good afternoon. sarah bloomquist is off. in the news this noon, new details on the potential anthrax exposure at what should be one of the most security facilities in the world. how workers could have been exposed. no, this is not a gymnast or hollywood stuntman, just one very lucky biker. details on the video coming up. the big story on "action news at noon" a terrible accident having the atlantic city expressway shutdown for hours this morning. police stay a pick up truck was heading west when it flipped over between route 50 and the farley service plaza. five of the six were thrown from the vehicle including three riding in the bed of the truck. one of the passengers tossed from the cab did not survive. the rest of the injured rushed to cooper hospital in camden and that's where we find "action news" reporter katherine scott with the very latest. katherine? >> rick, police say it was just moments before word of the crash came in that they received a

report that there was a white pick up truck driving erratically on the atlantic city expressway. three people were air lifted here to cooper university hospital with serious head trauma. and you can see there is a vehicle from the new jersey state police atlantic city expressway division outside of the emergency room. they believe juveniles and headed to pennsylvania. and this atlantic city expressway crash, a white ford pick up truck with six inside including one child travelling in the westbound lanes after 7:00 a.m. in hamilton hospital when it flipped over. police say three people were in the cab and three in the bed of the pick up and all six thrown from the vehicle. a front seat male passenger dead on the scene and three air lifted to the hospital. traffic at a stand still with westbound lanes closed.

cars backed up behind the accident site and some drivers got out unsure of what was going on. and others stand by the service pla pla plaza not certain when they could get back on the ex-prepar ex-prepares way. >> i just have to wait. >> we are waiting for it to open up and having an investigation. >> some tried to u-turn but the police blocked off the wrong-way drivers. while detours were in place the backed up traffic could slowly get by on the right shoulder and others looked for alternate routes. >> up had to backtrack 15 miles or wait it out. >> go towards atlantic city and find a way around. >> this accident investigation is underway this noon and it is unclear where the pick up truck was coming from. and they don't know yet what caused it to flip over. we are live in camden, katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. >> a live look now at the

atlantic city expressway. right now where two of the lanes reopened just moments ago. traffic moving pretty good except for one far lane. two lanes are open at this hour and of course we will continue to update the story for you both online at 6abc.com and onair beginning on "action news" tonight at 4:00. over news, bensalem police same the accident last night along bristol pike a deadly case of hit and run around 6:45 in the 4100 block. the body of a man found along the shoulder of the southbound lanes. the victim has been identified as vincent perry from philadelphia. the vehicle that struck him fled the scene. police say it should have significant front-end and windshield damage. anyone with information is asked to call the bensalem police. investigators looking for the cause of a fire that represented through a warehouse in a manufacturing company on ferry avenue. part of the roof collapsed and

reports of explosions as crews battled the flames. fortunately, no one hurt. fire investigators in trenton trying to determine what sparked this 3-alarm blaze. flames engulfed this twin home on colonial an avenue. and it took the crews over a half-hour to get it under control, no one injured. in philadelphia cleaning up after a water main break at oregon. and it ruptured before 5:30 this morning. few homes impacted but neither seriously damaged. no word on what caused the break, and drivers should expect delays in the area. peco trying to keep people cool. distributing fans at senior centers in philadelphia and surrounding counties.

accuweather forecast any time by downloading the free app. and it gives you will weather aler alerts. and investigating an accident between one of the officers and a wrong-way driver. it happened on the 3700 block of standston street in east falls before 1:00 this morning. the officer involved in the wreck said he accidentally rear-ended this red pick up truck because it was going the wrong way down an oneway street. it is not clear what charges will be filed. no one hurt. philadelphia police say a cook may have been struck by astray bullet while leaving stun on rising sun avenue in lawndale section where a 20 year old man found before 3:00 a.m. the victim told the police he just left the bar when he heard someone yell "don't shoot" and heard a shot fire. he is in stable condition with a

gunshot wound to the leg and they hope video from cameras will lead to an arrest. a delaware hero receiving one of the military's highest mondayors for -- honors, and honoring it him with the third bronze star medal this morning at the headquarters in new castle. distinguishing him self with exceptional service in afghanistan in charge of a task force that located and disarmedism proadvised explosive devices. and they say his work helped fight one of the greatest threats to the troops. and they said his medal would not be possible without his team. >> i had a great bunch of guys who go above and beyond and do the dangerous jobs. they would go out there and that's what they loved to do. >> and the major has deployed six times over 15 years with overtures of duties in saudi arabia, iraq, germany and korea. and dozens of people dedicated the morning to improving fairmount park today.

looking outside well as a beautiful shot, seeing nothing but blue skies and fairmount park looking at the fountain. and nobody dipping in. and checking the numbers for you as you are headed out right now. a good-looking afternoon. 76 degrees the current temperature in the city. look at the dewpoint it is the measure of the moisture in the atmosphere. only 44 degrees. and yesterday it was near 70. this is a huge change, showing very dry atmosphere, unusually so this time of year. the winds out of the north-northwest 7 miles an hour and a northwesterly component that is bringing in the drier air mass. and thes pressure 30.02 inches. looking at temperatures in the region, lehigh valley low to mid 70s. 76 in the city, 77 degrees at atlantic city airport. pretty uniform in the area. satellite 6 and action radar showing a good amount of sunshine. a few high clouds streaming in. a picture-perfect day. you can see the clouds and showers out to our west and the clouds to our south as well. it is a frontal boundary that will stay out of our region so we don't have to worry about
