terribly high but it is adding just a few more degrees our temperatures. we check out the numbers all around, hialeah at 85 i've already seen some of these numbers bouncing up as high as 88 in this afternoon so we're starting to drop off by just a few degrees, no question about it. it is still kind of hot out there. by 6:00tonight eye few clouds about deference in the lower 80s. maybe by 8:00 tonight some of you start to sneak just before 80 and we're going to be 79 around miami beach. so it will be warmer out there and likely mainly dry. we're checking out the doppler radar right now. i think we're going to have a tough time getting any real showers or storms to develop over broward, miami-dade or the keys because high pressure, an area of high pressure is sitting so close. so that helping to keep the air suppressed. thus, we can't get the showers and storms bubbling up, at least not this afternoon. are tracking a weak cold front starting to enter the panhandle. that front will essentially stall so it won't bring any relief come tomorrow. we are expecting more hot

>> dr. ari soffer: we begin with breaking news right now at 4:30 we're learning about a firefighter arrested on some disturng charges. >> janine: camp has more on this one candlelight vigil the breaking news, a 44-year-old apparently has served d th the miami-dade fire department for 21 years, according to the arrest affidavit he was in bond court facing serious charges. one charge apparently is for strangulation, domestic bat require by strangulation and the other charge was false imprisonment. according to the arrest affidavit apparently ali pond ser and his girlfriend had gotten into a fight and apparently the verbal altercation led to fact that apparently ponder put his hands around her neck and kept her in the bedroom apparently. he tried to lock her in the bedroom for some two hours. apparently after they got into this verbal altercation. and this fight went on until she

so once again, ali ponder wi 21-year veteran of miami-dade fire department, apparently he is now facing very very serious charges, one for domestic battery and the other one for false imprisonment. a story we're going to continue to follow as we continue to watch this stowre from the rerecca news desk. >> janine: calvin, thank you. caught on camera police are looking for a serial armed robber who is targeting 7-eleven stores in pompano beach. local10 news reporter terrell forney has the story from pompano beach. >> terrell: good afternoon. this store here at 2391 dixie highway was one of several to be hit by the same brazen robber over the past few weeks. the workersere are still a bit uneasy, and this is why bsopis now keeping an eye on things, at least for the time being. but let's show that you surveillance video. the store here was hit on february 26th. the robber uses a ma chet tow pull off the heist. detectives say he turns off the power to the store during that
