this noon, a man is shot inside of a home in montgomery county this morning. and new information about the accident that injured comedian, tracy morgan. >> but the big story on "action news" is another day of unsettled weather. the sky is filled with thick clouds on sky 6 hd. and accuweather is tracking more storms today. lets go to karen rogers with the latest from stormtracker 6 live double scan. >> we are looking at the conditions, 65 degrees is the dew point, feeling humid out there. we have a break in the heat but the temperature is 73 degrees in allentown and 83 in millville. but with stormtracker 6 live double scan we with show you the showers have started to move back in after the early morning heavy rain and storms we have had. now we see the showers, and with the live radar, we can tell you

it's getting wet in potds town and malvern and coatesville. and sprinkles in the area elsewhere. and more sustained showers north of philadelphia that is moving on in through the region. and we'll show you the radar and what it might look like this afternoon. showers and the potential for thunderstorms moving through the area. the key element we might need is sunshine to ignite those, as we pull in here with our double scan, i put it on our satellite view, we are really stuck in the clouds at this point. we'll see if we get the breaks and are able to ignite thunderstorms in the area. there is one portion of our region that is particular threat for thunderstorms, i'll explain where that it and talk about the weekend call the in a couple of minutes with the accuweather forecast. >> karen thank you. in the meantime, some homeowners are cleaning up from

rain and lightning that moved through the area this morning. katherine scott shows us some of the damage. >> reporter: we heard reports of lightning strikes causing fires in bucks and chester counties and that is what authorities believe could have been the case here in west depford. >> loud thunder woke up wayne clots in west depford. there is few signs from the outside of this home, but they believe it was lightning that struck the chimney and sparked a fire in the attic. >> it was so loud, like someone was firing off cannons twice in a second. >> the storms tore through the area and dumped torrential rain, can you see this near martin luther king boulevard at the amtrak station, lightning

streaksed across the sky. police were on the scene after this taxi got stuck in high water on lincoln avenue. the water had receded but the van stalled in the middle of the street. >> high winds and lightning on penn's landing, cars splashing near noble street. drivers out in this weather reported poor visibility and caused them to drop their speed. >> firefighters were called to this moment in warminster township. on the 200 block of summer ridge circle, the fire broke out when the storms were moving through at 2:00 a.m. flames tore through the attic. >> smoke showing through the roof area and it was an attic fire, there were no reported injuries. >> that storm came in quickly and by day break they were out of here but the damage remains. katherine scott, channel 6

"action news." >> remember you can stay ahead of stormy weather any time by downloading our free storm tracker app. now, to a developing story from montgomery county, police say that a 78-year-old man was shot in the head in upper moreland this morning. he was found in a home on the 2800 block of edge hill road at 10:00 a.m. medics rushed him to abington hospital, we are still working to find out his condition and the circumstances around this shooting. gun fire wounds two men in southwest philadelphia at 9:3 this morning, the double shooting on south simpson street left one man in critical condition and the other man was in stable condition. in chester county, the district attorney filed more charges against a former teacher at the malvern school of music.

he was accused of sexually abusing three 6-year-old students and now more students came forward to say he showed inappropriate photos of nude children. fuhrman remains in prison awaiting a preliminary hearing. the accident that injured comedian, tracy morgan, is attributed to speeding. the wal-mart truck they say was traveling 65 miles per hour on the new jersey turnpike where the speed limit was lowered to 40 miles per hour because of construction. morgan was critically injured and his friend was killed. the driver is charged with vehicular homicide. now laws could be changed for someone being found with a small amount of marijuana. it would create a civil penalty

for anyone carrying 30 gram orz less of marijuana. it requires a mandatory arrest and under the change, the police will confiscate the drugs, and get a fine. mayor nutter has said may veto the bill. a large crowd gathered to protest the sale of philadelphia gas works. former philadelphia mayor, john street was among the dozens of people participating in the morning protest, they are opposed to mayor nutter's $2 billion agreement to sell it to a corporation. critics say it will cause massive job loss and cause big rate increases. mayor nutter says it will create revenue. the sexual assault suspect

in northern liberties. ma books the man is seen here at club trilogy, in spring garden last month. a woman walked outside and accepted his offer for a ride home, she passed out and woke up while she was being attacked in the back seat of a car. she was then dropped off at home, and she went to the hospital. anybody that recognized the suspect is asked to call the police. fighter pilots are over iraq today, as militants continue their violent attacks against government forces. president obama will address the situation from the white house shortly. karen travers has more now. >> reporter: pilots are gathering intelligence and they are sending drones around the clock sending back real time images from baghdad to the pents

moment a twister touched down in south dakota. the tornado raised homes and businesses there, they say a timely warning helped people escape the panel of the storm. there are reports that two people were hurt and this is the third night in a row that tornadoes caused destruction in the midwest. two texas men are in custody this afternoon accused of supporting terrorists. witnesses captured these photos as the fbi and s.w.a.t. teams surrounded the home of kahn in austin. the second suspect michael todd wolf was arrested in houston as he tried to board a flight in europe and was going to make his way to syria to help radical groups and both men face up to 15 years in prison. an illinois family is taking action against a bully. they say their son suffered permanent injuries because of a

classmate. they have tried unsuccessfully to go to the school to intervene, and now they are suing the boy's family and the school for failing to provide adequate security for their son. a soldier that threw himself in front of afellow marine will receive the congressional medal of honor today. he lost his right eye in 2010, just the eighth living person to be chosen for the medal of honor. he will accept the award from president obama during a ceremony at a white house later on this afternoon.

we are looking live from chopper 6 right now in dover, delaware, where folks are gathering for the popular firefly music festival. you can tell it's a popular event every year, it takes place in a lush wooded landscape here in dover, next to the dover downs racetrack and music fans again converging here for a weekend of various musical acts. many folks are already there, and severe storms could pose a problem later today though. and this is the third year for the festival, the biggest such

hair night for everybody. it will be less humid. lets look at stormtracker 6 live double scan you can see we are not dealing with anything heavy but spotty showers here or there. kind of popping up through the region, can i go tighter on this with stormtracker 6 live double scan with our street view, more sustained showers north of the city along 309 and 422 in pottstown and 222 all wet roadways right now. lets head outside and show you what it looks like, lets go to cape may, and be careful. we anticipate miles per hours and maybe a thunderstorm or two. seagulls are flying by. 78 degrees, the temperature is way down from yesterday and much cooler, the dew point is dropping through the day and anything above 60s feels sticky. 64 feeling humid. winds out of the northeast at 9

and the pressure 30.02 inches. and we are socked in with the clouds. but some breaks, 81 in wildwood and 79 in dover. and feeling a little bit better in areas to the south. satellite 6 along with action radar showing how the storms from the early morning and overnight hours raced through here. and we are stuck wtd clouds and the showers are moving in. it's a bit sustained for a while. showers are out to the west, and the bulk of it will be areas to the north with the steadier showers, i can show you on future tracker, it looks like 4:00 in the evening, adam joseph and melissa magee on the air, heavier showers, this model suggesting other storms coming through. we'll see if we can see sunshine coming through, we are watching for the potential for that. look at what it does for the atmosphere, it just clear its out. the clouds and humidity and sets up for a better situation, the

reason we are watching the radar so closely is because of the severe threat, we are at slight risk in areas to the south in parts of cumberland and cape may county and much of delaware including the southeastern part of newcastle county. a threat for severe weather, showers and lots of clouds and a few thunderstorms, and still humid, tonight it's much more refreshing and cloudy skies in the accuweather forecast. today's high is 84 degrees, and less humid and 84, and spotty showers and it won't rain all day but some spotty showers and clouds holding the temperature down to 77 and partly sunny and nice and 80, on monday mostly sunny and 84 and tuesday 84 with a chance of a shower. and wednesday the sunshine stays behind the clouds and 83
