>> reporter: as we look at storm tracker 6 live hd double scan we have nice images of not so nice weather. we have heavy showers pushing toward allentown and some in montgomery. parts of philadelphia is seeing this. it looks like the cluster of rain off the coast of atlantic city is scooting by the coast. the wide view on satellite shows you we'll get into a lull in the action and maybe see sunny breaks later on this morning. later this afternoon more showers and thunderstorms will build in from the west with an approaching cold front. 73 degrees and damp. 68 and muggy in allentown and 69 in sea isle city. 71 by 9:00 a.m. 78 by noon, around the later morning hours and lunchtime. not a whole lot going on precip wise. and then we get into the afternoon a enwe'll look out for showers and thunderstorms buildings in from the west. high is 83 at 3:00 p.m.

morning for the theives who pulled off quite the brazen robbery outside a northeast philadelphia gun range. before the heist was over, one person was shot and critically injured. "action news" reporter, katherine scott is live outside police headquarters. she's got more. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, police are looking for one man and one woman in connection with this case. they had two guns going into the robbery and now police say they have at least nine guns in their possession. we know they are willing to shoot. one man is in the hospital in critical condition. this happened in northeast philadelphia outside a gun shop and range on the 100 block of geiger was around 8:30, two men ages 67 and 68 were walking outside an evening. shooting outside the delaware valley shooting center. they were approached by a man and woman who demanded cash and

cell phones. before they took off they shot the 67-year-old man in the groin. they are driving a dark vehicle with tinted windows. this may not be the first robbery near a gunshot they are behind. >> there's a possibility we had a similar robbery outside a gun shop downtown in center city. however, that's preliminary information. of course detectives will coordinate with that investigation from last night to determine if in fact these were the same perpetrators. >> reporter: the robbery he was mentioning was from wednesday evening on north percy street in spring garden. you can see from the exclusive surveillance video a man and woman robbed a customer outside as he walked to his car. the vehicle from that shot there had tinted windows. police are looking to see if these two cases are connected call police if you have any

weather there. looks like the showers off the coast of south jersey will miss us largely. there's a little light stuff coming up through atlantic county right now. as we look outside we have cloudy skies maybe getting a little less of the missy foggy look we would an hour ago when it was a hard to see the ben franklin bridge. obviously low clouds and mist and showers around the region. 71 degrees and muggy in philadelphia. 68 in allentown, 69 in sea isle city and 71 in wilmington. the future tracker 6 view shows you once we get into morning rush hour there's a lull in the action. as we get into the afternoon, around 3:00, we'll look for a cold front coming in that will produce a new round of showers and thunderstorms. it won't be raining everywhere at once. but embedded in this gusty

roadway. we've heard many people have hit the pothole and you're dealing with flat tires saturday and dealing with speeds of 13 miles per hour. 422 not the best spot near the pottstown area. farther east on 422 we're not seeing the normal morning delay because everybody is stuck in pottstown. during the midday they will be working on trooper road southbound side by audubon road and 23. we're expecting work 252 blocking a lane. tonight they will close 401 by 202 for construction during the overnight hours into tomorrow morning use the interchangeses at 30 or 29 instead of the one at 401. the crash along 95 at 206

and range in northeast philadelphia. two menl ages 67 and 68 left the store after an evening of shooting inside the delaware valley sports center. they were approached by a man and woman who demanded cell phones, cash and guns. they took seven guns. police say the pair is driving a newer model dark vehicle with tinted windows. >> these individuals are not only armed and dangerous, now they are heavily armed, because they stole an additional seven guns in addition to the two they used to commit the robbery. this is a heinous crime and we have heavily armed individuals that are willing to shoot. >> reporter: expltsdz may not be the first -- and this may not be the first robbery for the pair. police are investigating if they are behind a robbery on wednesday evening on north percy street in spring garden.

we've had a number of issues we have a crash i-95 they blocked the right lane, we're seeing slowing come south because that left lane is getting by. the one vehicle involved facing the wrong way ran into the barrier over there, so they have to get the vehicle turned ascertain and towed away. you're seeing delays before you get to the point southbound at the vine delays through the work zone and cottman and bridge on into girard avenue speeds in the teens. dropping into the teens on the schuylkill expressway westbound by city avenue. 18 miles per hour at the moment. on the pennsylvania turnpike getting word of a broken down vehicle westbound side past the bensalem interchange that doesn't appear to be affecting speeds just yet. almost up to 60 miles per hour. not a big headache there. but a headache in the pottstown

area 422 eastbound we have a pothole giving us flat tires and speeds 16 miles per hour traveling east on 422. at this point i would avoid this stretch of 422 stay on high street or use 724 as another alternate. newark we have a crash blocking pleasant valley road north of 40, pulaski highway. you want to avoid that, as well stay with us on 896 college avenue. >> a frightening story on "action news." this new jersey mother returned home torched a burglar armed with a knife hiding under her son's bed. it happened in beggar gone county yesterday. the child was not sleeping in the room at the time. the burglar who was homeless entered the home through an unlocked window. they responded quickly and made an arrest. nobody was hurt. >> happening today, hillary clinton will be in center city to sign copies of her new book. the former secretary of state
