they found a man dead inside. chad pradelli is live at the scene now where investigators are trying to figure out what happened there. >> yes, the cleanup out here continues as well. you can see crews on scene, that is what is left of this home, basically rubble. they are trying to get this out of here and they just erected the fence and the investigation continues t. talking to eyewitnesss, and accord togs one of the women that survived the blaze, this fire was no accidents. >> as the fire raged in the background in the 100 block of bird street franticly -- >> our building physically shook, two women escaped the flames, one is fran seen wallace, the woman has burns over 80% of her boy body.

in tiny pillger, nebraska, most of that town was wiped away when two tornadoes ripped through. it's through tears of the loss of a 5-year-old child. marcy gonzales is live with more now. >> reporter: a town torn apart. >> it's crazy that mother nature can do something like this. >> nearly 75% of pillger, nebraska is gone. after two tornadoes ripped through this community yesterday, one of them nearly a mile wide. the town's nearly 400 residents evacuated and many returning to find little left, entire blocks flattened. each stop of the governor's tour held a story of those that barely made it to safety.

council for more funding. he is asking for $96 million on top of the $120 million that council recently approved. just to maintain the inadequate status quo, without the funding they will have to make more cuts and make tougher choices. >> do we open for a period of time and run until we run out of revenue, all of those things have questionses. >> the superintendant says it would save hundreds of teachers from losing their jobs and keep the classes from swelling to 40 or more and is asking council to allow them to borrow more than the 40 million already allowed. he is pleading with state lawmakers as well in harrisburg. tough choices ahead. wall street saw modest gains

this flat bed tow truck has been smoking. they have out here trying to put out the fire and penndot is on the scene and the two left lanes are squeezing by when they allow it to. the southbound traffic is heavy through route 3 and issues on the schuylkill, a crash by spring garden eastbound and a disabled vehicle, are now gone but heavy delays. and problems on 95, northbound by girard there is a disabled bus and the betsy ross bridge there was a crash but it cleared. bal ming oh road is closed and trinity road is closed in up upper -- lets grab the ipad and do the commuter report, an

we are mixing the air with the wind and drying out. the heat index is the same as the air temperature. we don't have the oppressive dangerous heat for our first 90 degree day, 91 in kennett square. good evening honker. 90 in warrington and 87 in martins creek. and vineland 1u9d and 91 in dover and along the shore, the beautiful sea breeze is back, typical in the summer months with temperatures there only in the 70s. south richmond, 93 and new york city 88 degrees, we have the core of the hottest air right along the mid-atlantic region and tomorrow the heat will peak and the heat advisory is put up for the i-95 corridor, where the heat index early afternoon will be in the upper 90s but again late tomorrow afternoon we should start to mix some drier

air in to drop the heat indexes. as we look at the north, the severe storms are in new york state. and tomorrow a slight risk is on the border of lancaster, reading and allentown. if there are severe storms most likely they will be to the west. its still something we still have to watch. tomorrow gusty thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening and they are scattered and windses over 58 miles per hour and the possibility of some small hail. as we look at the numbers tonight, it's a sultry sticky night and temperatures generally around 70 to 73 degrees, and that includes the shore locations and your four day at 4:00, hot breeze tomorrow, 94 degrees, and we'll watch for stray storms west of philadelphia. and then thursday, showers and thunderstorms everywhere at 87 as a cold front pushed through

a man in his 70s was struck and kill bid a car in southwest philadelphia. chopper 6 hd was over 68th and

56th at 5:00 this morning. the victim was crossing the street and medics watched him where he died a short time later. medic says he was 56 years old but have not told us his name. there are no charges yet in this case. a store owner was shotd in a robbery overnight. the victim was closing up just before 1:00 a.m., the suspects shot him twice on the street and then took what was in his pockets and his wife rushed him to the hospital. what's it like paying for internet

time now for the buzz. finally good news for comedian, tracy morgan, his condition is upgraded from kritdcal to fair. he is in the hospital for 10 days after an accident on the knowledge turnpike that killed his friend, and they say his personality is coming back. and speaking of recovery, harrison ford's broken ankle could keep him off the set of star war for at least six weeks. his son told media outlets that his father may need surgery.

time. at i broken down school bus taking out the right lane causing delays from 95 through tasker and girard. and by the way we have the new traffic pattern overnight like advertised. now the broken down bus is really contributing to things this afternoon. not far away we are watching a crash at aramingo and york, speeds on the schuylkill and 95 because of the disabled bus and a crash involving a bus in bala cynwyd near monument road. and a crash on the schuylkill expressway westbound side approaching the roosevelt boulevard, they are trying to get things taken care of but for the moment they have three westbound lanes block, just one lane is squeezing by heading away from montgomery heading towards the boulevard. it's a parking lot, approaching the vine on the westbound side
