let's go the david and karen. good morning. >> let's get you to the big board. we have storm tracker 6 live double scan showing you a cluster of showers and thunderstorms that is pushing into southern chester county right around oxford and this is pushing more or less up towards the northeast. if you're in reading you're very close to seeing the first of some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or steadier downpour later on and the one thing i'll point out about these is that they're moving toward the northeast very, very slowly so if you get caught beneath some of this downpour activity it's going to be with you for awhile. rest of the region not so bad. a couple of little pop-ups here or there in south jersey but there's a chance that some of this stuff swings through philadelphia later on in fact i'm now detecting a little bit on the eastern shore of maryland beginning to pop along the southern tier of that line. as we look at the wide view on satellite and radar looks like clouds may occasionally give way to some sunny breaks today but it's going to be humid and unsettled and all day long we'll be on the lookout for pop-up showers or maybe a thunderstorm. 67 degrees in allentown, 72 in wilmington, 72 in millville. muggy everywhere as you step

that extended construction. instead of from the vine to girard it's now all the way to allegheny, an extra mile and a half that you'll be dealing with. it may look a little different as you're traveling northbound in that area but you still have three lanes opened. let's look at the big picture. overall speeds on i-95 and the schuylkill mostly in the 50's. phils play tonight at 7:05. might want to take those exports express trains starting at 6:08. they'll help you out, tam. >> thank you karen. philadelphia police are on the scene of a home invasion and robbery in the city's olney section. two suspects are wanted for tying a woman up and ransacking her seconds floor apartment. we have a live crew gathering new information at the scene right now and we will bring you a full update in our next half hour. and also new this morning, a new jersey humane society has filed charges against two young boys for the disturbing death of a pet. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center and she's got more on the story. good morning, erinism good morning, tam. this story does involve the death of a beloved pet and
5:33 am
perhaps the most shocking part of this violent crime is that the two boys charged with killing this lop eared rabbit are both under the age of 10. now the burlington county humane police say back on may 21st the bunny's hutch was damaged and the pet was missing. authorities say the boys mutilated the rabbit and then discarded its body in a nearby creek near the mobile estate section of southampton township, new jersey. now this kind of rabbit is easily recognizable by its long floppy ears. they are gentle and make great pets. police are trying to figure out exactly why these young boys would carry out such a hideous crime. >> just believe it was possibly a random act, possibly retaliation. that is still under investigation right now. >> reporter: now the new jersey state police are also investigating this crime. the two boys' names are not being released because of their young age. a tentative court date is set for june 24th.

tam. >> all right, thank you, erin. i'll take it from here. firefighters battled a raging fire on a shuttle bus at philadelphia international airport. flames shot up from the front of the bus and quickly engulfed the entire vehicle. only the driver was on board at the time and was able to get out. witnesses near terminal e where it happened could not believe what they were seeing. >> it was just blazing away. it was actually just the cabin, the front end at first and then obviously it escalated into, you know, what appears to be a bonfire. >> all arrival roadways around terminal e were temporarily shut down while fire crews extinguished the flames. authorities do not know what caused the fire but do not suspect anything criminal. >> happening today in delaware, officials will hold a briefing on the measures taken to repair the i-495 bridge in wilmington. deldot has already noticed some of the tilted columns are starting to return back to their original alignment after a dirt pile below the span was

practice front on the water front. that site should be ready by 2016 if the team breaks ground this fall. the sixers of course though would still play their games at the wells fargo center in south philadelphia. >> turn now to david and talk about the storms on their way. they getting stronger? >> yeah, some of them look pretty good out there right now. storm tracker 6 live double scan, they're all out to the west at this point. there's another cluster off the coast but that's moving away from us. as we go in closer you can see the western suburbs are starting to see the showers and the thunderstorms, chester county in particular getting hit with this as is the western half of berks county. i'll start in chester county. that's a pretty decent thunderstorm with heavy downpours. as i start this in motion, it's just taking forever to pass any given area. this is only moving at about 10 miles per hour, maybe 15 so you get caught under this heavy stuff right now in southern chester county and it's liable to be there for awhile in areas south of oxford and including oxford heading up towards chatham and

kale and mushroom country about to get some of that. there you see coatesville picking up some of this. not as much thunder in the northern tier. that's still heavy rain. the farther north we go once that movement gets out of the way and we can go ahead and show you that reading is also starting to pick up some of the light stuff. looks like the airport is just about half covered and all of this is on the way. if you are over toward philadelphia it is possible that some of this circulates in from the west and i'll leave you with that wide view. not a whole lot else happening. a couple real small clusters in south jersey that might grow into something more and of course we'll show it to you live as soon as it happens. as we take a look outside we have cloudy skies, muggy conditions down the shore and elsewhere across the region. of course it won't wind up quite as warm down by the shore. it will be a warm day. just one lone soul there maybe fishing on the beach. 70 degrees right now as you step outside in philadelphia. your dewpoint really high getting up close to 70 degrees. once you past 70 on this
