out by daybreak. take a look at that radar the storm system has moved a little to the east, now drenching parts of kentucky, tennessee and mississippi. another storm is causing problems in northern california, two families have had to evacuate their homes because of a mudslide. other homes may be in danger. the problems started several months ago. formal announcement from the white house on president obama's choice to replace supreme court justice antonin scalia. he has reportedly narrowed it to three choices. senate republicans are still

and new overnight a dramatic high-speed chase of a stolen police cruiser through parts of los angeles ended when police opened fire on the driver. that driver hit speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour. weaving in and off of freeways. the stolen car was corred in an alley. gas prices are going up and drivers are seeing the difference at the pumps. the national average price for a gallon of gas is now $1.94, that's up 24 cents from a month ago and more than 12 cents in a week. largest weekly increase this year already. demand is up and we're diving more because gas has been so inexpensive. nissan is recalling more than 47,000 leaf electric car because of brake problems.
