is cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> a scary scene in princeton, inform. a school bus flips after a collision with a car. tonight, the mother of one of the people on board that bus speaks with "eyewitness news." good evening, i'm chris may. >> i'm jessica dean. that crash happened on route 206 which is lawrence road in princeton and tonight "eyewitness news" reporter diana rocco caught up with the bus driver's mother as her daughter was being treated at the hospital. after seeing these pictures this mother says she's grateful her daughter or another person wasn't killed. sandra molder is bus aide was on her route tuesday when she got the call her daughter a driver at the same bus company was in a serious accident o and route 206. >> when i first talked to her she was crying a little bit. the bus looks terrible. she was lucky,. >> reporter: the bus was bringing students home from rock brook school in skillman,

new jersey. chopper three shows all three people on board including the driver 44-year-old veronica, a 71 year old bus aide and a 16-year-old student being brought out on stretchers. police say the bus collided with this white bmw just before 3 o'clock turning it on its side. >> the bmw's front end struck the left front bumper of the bus. the bus subsequent to impact flipped over to its right side. one of the vehicles crossed over the center lines to create the impact. but that's still under investigation. >> reporter: the bmw driver 26 year old justin thomas of morris county only suffered bus and bruises but molder says her daughter was still getting x-rayed late into the night. >> she tell me she was doing pretty good, she was doing good, you know, she was in pain. >> reporter: all three people aboard that school bus have since been released from the hospital. police are still working to determine who was at fault and if charges or a summons will

be issued. in princeton, new jersey, i'm diana rocco for "eyewitness news" on the cw philly. >> an arrest warrant is issued for the husband accused of plunging his wife's sports car into the delaware river over a divorce dispute. both are speaking out tonight. philadelphia police pulled the red corvette out of the water near the tacony palmyra bridge last night. the wife says she had a protection from abuse order against her had you been, john kramer and now fears for her safety but kramer tells us this is all a misunderstanding. >> i didn't know i was doing anything wrong. i thought it was my car. i wanted to get rid of the damn thing. i couldn't take this arguing over it while i was trying to get my minivan. >> it was unimaginable what took place. i'm very frightened and for my two daughters as well. >> tonight philadelphia police are urging kramer to turn himself in. >> it has been another mild

fall evening. people out and about in chestnut hill tonight but the cold is coming. however, before it does, we have fog to worry about. there's a little something of everything out there, right? meteorologist kathy orr is tracking things from the cbs3 sky desk. how is it right now, kathy? >> right now no issues but it's this mild air that sits over the delaware valley, south jersey and delaware that's the problem. some cooler air coming in off the ocean will create areas of dense fog. take a look, we have that dense fog advisory in effect for most of new jersey and delaware until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. here's a look at what we expect. we expect visibilities to get quite low, .3 of the mile along the shore points in atlantic city and that is expected to pill westward. visibility down to a quarter mile or less in these areas just slow down early tonight and tomorrow. use your headlights. it should dissipate after 10 o'clock wednesday morning. look what's coming. an arctic front is heading towards the keystone state.

we'll talk more about the cold that is coming and how long it will linger coming up with some seven-day forecast when i join you inside. >> okay, kathy, we'll see you then and thank you. the suspect in the abduction of carlesha gaither will be in court nome philadelphia. "eyewitness news" there today as vehicles carrying delvin barnes arrived at the federal detention center in center city. barnes was being held on other charges in virginia but he was brought here to face the kidnapping charges in the gaither case. he'll be held for three days. authorities found the two in maryland last wednesday. barnes remains in federal custody in philadelphia tonight. well, a warning for women now in chester county, the manager of a pizza hut in caln township says that she left the restaurant with a bank deposit bag in her hand saturday night only to be ambushed by a man who stole the bag. then about 24 hours later and just a couple hundred feet away, a worker leaving amelia's grocery outlet was attacked and pepper sprayed.

police are trying to figure out if one suspect is responsible for both incidents. well, a suspect is in custody on this veterans day night accused of desecrating the graves of vets at two cemeteries in bucks county and while veterans and their family say they're happy someone is behind bars they wonder how could anyone do this. our natasha brown has the story new at 10:00. >> why? that's the question. why would somebody do that to any cemetery. >> reporter: that is the question that still haunts tom gates three months after discovering that flags had been burned and grave site markers destroyed at two cemeteries in bensalem. >> five different incidents resulting in a lot of damage of flags, american flags that were burned as well as damage to some of the monuments in the cemetery and other grave markers. >> reporter: the charred remains from the vandalism tour at the heart strings of patrick jones aviette yam war vet and chaplain of this

v.f.w. post. his parents and several others are buried but their graves were left untouched. >> i'm happy to hear that they did get someone. >> reporter: relief came with news of an arrest in the case, 29 year old anthony davis is now behind bars. >> i'm glad that this happened on veterans day, that we were able to make closure of an individual burning american flags, an individual that was disgracing veteran cemeteries. >> reporter: flags have been replaced, grave markers restored. patrick says now his loved ones can rest in peace. >> there's people buried there especially the veterans that, you know, sacrificed a lot over the years probably carried a lot of nightmares with them and, you know, to have that happen it's unreal. >> reporter: bensalem police were able toiling this suspect to the crime using dna evidence. he's facing vandalism arson and related offenses in. bensalem, natasha brown, "eyewitness news" on the cw philly. >> meanwhile millions of dollars are being spent to accommodate the growing demand for veteran burial plots in

new jersey. governor chris christie paid tribute to veterans at the brigadier general william c. doyle veterans memorial cemetery today. "eyewitness news" in north hanover township burlington county. the state veterans cemetery has received federal grants for $17.5 million worth of upgrade. extra space for future deceased vets is being prepared. >> assisting our veterans who have served their families. >> as part of the upgrades, head stones are being reset and new burial facilities are under construction. philadelphia's own bill cosby helped celebrate the 80th anniversary of the all wars memorial to colored soldiers and sailors this veterans day. this was originally erected in a secluded area of fairmount park in 1934. 20 years ago it was moved to logan square for all to see. the memorial honors the date african-americans were

cold and snow to the midwest and we're still six weeks away from winter. take a look at this scene from marquette, michigan, on michigan's upper peninsula. they got more than a foot of snow there just since yesterday. the cold associated with that system will soon be headed our way but not the snow we hope. we'll check in with kathy. she has her full forecast in about three minutes. well, the search is on tonight for two gunmen who pulled off a jewelry store heist in new york city's diamond district today. police say that one of the well dressed suspects posed as a delivery man and was buzzed into an office while the other quickly followed. the two emptied the safe and then took off. there were four workers on the job but they were not injured. a 10-year-old boy is rescued after falling into a quarry in new york. that boy was with his mother, father and sibling in white plains when some rocks gave way. the boy fell about 30 feet down the rock face of the quarry. his father is an emergency

room doctor and was able to tend to his son until rescue crews arrived. the child is hospitalized tonight, he's treated for neck and back injuries. >> well, talk about a sticky situation for one man in colorado. check this outs. rescue crews were forced to break through the wall of a department store to pull a man stuck inside that wall to safety. officials think the man tried to get into the store through the roof and fell through getting wedged inside the wall. people inside the store heard him. they called for help. police think he was in there for two days. he's now being treated at the hospital. one of the busiest travel periods of the entire year is just about two weeks away now and if you haven't booked thanksgiving air fair yet you're not entirely out of luck. >> not entirely but as three on your side consumer reporter jim donovan finds, you may have to do some digging for those deals and of course keep your plans flexible. >> reporter: for those who haven't yet booked thanksgiving tickets george of air fair watchdog.com says it's not entirely impossible

but you want to get away for a familiar are still too costly like las vegas orlando and new orleans, popular tourist spots are actually less crowded for thanksgiving and you may find a good deal. reporting for three and our side, i'm jim donovan. >> caught on camera tonight a pretty close encounter with a hammer head shark just off the california coast. >> four men were spearfishing when they spotted an 8-foot long hammer head. so two decided to jump in and swim with it. >> sure. >> that's going to go well. they quickly reconsidered when it got aggressive. >> only when we hopped in the water was it really evident that he was really fired up and he came straight in, you know, to the point that we were pulling our fins in and keeping our limbs close to our body. within 45 seconds of jumps in the water with him it went from him kind of scoping us out to being right on top of us. >> a shark expert says hammer head sightings and attacks are rare but more are happening because they're following prey in the warmer water brought on

by el nino. >> we are looking at a mild evening across its delaware valley. the clouds are rolling in and down the shore we're seeing some fog developing, dense fog will be around through south jersey and delaware overnight. our weather watchers are saying not so bad out there this evening. doug is reporting a temperature of 56 degrees. he's saying no fog has been observed yet this evening. but it will be moving through south jersey. let's take a look down the shore where we are a little bit closer to the action. temperatures are in the mid-50's here. james is saying in ocean city the temperature is 55 degrees. flow but not very -- now very damp but no fog yet. we'll keep an eye on that. little bit closer to philadelphia we'll travel with a temperature right now of 54 degrees in riverside and ron is reporting in a relative humidity 87 percent but look at that barometer, it is falling, an indication of a cold front heading our way. if you want to be a weather watcher, if you love the weather and you want to be

featured in one of our newscasts we would love you to sign up. go to cbsphilly.com/watchers. were you ever our issues tonight is definitely the fog. look at our skycam3 down in atlantic city. visibility reduced to .3 of a mile along some of our shore points. that dense fog advisory will continue until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. and this is the area we're talking about, from toms river in ocean county, down through cape may, central and southern delaware. this will be an issue so remember to pack some patience come tomorrow morning. temperatures are the next story. we're going to go from 10 degrees above average the past couple of days to 10 to 15 degrees below average starting by thursday. and once it gets cold, it looks like that cold is really going lang around for awhile. philadelphia 58, 56 in trenton, 55 in millville and the poconos it is 54. to the west we can see some warmth. in buffalo 61. highly unusual for this time of year. pittsburgh 64 ahead of the front but look at cleveland, the front is just passing through, the temperature down

to 47 degrees. association it will be a very quick switch of seasons so to speak. mild over us right now. we do have a weak coastal low that's bringing in some moisture helping to enhance that cooling effect and the fog and we could see a few sprinkles associated with this overnight tonight but by far the big story is the cold that will be coming. so, overnight you'll see some fog, some drizzle and then during the day tomorrow the skies will clear. the off will get very dry once this cold front moves through so early high temperatures for your wednesday in the 60's but quickly in the afternoon as you head out of work you'll notice a dramatic change, even from the morning, strong west-northwesterly winds. the air will be dry and the temperature will be falling. thursday only in the 40's, the same goes for friday. and we could even be seeing that colds lingering into most of next week. overnight areas of fog, spotty drizzle, the low temperature 54. tomorrow the early high 65 but during the afternoon those temperatures will fall and those winds will kick up out of the northwest. on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven-day forecast, a

huge swing in temperature. almost 20 degrees. we're looking at thursday's high only 49. 45 friday. saturday and sunday in the 40's. sunday night into early monday morning, maybe even a wet snow shower possible with morning lows below freezing. tuesday's high only 42 degrees. and while we're on the subject of snow and cold, what is it going to be like this winter? we have a very good idea coming up and we'll have details coming up on "eyewitness news" cbs3 tomorrow at 11:00 p.m. will it be cold? will it be snowy? last year 67.4-inches of snow, the second snowiest winter of all time. we'll talk about how this year will compare to that. >> okay. >> we remember every inch. >> we do. >> every single glitch so does my back.
