this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, it is chilly right now, but we're in for quite a roller coaster of a week of weather. one that will bring us rain, record warmth, and then some snow. but first up comes the rain. it is almost here. storm scan3 is tracking the weather err moving in from the south. after the rain, it is really going to warm up. and that is where the snow will come from. good evening, everyone, i'm natasha brown. justin drabick a tracking very busy week of weather for us with the latest. >> that's right, lots of weather to talk about this week. we are tracking our first storm system moving in from the south tonight. it is going to bring some warm air, so talking about just rain event all across the delaware valley. still cloudy skies over philadelphia areas north, but the front edge of the showers starting to move into cecil county, maryland, into parts

of kent and new castle county, delaware, but there is some steadier rain farther to the south and west, check it out, you get toward north carolina, southern virginia, pockets of heavier rain will come through our region through the overnight hours. keep that in mind if you are traveling. good news, pretty fast moving system, so by the ends of the morning commute we should be looking at drier conditions across the region. so overnight periods of rain, start across the region some of it heavy at times, overall rainfall amounts could get over half inch some spots. watch out for slow travel. how monday shaping up, showers around early morning, looks like after 7:00 the steady rain comes to ends, still slowing things down for could the youth. turns windy, temperatures low 70s, record for philadelphia tomorrow is 71 degrees, setback in 1979. so that could be broken. here we are right now, somewhat on the milder side. forty's, still some 50's this hour, with the clouds across the region. now tomorrow morning temperatures generally kind of holding steady around 40 degrees.

"eyewitness news" reporter justin fin such live at the scene, on dilworth street. he has the very latest for us, justin? >> reporter: that the tasha, philadelphia police are continuing their investigation to that woman's death tonight. we are told her naked and wounded body was found just behind us here in the back lot of that old warehouse. around 1:30 sunday afternoon police pulled to up this lot off south christopher columbus boulevard near dilworth street where a woman was found dead. hours later, police were back,

dropping off a man who tells "eyewitness news" he found the body then called 911. we are not identifying him. had you seen her before? >> no, i never seen her before. she don't got no clothes, no nothing. >> he says the woman was naked, with a large wound near her ribs. police say the woman is white, and between 35 and 40 years old, and was pronounced dead on scene. during our interview police came back for the man and pick him up for another round of questions. and that man has not come back just yet. meantime, nearby businesses tell us that police are scanning their surveillance video in hopes of turning up some leads. but so far that woman has not been identified. i'm justin finch, live in south philadelphia, "eyewitness news", on the "cw philly". all right, justin, thank you so much. and we also now know the mother who police believe shot her three children and then herself has now died. matt rivers live in tabernacle, new jersey, where the community gathered pray for the child still in the hospital. matt? >> reporter: natasha, there was a vigil this last add little bit over half hour this evening, outside of the town hall here in tabernacle township, and the message from those in attendance was very clear. they were not focusing on the crime itself, but rather, on focusing on trying to move forward and begin to heal. three days later, in the emotions are still raw. >> i have to say, on behalf of them, they are very greatful. >> jen helped organize the sunday night vigil, and has spoken to victims' family members. fourteen year old nick hair man, his eight year old sister nadia, and 11 year other bowled alex were all shot by their mother, who then turned the gun on herself. nick and naudia both died at the scene while alex remains in critical condition. jennine lapage died sunday morning. >> the family is keeping the

entire community in their prayers, as well. as they know this tragedy is felt by all of us. >> and that organizers say is why they called this vigil tonight, to give a tight-knit community the chance to grieve together, especially for its youngest members. >> we're trying to get our kids to understand something we can't, even begin to comprehend. >> so the message sunday was simple. this stuff hurts. it is never easy. but it is easier to get through it together. >> it is okay to cry. and that's what our kids need to see. they will see it tonight, that we are a huge family that will support them. >> it's been tough but we are together. >> tabernacle strong. >> tabernacle strong is right. >> and the local pta did purchase 5,000 or so white ribbons in remembrance of the victims of this crime, many of those ribbons will be worn by school children when they head to class tomorrow. live in tabernacle township, matt rivers, "eyewitness news"

at 10:00 on the "cw" fill. >> i thank you so much, matt. off initials mercer county meantime now say the hunt here was killed in west windsor yesterday accidentally shot himself. the unidentified 45 year old chesterfield man had been hunting geese with his father at the time when he was shot in the head and neck. his father was not hurt. and a double shooting in north philadelphia lands two teen boys in the hospital, shots rang out, just before 6:00 p.m., on the 2300 block of north fawn street. a 17 year old was shot in the arm and the leg, and a 16 year old was hit in the knee, both list in the stable condition. no arrests just yet. but police are hoping that a nearby surveillance camera will provide some clues in this case. well, the eagles they pull off another big win at home today against the tennessee titans, retaining their status as first in the division. sports director beasley reese is live in the sat center. he's got more on this big win today. hey, beasley? >> hey, natasha, lincoln

financial field, home shield advantage, tenth straight home victory for the birds today setting up that thanksgiving day showdown in dallas s the birds wasted no time getting on supreme court board. josh handcuff takes the opening kick off, deep in the end zone, came out, got the block and gone. longest kick off return for a touchdown in team history. and the birds were off and running. and shady mccoy swiped up the titans 31st ranked rushing defense running for 130 yards on 21 carries, and a touchdown. eagles crush the titans 43 to 24. >> guys did a great job of staying in the moment, playing the game, i thought they did good job last week, we talk about it when you make a mistake, at mitt it, fix it, don't repeat t they understand what we have to do. it is a, a lost can hurt you but you can't let the loss --

dan was the first to cross the finish line this morning with a unofficial time of just over two hours-17 minutes. meanwhile, lanara from new york had the fastest women's time, about two hours four minutes. for more results from today's race, check out cbsphilly.com. it is all there for you. >> ferguson, missouri remains city on edge tonight. grand jury is expected to announce any day now its decision whether to indict the office here shot michael brown. authorities are preparing for the possibility of more violence, setting up barricades, and also increasing police patrols. some local businesses have also boarded up their windows. so far only peaceful protests have been staged throughout the weekend. >> and police in cleveland, ohio, they shoot and kill a 12 year old little boy who was brandishing a gun, gun turned out to be fake. officer approached him at a local park where witnesses say he was pointing it at other people when they ordered him to raise his hands, investigators say, that's when

he reached for the bb gun that was in his waistband. that's when the officer fired two shots. both officers have been placed on administrative leave right now. >> marion barry the devisive but beloved former mayor of washington, d.c., has died. the cause of death, heart problems and kidney disease. barry served four terms as mayor. he gained note or at this at this in 1990 when he was caught on video light ago crack pipe in a hotel woman with a woman he accused dollars of setting him up. he served six months in federal prison. marion barry was 78 years old. >> it is no surprise which movie won the box office battle this weekend. but a debut of mocking jay part one is still being called a disappointment by some. we'll tell you why coming up. and flooding fears, the race is on in buffalo to clear out tons of snow before temperatures really start to rise tomorrow. justin? >> and we have some rain and record warmth to kick off the

yoplait. smooth, creamy, and craved by the whole family. the governor of new york says last week's deadly snowstorm in buffalo has cost the state $30 million. cbs news correspondent jericka duncan tells us rain, and falling temperatures, have led to a new fear now.

flooding. 100% of streets are passable in the city of buffalo now. >> buffalo's mayor says crowds like these have removed 09,000 tons of snow in and around the city. 7 feet of snow fell in part of western new york, over three days last week making for a difficult and costly clean up. >> it is going to be a significant financial impact, storm of historic magnitude in terms of snowfall in the city of buffalo. >> but the expenses may get even higher, if warming temperatures over the next couple of days quickly melt the snow causing flooding. >> if this becomes an in effect a dam, then you see the water here build up and come over the road. >> new york governor andrew cuomo is warning residents to take precautions now. >> people say, well, my home doesn't flood. i know. but there is always a first time. and we're seeing first time's all the time now.

the center of the storm tracking across the great lakes. warm side of the system. check out heavy rain indicated by the yellow on radar, that will be moving in over the next few hours, so through the overnight you are dealing with pockets of heavy rain. by the mid-morning commute monday looks like drier weather returns. we get warmfront through here with sunshine tomorrow afternoon. we will talk about temperatures in the low 70s, most likely we will be breaking some record highs for many locations across the delaware valley, cold front will come through later monday night, that bridges us back to where we should be for this time of year tuesday. highs into dollars mid 50's, then we watch wednesday, the big travel day of the year, that front stalls off the coast. here comes another storm up the coast. it will throw back some moisturement looks like it will run into some cold air. we'll see change over from rain over to snow. so here we go. overnight, pockets of heavy rain moving in, this is 3:00 a.m. so watch out, into early tomorrow morning, but by 7:00, looking much better, so the ride into work should improve through the morning hours. some sunshine into monday

afternoon, warms us up, just few clouds around, for tuesday, overall, not a bad day. and then here we go with wednesday. we start to see the rain pulling in from the south. mid to late morning. eventually, especially after sunset, we could see change over to snow as the colder air returns behind the storm systemment look at tomorrow's highs, into the low 70s for the inland spots, even into south jersey near the shore, very nice, into the 60s, if you like warm air. here are the records to beat tomorrow. check it out. seventy-three for wilmington, delaware, 71 in philadelphia, really all of these numbers are reachable for the day on monday. so, i think we will be talking about record highs tomorrow afternoon. now, let's talk about wednesday storm system. this is the gfs american model shows the track just off the coast. it is probably the likely scenario. and it throws in some snow, especially north and west of i-95 for wednesday. soap, mainly right now, looking at rain to snow event on wednesday, but temps -- potential more than 4 inches of snow, obviously going to slow down travel both on the roads and in the air on the

biggest travel day of the year. so here's what to expect at this point. it is possible we have berks county poconos staying mainly snow from the event. get to the northwest suburbs, city into south jersey, rain changing over to snow. then areas near the coast, into central delaware, mainly rain event. but again, the track and timing if that changes. that will obviously change the precipitation types and amounts. overnight, it is breezy, some rain develops, mild, though, 40's for low, 72 tomorrow, watch out for morning rain, improving conditions for the afternoon, extended forecast we go to 55 on tuesday, 40 for the high wednesday, with that rain and snow potential, thank giving, though, looks dry. it is cool. low 40's, look like we keep it dry into the weekends with temperatures still below average. but ladies, "black friday" shopping for you guys? pretty cold in the 30's. >> hey, okay, i can stay in and do some on line shopping. >> thank you. i have to comment on your turkey. every single time. because he dot a little shimmy and i love it. thank you, justin. speaking of turkeys if you think you eat a lot of turkey

on thanksgiving, imagine devouring an entire turkey? that's what joey chestnut did this weekend. during a eating contest, in connecticut. he put down more than nine points of meat, and ten minutes. oh, that sets a new record. oh, boy. that makes you look at turk any another whole way. >> oh, yes. crazy. >> i don't feel good. oh, boy. okay, anyway, much more pleasant news. eagles, yeah. >> eagles rebounds from last week's lost, in greenbay. and the special teams led the way in the crushing of the titans. highlights coming up next.

well, this had all of the making of a tracked game, seven and three eagles, hosting two and eight titans team with showdown against the cowboys coming up. but they did not fall in the trap and took care of the titans. special teams have been awesome this season. coming up, he's gone. this is longest kick off return for a touchdown in team his trip. the birds with a lead just 13 seconds into the game. later on, in the quarter, we have a hand-off to darren sproles. 8 yards, and the eagles snow two touchdown lead. second quarter titans get on the scoreboard.
