murphy for accuweather, matt pellman is looking at traffic, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, guys, philadelphia has a couple of showers and the suburbs are looking at steady batches of rain and there's steady rain clipping eastern half of south jersey. then we get a lull after the stuff pushes in later on. we'll advance this for you. we're looking at a fairly mild morning. temperatures, 71 in philadelphia. 71 in wilmington, and well, looks like the upper 60s up in allentown. as we take a look at conditions as you head out the door this morning, perhaps to catch the school bus. 69 degrees by 6:00 a.m. 8:00 a.m., 70 and there will be drizzle and showers around as you just saw on radar. 71 3w50eu7 9:00 a.m. -- by 9:00 a.m., 78 by noon, there will be a lull in the action midday there will be light stuff

and light showers around noon. 83 is the high around 3:00 p.m. there will be the chance of redevelopment of showers and thunderstorms straight into the evening. it won't be raining everywhere all at once. matt there can be a couple of gusty thunderstorms i'll talk about this in a second and have the weekend call which is a lot better. >> reporter: that all-important weekend, father's day, in fact. we're watching heavy rain along 309 in ambler, along susquehanna road. what you might not see is a downed tree or branch of a tree blocking the right lane. police are on the scene. as you can north of the pennsylvania turnpike stay to your left on 309. southbound approaching the lehigh valley interchange there's a crash taking out the left lane. had an earlier wreck on the eastbound turnpike near bensalem that's gone. no overnight construction on the turnpike because of the rain.

in lower moreland watch out for a crash on huntington pike. so far being wet along the schuylkill expressway ascertain i-95 and the boulevard no delays to speak of. in pleasantville watch out for an overnight house fire on doughty road. you may be better on new road. >> we have breaking news from pleasantville atlantic county. a house fire that claimed the life of one person and left a firefighter injured. the action cam is live on the scene. this is the 400 block of doughty road. flames broke out at 3:15. the crews got control, but found the victim inside the house stay with us with "action news," of course you're looking at the ambulance that took the firefighter to the hospital. we've got an eye on this and we'll bring you any updates. the search is on for the theives who pulled off a brazen robbery outside a northeast

philadelphia gun range one person was shot and it turns out this duo may have struck before. katherine scott is outside police headquarters with more. >> reporter: good morning, tam, police are looking for one man and one woman connected to the case. they said they had two guns going into the robbery and after the robbery they have at least 9 gubs. we guns. this happened last evening in northeast philadelphia on the 100 block of geiger. it happened around 8:30, two men were leaving a gun shot and range after an evening of shooting they were ages 67 and 68. they left the delaware valley sports center. they were proasmed -- approached by one man and one woman they were armed and demanded cash and cell phones and guns. they stole 7 gunnels revolvers and automatic weapons.

before they took off they shot the 67-year-old man in the groin. police say they are driving a newer model car with tinted windows. >> there's a possibility that we had a similar robbery outside a gunshot downtown in center city. however, that's preliminary information. we'll determine if these are the same perpetrators. >> reporter: that other robbery would have been from wednesday evening on north percy street in spring garden. police are looking into whether these connected. you can see the surveillance video a man and woman robbed a customer when he walked to the car. the vehicle in the robbery had tinted windows. if you have any tips call the police. we're live at police headquarters, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> we're following breaking news, as well. sergeant bowe bergdahl has returned to the united states

after spending five years as captive of the taliban. the pentagon said he left germany on board a u.s. aircraft and arrived in san antonio texas morning. he was changed for the purpose of the release of five taliban captives at guantanamo bay. bergdahl's return comes amid a public uproar over the circumstances of his capture and release. a teacher is behind bars facing molestation charges. he taught piano at the malvern school of music. an investigation revealed two other 6-year-olds a boy and girl said he had been touching children inappropriately.

still wet. i do want to get you off to the north because that's where some of the heavier showers are still occurring. you can see that big batch push into northern montgomery county into green lane and in the vicinity of pottstown. looks like allentown will take on that for another hour. and there's light scattered stuff coming into south jersey. at least the heart of south jersey, there's a thunderstorm off the coast of atlantic city, as i start this up, obviously we have that movement from the south, as well. if down along the beach, unfortunately you're looking at a wet morning as this thing still has to get past you. looks like it will clip sea isle city atlantic city will get a little thunderstorm which in the last minute produced one lightening strike. as we look outside we have damp and cloudy conditions across the region. philadelphia looking cloudy as we try to spot the ben franklin

bridge in the low-lying cloud cover it's hard to do. 71 in philadelphia. 71 in wilmington. 69 in allentown, 68 in sea isle city. of course it's on the humid side, but those numbers to the that bad. as we look at future tracker 6 yes it's a wet start. as we get into the midday, things die down a little bit and we have light scattered showers. we get into the afternoon and the cold front comes in from the west and we fire up a new round of showers and perhaps thunderstorms. this will continue into the early evening and die down later tonight. a little bit wet out there not raining all the time. one more wet one to deal with tonight. showers and thunderstorms later on and some of the storms could be gusty late in the day and early evening. up in allentown we're going for a high of 78, lots of clouds and thunderstorms can't be ruled out. if you're down the shore not a
