torrential rain falling down with the super summer like soupy atmosphere. they are very localized and a flash flood warning is issued for the southern part of the center city near the airport and the sports complex and it includes interior southern new jersey for gloucester and camden county, we are seeing inches of rainfall in a short amount of time, we look at double scan live, we can see that particular downpour at the airport, 90 and the city of camden and brooklawn and as far south as gibbs bro, it doesn't have wind to push it on its way, it's stuck over packer avenue and the airport and until it rained itself out, it's going to pour for the next 15 minutes for the next hour and as high as 3 inches of rain per

hour, we'll continue to monitor in downpour, it's not a thunderstorm, we'll have another update in the full accuweather forecast. now the details to a story still developing tonight in a suburb of portland, oregon. a student walked in and murdered a student and wound aid teacher, students were hunkered down in their classrooms until s.w.a.t. teams escorted them out with their hands out. these are parents waiting to reunite with their children. >> reporter: good evening, well it has happened again, so many shocked students telling abc news today they couldn't believe this was actually real and not just another drill. >> fear and panic at an oregon high school as a gunman opened fire, shooting and killing one

student. this is a very tragic day. one that i had hoped would never ever be part of my experience. >> it was shortly after 8:00 a.m. when police responded to reports of shots fired at reynolds high school outside of portland. a lone gunman on the loose, students huddled in the gym as the shots rang out. >> we hid in the room and everybody was like be quiet there is a shooter. this is not a drill. officials from multiple agencies raced to the scene and the school was locked down, students were led out of harm's way with their hands over their heads as anxious parents rushed to find their children. >> it's scary, all can you do is think about are they going to be safe and what kind of danger they are going to be in. the shooter is confirmed dead and the situation stabilized.

wrong spot. we are learning more tonight about the hours leading up to the prisoner exchange that freed sergeant bowe bergdahl, the obama administration only finalized the release of five detainees one day before the swap and that special forces did not know where they would pick up bergdahl until an hour beforehand. they are criticizing the president for not notifying congress 30 days before the deal which is a law. and the taliban attacked the busiest airport in pakistan, the attackers escaped into some slums at the airport. and they threatened to keep up a tax on the government which is allied with the u.s. we'll have more coming up with the deadly school shootding and you can watch those

following "action news" at 6:00. it looks like the sixers will move their operation to the camden waterfront. the new jersey economic development authority approved an $82 million tax break, the team will take that money and build a 22,000 square foot space including a practice facility and team offices and it will bring hundreds of jobs to camden. vernon odom has more on the story in camden. >> the city of philadelphia has several counter offers, that camden was simply throwing a lot of money at the sixers. this parking lot on the river front, in october there will be a formal ground breaking for the sixer's new corp ofszs and for a state of the art training and practice facility. >> this parking lot will soon be redeveloped into a mammoth practice facility and a new home for their front offices.

d. adam joseph is back with us. with respect to the downpours falling from the sky, they are back thursday and friday, we look at double scan live now, most of the area it's cloudy and warm and pops of sun here and there, and pops of downpours meaning business in populated areas, especially center city and philadelphia, we look at the heart of center city near tenth

and fairmount avenue, and seeing no lightning with them but lots of rain, and in is ponding and flooded roadways, that is near darby and east baltimore avenue, it jumps over the river into camden and cherry hill and morristown and this area near palmyra is filling in with reds and lightning strikes there and this is one downpour centered around center city, it is creating downpours in philadelphia county near the airport, that is clearing out as well. and citizens bank park, and that is salem to gloucester to camden county and that is being to

subside. if we go towards gloucester county a picture from heather. this water is almost bumper deep in that parking lot there. you never want to drive into flooded roadways or even flooded parking lots, your car could stall and you could get into trouble. the temperatures are rain cooled in philadelphia and millville, 72 to 73 degrees, it's muggy and where we haven't seen the rain, temperatures are near 80 degree s, satd light and radar popping over the mid atlantic and the low pressure center over the great lakes and that sends more southerly winds in here for the week. it's an easterly wind stabilizing the atmosphere as it's action stays to the west and more pop-ups are likely and
