"eyewitness news", reporter jane carabao is here to explain. >> reporter: good morning, now comes the tricky task of placing, a 129 turkies, into the oven here, that is the number that we got, these ovens right around 130, a at within point they got up to 135 here, one year they have been loading them for about, at last 15 minutes or so. you can see sam, the owner here ever so carefully. look at how long that paddle is. that oven goes way back in there. puts them in, pulls them out. >> wait, don't put that one in there. >> yes, nicole would be are upset. >> you are supposed to be taking care of her hat. >> she would be really upset, we almost threw the trusty cbs-3 turkey hat in there. come on guys you have been in operation six decades you know better than that. i have been doing a story about tradition i have to put our tradition on our head as well. they have been working hard all day long, take a look at

this side of the kitchen as well, 129 turkies, going in right now. they opened up the doors at cacia's bakery a at 5:30. they usually don't open up until 6:00. there were so many people outside that they started earlier, and then they one by one tagged these turkies. and up to 129, and they told everybody to come back around noon, and, at 1:00 o'clock, depending on how big their bird was, $18 it is all it cost to get this bird in here and have a great thanksgiving. really great story, this is a family business, and, operation, and, they have been doing these turkies for 54 years. a a lot of fun this morning. are busy now, again it is like clockwork in here. one turkey goes in, paddle goes out and we will do this 129 times, and i know you guys have been itching to see this hat on all morning long. i figured/would throw this on as well one more time, for you. we have a lot of fun, and,

troops holding a line in ferguson, miss yuri it is calmer here then it has been in the last couple of days. tense but calmer in the aftermath of rioting a after monday night's announcement that grand jury found no probable cause to indict a police officer on criminal charges in the shooting of an unarmed teenager. after all of the damage done to ferguson, business owners asked why the national guard and some 500 police officers weren't able to protect their stores. >> officers were overwhelmed by the passion of the people who were out in ferguson, but also the tremendous amount of gunfire that forced them retreat. >> reporter: earlier police arrested three people after a group of demonstrators stormed st. louis and, spread overseas >> no justice, no piece. >> a group of people in london england joined in familiar demonstrations raising their hand in the air.

then took the victim's body, and disposed of it on his property. >> we're being told that investigators continued to look into a sexual mote any of this case. graf could face the death penalty if evidence shows padgett was a all thed. family tragedy claims another life in new jersey. the last remaining victim of the murder suicide in tabernacle died wednesday at cooper university hospital. investigators say 11 year-old alexander harriman and two siblings were murdered by their hot mother, 44 year-old jeaninne lepage before she shot and killed herself inside of their home on the 20th of november. a time is now 8:10. katie says they are in for a more quiet chillier weather pattern, her holiday forecast when we come back. more trouble for comedian bill cosby why he is cutting a deal with the major super market tabloid, plus this. some say thanksgiving is the new cyber monday for deals, i'm jill wagner in new

that has fallen here at the ski resorts. those resorts are absolutely loving. this it is what they look forward to and what they need so business can be up and operational. we have the snow maker right there, mother nature can hook it up, sometimes, right. lets take a look at where we stood with the bulk of the storm system. what we're finding out there right now as i'll explain in a second is just left overs. mount pocono pick up eight. new tripoli was over half a foot. ewing more like an inch and total continue to drop off, the further south and east we will go, because we saw more rain then anything. have been was affected by this, but brunt of it now making full retreat pulling off to the north and east at this point. we have a break in the cloud cover in between but we have that wrap around not just moisture but wrap around instability. so cold air aloft, and the wind flow, a variety of reasons meaning that we still even at this hour as we showed you in the live shot, have a little bit of light snow falling across northeastern, most pennsylvania. and otherwise it is mainly

good morning, everyone i'm ukee washington. we are five minutes away from a tradition like no other, nation's oldest parade enters its 95th year. "eyewitness news" live in center city where floats and sky-high balloons are ready to go. thousands of spectators have lined the parade route down jfk boulevard and on to the ben franklin parkway to check it all out and it starts in just a few minutes at 8:30. lets get your forecast for the parade and your thanksgiving day, here's katie. >> overall it is looking like we will have have cloud cover overhead that will limit the amount of warming that can take place and fact that we did have a a storm system that brought in colder air. when we look at storm scan three you will notice on the top center portion of the screen is that there is another little round of light snow, currently falling in the

poconos. this is good stuff for ski resorts but traveling up toward i80, wait out the worst of the storms, keep that in mind. temperatures, climbing, and only in the 40's here. i a chilly thanksgiving holiday for us but again pretty quiet considering what we were dealt yesterday. by friday, hey, it is looking bright and sunny for holiday shoppers, and, only in the 30's. we will have to bundle will up hitting the outdoor outlet malls. if we look ahead, to saturday, another system that brings in nothing more than just clouds, and we are looking good if here for a few days. man mainly cloudy skies but 40 degrees at best for the high. you have to have the heavy coat ready if you hitting the parade. 29 degrees for nighttime load and few clouds as clouds and skies clear out readily. over next seven days in the forecast, quiet through sunday, even milder by then. our next shot for a shower comes along by monday. ukee, back over to you. lets do it at 8:55. up next this morning a sneak peak of the thanksgiving day parade present new york.

decades now, over half century. >> pretty close, yes. >> we're getting there. >> forty plus years we have been doing turkies, over business over 60. yes that speaks volumes that people keep coming back and back. so successful because, maybe because of the brick ovens. we cook on the hot brick. it is heating up real nice and hot. we will get the cold turkey there and overtime, the two even out and they will go. instead of having that constant heat and turkey all the time. it comes nice and juice think way. >> why is this brick oven so special. it is one of the only ones in philadelphia. >> yeah is there only a couple left, here because they don't make them anymore, and ours was built in 1944, and we took over here in 53, and it a has no moving parts on it. so it is hard, for it to break. >> right, i think that was

pretty special. we have your entire family whipping around, doing stuff all morning long, this is your downtime right. >> yes. >> you know, tagging them and getting them in the oven and all that, it is kind of stressful environment. >> you have been handling it well. >> once we get through that then it gets easier until it is time to take the foil off the top and brown them. >> when will it get crazy. >> we take off tin foil around 10:30 or 11:00. we start checking to see if the smaller ones are done. that is next time. >> next time that work comes for you guys. >> yes. >> people start coming back later. >> 12:30 they come. a board a board in the store. they look for their number. if their number is up there they come around the site and get their turkey. >> reporter: when i think about thanksgiving it is all about eating, family and resting. will you rest today. >> when i think about thanksgiving i think about turkies, and stress and

our ski resorts located you are still seeing light stuff coming down to help out the business. meanwhile, if you are perhaps traveling the extension, 476 here up towards i80, portions of 81, you know, generally scranton wilkes barre area you will find some of this snow falling right now but it is falling very lightly. i don't think it will mess with your plans as you travel out and about. we will take a live look at ben franklin bridge there off in the distance from our station headquarters here and through those current conditions, on top, and 37 degrees is our current temperature at the airport and we do still have the clouds as we mentioned but generally any of that precipitation is basically out of here for everybody else. 34 degrees is the current temperature from allentown, red willing, to trenton, a wider zoom of the regional zoom shows that it is cold every where. we're not the only once. so if you waited it out to do the traveling here today and waited out that storm, there may still be some minor issues, with some freezing up on the roadways, especially if they weren't treated and especially if you had some snow accumulation but with
