afternoon. the accident backed up westbound traffic for hours. "action news" reporter, david henry, is live at cooper university hospital where the driver is being treated tonight. david? >> yeah, that's right, jim. the two most critically injured victims that accident were brought here to cooper university medical center. the driver of that pick up truck, and that 4 year old girl. and just a short while ago, a little over an hour ago, we sadly learned the child had passed away. the horrific accident happened around 7:00 this morning. the pickup truck heading west towards philadelphia on the atlantic city expressway passing the farley service plaza and it slammed into a guard rail and flipped over. three people riding in the cab, three others in the open bed of the truck. all six were ejected. a passenger in the cab, 35 year old jammes dennis, was killed. ment driver, 45 year old roselyn kornegay and a 4 year old girl in the cab were critically injured. they were both flown to cooper

in camden and the girl later died. the three young people riding in the bed of the truck were taken to atlantic city medical center where they are all in serious, but non-life-threatening condition. the police are withhold had gone the name of a boy, and the mothers are 19 year old brian gregory and 18 year old shaniqua abra abrams. and the pick up registered to just us construction. and they don't know where the pick up was coming from when it got on the expressway and don't know what caused it to veer out of control. and again the driver of the pick up, roselyn kornegay, remains in critical condition here at the hospital. the 4 year old girl has passed away. at this point the police are not releasing her name. live in camden, channel 6 "action news"." and one man killed during

the demolition of a blockbuster. and it the collapse at the construction sight on route 38 at 12:30. and a backhoe operator also hurt and taken to kennedy hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. and the camden county prosecutors and osha are being laoing into -- looking into what caused the accident. and someone in custody for a hit and run. be vincent was struck by a car and found lying on the shoulder in the southbound lanes. and he later died at the hospital. the vehicle left the scene before police arrived. and investigators are interviewing a woman in connection with this case. no charges have yet been announced. penndot shutdown the greaterford bridge in perkiomen township. an inspection turned up the fact the bridge's beams deteriorated to the point penndot can no

longer allow vehicles to pass. and john rawlins live at the bridge tonight and it does not sound like a short-term problem. >> the bridge built in 1957, it probably reached its live expect antsy. the thinking is that it will probably be rela laplaced and n repaired. and it could take months for design work, bids and approvals and to demolish the existing structure. overall it can run into a year or more we are told. >> that bridge is out. it cannot -- >> folks trying to turn on graterford road and it is closed. >> no warning that it was going to happen. >> it was a surprise. i saw it on facebook.

and the detour for those who use the bridge 2900 times a day. and some are looking for gridlock. >> it will be a mess and nightmares for computers. >> and penndot was twachg and last year the weight limit from 18 to 14 tons. and last month the inspectors discovered significant new damage in a critical concrete beam, along with badly rusting steel reinforcement bars. it was calculatie ining bridge not hold the weight of several wars let's alone trucks or buses. >> and when we looked at it we shut the bridge down when it is lower than 3 tons and we had to take that course of action. into and a live picture of the bridge, one of the states 463 structurally deficient bridges. they have a long list of bridges in trouble in pennsylvania. what caused this somewhat abrupt downturn for this bridge, one
