good afternoon, rick will be along later. in the news this noon, an investigation is underway after a woman was tied up and robbed inside of her philadelphia home overnight. and a delaware teacher is in trouble with police after a search of his vehicle. but the big story on "action news" this noon is another day of unsettled skies, heavy rain fell in parts of our region this morning and there is more of that to come. the action cam was at the wissahickon river today. sky 6 hd shows a dreary day down at the shore and it's humid making conditions uncomfortable. stormtracker 6 live double scan is tracking the storms and meteorologist, david murphy, is at the big board with more from accuweather. >> we have another cluster of showers near baltimore pushing north of baltimore and up i-95,

and those of you near newcastle delaware and dover, may want to keep an eye on that, it's slow moving but it's an hour, hour and a half down the pike. we are watching smaller cells popping and pulling away, and this is a good one in red. these are slow movers, if one does get on top of you, it could be a couple of miles down the road and are you stuck beneath something as it takes forever to get by you, we are cooking up the atmosphere, there is a fair amount of cloud cover in much of the region, satellite shows holes in the clouds, a little bit of sunshine could turn the atmosphere over a bit and get it more unsettled and pop the showers and thunderstorms we may begin to see pop up now in parts of the region, especially in south jersey. i can see some stuff like this developing before much longer.

future tracker 6 shows us as we go through the afternoon, the unsettled air mass shows what we saw yesterday. future tracker by 2:30 and 3:00 as some of this around the region and more of the same at 6:00, but it could be anywhere, you could see the heavy downpours develop. we'll see that stuff knock off later in the evening. 80 in millville, this is the other part of the story, once again it's very warm, 81 in philadelphia, 80 in wilmington and low 70s down by the shore. the dew points for the second straight day are going uppity up up. any time you get over 60 to 65 dew point, it's humid. this is raw humidity out there. if we get a dew point up over 70 we call that oppressive

child in king of prussia this after none, authorities were called to motel 6 just before 8:30 this morning for an unresponsive child, the death does not appear to be suspicious. delaware county officials say he shot his his wife and then turned the gun on himself. the man in his 60s was pronounced dead on the scene and has not been identified. the woman is in the hospital in critical condition and an voestgation is now underway into the motive. the search continues for the suspect that bound and robbed a woman after a home invasion in olney this morning. it happened in an apartment on the 1300 block of west olney avenue, the 68-year-old owner of

the rest ran was sleeping when the men broke in. the two male suspects took cash and a weapon and the woman's i.d., she suffered minor injuries. traffic is back to normal outside of philadelphia international airport after this fire on a shuttle shut down the surrounding roads, the fire erupts around terminal e around 4:40, it was identified as a park and jet shuttle, arrival roads wfr briefly closed off until the fire was brought under control and the shuttle driver was able to escape the flames safely. the cause of the fire is now never investigation. a delaware high school teacher is arresting ed on drug charges. he was taken into custody at seifert high school.

a drug sniffing dog turned up marijuana in his war. the philadelphia 76ers are another step closer to moving their practice facility across the delaware river, a meeting was held on the proposal to build the facility on the waterfront. vernon odom is live in camden now with the outcome of all of this. >> reporter: by all accounts it's a done deal, the philadelphia 76ers will do most of their business here in camden, new jersey, except play their home games. the new jersey is throwing a lot of money the sixer's way. they picked their pocket luring the sixers to camden with huge tax breaks. they will build a practice facility on the waterfront and their new home office. they are try to keep the sixers

facility in new jersey but the deal is hard to refuse. tax breaks for the sixers over the next ten years. >> they are looking to spend $82 million on the project, it consists of state of the art training and practice facilities as well as the headquarters of team. and they expect to get a tax break after sub tracking the cost of the incentives. >> the mayor of camden says it's a boost for her city. for years the sixers practiced and rented office space at philadelphia's college of osteo medicine. the sixers games will remain at the wells fargo center in south philadelphia. >> reporter: that corporate move by the sixers expected to be

five american troops are killed in southern afghanistan, in what appears to have been friendly fire, that is according to a u.s. defense official.

an afghan official says it's an air strike, it's one of the worst friendly fire incidents involving u.s. and coalition troops sin the start of the nearly 14 year long war. the man accused of a shooting rampage at a seattle university. is expected to be charged today. aaron ybarra is accused of killing a studenting and wounding two others. he has a long history of menal problems and is being held without bail and is on suicide watch. donald sterling says the deal is off. the attorney for the los angeles clippers owner says he pulled the support for the team's sale and plans on suing the nba. his estranged wife shelly agreed to hand over the team to microsoft ceo steve ballmer for $2 billion.

an update now on the breaking news out of portland, oregon, we told you earlier that there was an active shooter at reynolds high school, we learned that the shooter is dead and we don't know how that person was killed. we don't know if there are injuries to students or staff inside of the school, this all unfolded at 11:15 philadelphia time, at this moment, students are still being escorted out in groups by police as police go through the building now. the shooter is dead at reynolds high school in portland, oregon. we'll keep an eye on this and bring you the latest on air and online at 6abc.com. meteorologist david murphy here now keeping an in on the storms moving through. >> stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you there is another cluster of them down to the south and west of us pushing in

towards our area, what we are watching in the more immediate situation right now is some smaller cells that have opened up and some by medford lakes and chad ford, watch how these things try to move but don't move all that much, if you get caught underneath the heavier cell, that is blossoming down near smyrna, delaware, and it doesn't get past you fast. just to the sound and east of smyrna they are under this one, not a big cell, people to the north and south are not seeing anything. that sort of thing has the potential of producing ponds and puddling on the roads. if we go to the south and west, you do have the cluster of showers coming up from the south and we see thunderstorms developing south of annapolis, maryland, that is where the action is now, a bit of stuff in

south jersey and philadelphia and delaware. the action cam shows a prettiy cloudy start to the day and the action cam was in valley forge, pennsylvania, humid this morning but not all that hot yet. the intrepid joggers made the move, 81 currently in philadelphia, your dew point is 59 and close to 70, when you get close to 70 we are talking oppressive humidity, it's light at 3 miles per hour, with a wind from the northeast. the warm air is pushing up from the snornl and for now we are in the low 70s. in reading and allentown low 70s and at the shore. satellite and radar showing you sunshine breaking out to the south and west and that is not necessarily good for us, as the sun gets into the warm humid air mass, it turns the atmosphere over and gets things unsettled it can lead to thunderstorms

from the south. the 12:00 view is overselling precip to the north and east. as we get into 3:00 this is what we look at. it's not raining anywhere but in some cases heavy downpours and we see a little bit of that. thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon. like yesterday we see this winds down in the evening hours. allentown a sticky high of 82, and clouds mixing with sun and the thunderstorm chance is out there, and we are also looking at 66 in the water off atlantic city, and the high on the beach probably around 76 and most beach communities and a possible storm, and take cover if you hear thunder, don't stay on the beach. your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, a high of 83 in the afternoon and warm and humid in philadelphia and the possibility of a downpour exists for the rest of afternoon and evening in at least some spots. 79 tomorrow and not as much rain, just a slight chance of a
