continues riding to school. >> she got to school safely and told a teacher what happened. on june 12th state road and shadeland in drexil hill a man matching the same description pulled up to a 12-year-old girl and asked if she needed a ride. the child noticed the same vehicle circling the neighbourhood as they ran home to safety. >> right now we are looking at suspicious condition or a suspicious person. >>reporter:they are reminding the parents to talk about stranger danger. >> it scares me. that is why i still drive my daughter to school. she is a six grader. i will not letter take the bus. >> the school is good about teaching the kids too. >> you have to worry all the time. >> all the time.

we have breaking news to pass along. chopper 6 is on the scene. a 13-year-old boy is shot several times by the police. this is 20th and mountain streets in south philadelphia. it happened about 45 minutes ago we are told. the young victim ran several blocks after being shot to the 2200 block of southam burger street. he's receiving treatment. we are told that the suspected shooter is hold up in a house near the original shooting scene. the police are here. an "action news" crew is headed to scene as well. we'll bring updates as we get them in the next half-hour. a 13-year-old child is shot in south philadelphia. the police are looking for a suspect tonight. time for the accuweather forecast. and going to meteorologist,
