investigators are still here on the scene voest gating this home invasion. they believe this family is targeted because they own businesses and rental properties. they held their son hostage demanding they give up the money. >> they put us down and asked us for the money. >> chris describes a harrowing ordeal after two men invaded their home at 2:00 this afternoon and they received a message from their son who was walking home from school. >> they had my son kidnapped and they called from the phone and said give them everything, i gave them everything, the money, the jewelry, my son was scared and he gave them everything we had and they took everything. >> he tied up his wife before the bandit took off with 30,000

feet in the fountain and in fact more than their feet and catching a little spray any way they could to stay cool. lets check in with meteorologist, cecily tynan for the facts and figures from accuweather. >> a lot of people are trying to find creative ways to stay cool. we had two days in the 90s, today's high 93 and that is 10 degrees above normal and that is 2 degrees shy of the record high in philadelphia. however atlantic city airport hit 95 degrees and that is a new record high and the old record is 93 set in 1962, lakehurst 3u9d and millville 94 and allentown 90 and wilmington 93 and reading's high 91 degrees. if you add the humidity, the heat index was higher south of philadelphia and dover it feels like 100 degrees and feels like u79d in millville and 97 in

the 66-year-old was back in court today, on charges he raped a female para legal back in 2013. today they dismissed the rape charges but he faces aggravated assault and indecent saultd and is currently free on bail. attorney general kathleen kane dropped the investigation saying it was tainted. but seth williams has a different point of view, he has selected a panel to look into charges. live in philadelphia is "action news" reporter david henry. >> reporter: well, as you know this case say political football bouncing back and form from the attorney general and the philadelphia district attorney. and now the d.a. is running with the ball and handing it off to a grand jury. >> i won't allow this case to just disappear.

there has to be accountability. >> published reports named the targets of the investigation and state representatives and former traffic court judge. sources close to the investigation confirm they are among those under investigation but the d.a. says it's not just limited to them. >> this investigation is much more expansive than what has been previously reported. >> the five that have been name ready accused of accepting gifts and cash from an undercover informant. and they have complied dozens of audio recordings and they are convincing enough to send to the grand jury for criminal charges think the investigation is going on since 2010, before kathleen kane was elected. she dropped the case shortly
