good afternoon, in the news this noon, a big cleanup is underway at a montgomery county home. >> and a greetding to the men and women in the military. but the big story is the heat, haze and humidity taking hold of the delaware and lehigh valley. if you like it hot you'll love today. as we head outside to the sky 6 hd, looking at the center city skyline, temperatures will soar past 90 degrees for the first time this year. you need to stay hydrated if have any outdoor plans this afternoon. karen rogers is in for david murphy, with details on the hot accuweather. >> we have the heat and humidity and concerns with air quality. today is an ozone action day, that is not good for sensitive groups like the young and elderly avoid being out in the

"action news" reporter katherine scott joins us live from the scene with more on the investigation. >> reporter: sara we are not releasing the name of the man who died since his family is still being notified. two women were taken to the hospital, one of them remains in the hospital, she is in critical condition at crozier medical center, more than 13 hours after this fire began, crews remain at work here, they were using robotic cameras here and they brought in heavy equipment and continued to look for evidence to determine how this fatal fire began. >> the flame was orange, i mean dark orange. you can see fierce flames in this video tearing through this wilmington home last night, it

ambulance collided in chinatown, the crash happened at 2:30 a.m. at vine and north 38th street, the life star ambulance t boned the taxi cab and the cab driverer and a passenger were hurt and witnesses say that a malfunctioning traffic light could be to blame and it was reportedly showing both red and green lights. chopper 6 hd was over the scene of a crash that killed a pedestrian at 56th and woodland avenue, police tell "action news" that a 78-year-old man was struck by the car when he tried to cross the intersection. we learned that he tripped and fell into the on coming traffic. the driver did stop after the accident. >> developing news this noon now, from hatboro county, an extensive cleanup effort is underway thereafter a toxic

degreeses, the pressure 35.05 inches. the dew point is way up from yesterday. once you hit 60, it feels sticky and we are seeing that, in the lehigh valley mid-80s and 89 in millville and atlantic city airport 89 degrees and sitting on the beach it's cooler with the sea breeze helping you out. feels like 90 already with the heat indetermine. it feels like we hit 90 and 94 is what it feeled like in millville. 95 is the heat index in dover these are the hottest temperatures and the hottest heat indexes we have seen. lets check out the forecast, we see satellite 6 along with action radar showing us clear skies and bright sunshine than helps to warm things up particularly. a cluster of storms move through the midwest and a live look at this severe weather outbreak that we talked about in nebraska.

that is pushing up past michigan into canada at this point. over the next couple of days for us, we are looking at the jet stream up to the north and hazy hot and humid conditions, not just today but tomorrow as well. as we head out for the afternoon commute, it's hot and humid and by 7:00 p.m., it's 84 degrees, even at 7:00 p.m., it's warm and muggy and the heat is being turned up from there. a temperature of 74 degrees, with the ocean, sitting on the beach, feeling like 81. we watch the temperatures and sea breeze cooling off a bit. you see it's already feeling like 90 degrees in atlantic city. a front pulls through and gives us the chant foresevere weather, a slight risk through the entire region and winds are over 15 miles per hour, and that is the greatest concern with the heat and humidity.
