comfortable. we have low humidity levels, some locations are in the 50s. clear skies, 58 degrees, in quakertown. fleetwood, 55. pilots, ten better at 65. chester, 66 and center city 66 degrees. south and east, temperatures are a little bit milder that's to be expected for this time of year. vineland, 66. glassboro, 66. smyrna 66 and dover, 63. here's satellite and radar, we'll set it in motion for you, notice how the cloud line continues to drift to the south. the poconos it's a gorgeous morning in the mountains, the farther south you travel the more clouds you run into. there will be scattered showers from time to time, do not cancel any plans because this is what we're expecting in the bucket when all is said and done today, look at this, maybe.02 of an

inch in wilmington animal .01 in dover. you may see a brief shower, but it will be extremely light and quick-moving. weekend kick off for the city, mostly cloudy skies, 77. the jersey shore, shades of gray, 75. the poconos bright and sunny, a few clouds from time to time and 72 degrees, tomorrow promises to be nicer. today is not a bad day, but tomorrow will be brighter and nicer. i'll have the details in the seven-day forecast in about ten minutes. >> new this morning a fire overnight lands one person in the hospital and other people in shelters. "action news" was in philadelphia's lawncrest section, as firefighters put out hot spots. it is fire started on rutland street. a neighboring home this smoke and water damage.

the red cross said 6 people were offered shelter and other help. investigators are searching for what started the fire. police in bucks county quickly arrested a duo in a deadly hit-and-run accident. they are accused of trying to hide evidence in an effort to get away with the crime. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: rachel do you have anything to say for yourself. 32 melissa rachel and stephen pagano had nothing to say as they were led away to their arraignment in bensalem. >> we received a credible tiptoed one of our officers was able to follow up. >> reporter: pmplet agano -- pagano why did you try to hide the car police say pagano tried

to hide the pick up truck and took it to a location in philadelphia. >> they took it to a location in philadelphia where they did other things that we can't get into right now. >> reporter: at this point police had no idea how rachel struck the victim without seeing him and whether she was driving under the influence. >> at this time we have no evidence to approve there was narcotics or alcohol related to the investigation. >> reporter: judge brown ordered rachel held on $750,000 cash bail. pagano has been charged with tampering with evidence, he removed the license tag and washed it. he has been ordered held on $75,000 cash bail. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> osha is investigating the death of a worker at a demolition site in south jersey. chopper 6 was above the scene yesterday at the site of a

former block buster a worker was crushed when a concreek wall collapsed on top of him -- concrete wall collapsed on top of him. another worker was hurt, and was taken to kennedy hospital with non-life threatening injuries. a 4-year-old child after a crash on atlantic city expressway. james dennis was pronounced at the scene. the two were among the 6 people thrown from a pickup truck when it hit the guardrail. the single vehicle crash happened near the farley service center. greater folder road bridge -- graterford road bridge will be shut down after inspectors found damage on the beam and concrete reinforcement bars. penndot close the the bridge as

a precaution. repairing or replacing the bridge may take a year or more. drivers will face a 2 1/2 mile detour. >> that bridge is out. it cannot -- >> that's bad news. >> it's going to be a mess and nightmare for commuters. >> last year penndot reduced the weight limit on the bridge. comedian tracy morgan continues to improve following the horrific accident on the new jersey turnpike earlier this month. morgan is out of the hospital and moved to a rehab facility where he'll continue his recovery. a spokesperson for the actor said he is showing signs of improvement, but has a long recovery ahead. morgan broke his leg and ribs, his friend was killed when a tractor-trailer slammed into their limo bulls. the truck driver kevin roper has

pleated not -- pleaded not guilo death by auto. as you sunni militants han control of the border of iraq and syria. prime minister is facing calls to have a more inclusionive -- inclusive government. >> in 2006, then senator joe biden said iraq should be divided into three regions, george bush rejected the idea. the new president of the ukraine told troops to cease military operations against pro russian separatists for a week. he wants to follow the cease-fire with security patrols

and june, temperatures rebounded nicely. if you take the spring season as a whole we were right where we should be for this time of year. we had nearly 6 inches of rain surplus when we were calculating the rainfall numbers over the past couple of months. it has been dreary from time to time, temperature-wise we'll take it, considering the scroak around these parts -- the joke around these parts is we go from winter to summer we don't get to enjoy spring. chester, 67. glassboro, 66. sea isle you've jumped up to 70. cloud cover to the south, sunshine to the north, lehigh valley and the poconos bright and sunny this morning, dover, delaware, millville, new jersey, showing lots of clouds a couple of scattered showers are expected later this afternoon. if you have a tee time today there could brief showers passing on by south of the city.

otherwise we're looking at mostly cloudy conditions and breaks of sunshine, 10:00 a.m., 71 and 3:00 p.m., 77 degrees. the normal high for this time of year is 84. when you look at the numbers, yes, it will be a cooler day, but with the low humidity levels it will be outstanding out here, get out there and enjoy it. the numbers are milder for next week i'll have that when i step back inside in just a minute. >> philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion and sexual assault in in center city. police were called at 2:30, a security camera is nearby, police will take a look at that. they are talking to the woman. so far no arrest has been announced in the case. detectives are working to piece together exactly what happened. an alleged hit-and-run killer is under arrest in bensalem, bucks county as is the

man who tried to cover up the crime. investigators say 32-year-old melissa racismle was driveing with a suspended -- a melissa rachel was drive winning a suspended license when she struck and killed vincent perry. >> she hid the vehicle and took it to a location in philadelphia. >> reporter: pagano why did you try to hide the car. >> i don't know what you're talking about. >> police say he removed the license tag from the truck and washed it telling investigators he watched a lot of crime shows and knows how it works. >> police are investigating an accident that seriously hurt a boy in the extra -- in the strawberry section of

philadelphia. a car went around a septa bus that was stopped and hit the boy. he was taken to children's hospital philadelphia where's in stable condition. neighbors in south philadelphia are buzzing about some unwelcomed company near their front door. it seems that a large group of bees thought they would move in along the 2200 block of mifflin street. the swarm was blanketing two homes. they didn't attack anyone, but their very presence worried the people who live there. >> now i have to be cautious when me and my children and my family go into the house, because i'm scared i have to chase bees out of my house. >> good news a beekeeper came to the rescue. he scooped up the estimated 1300 insects and told residents there is likely a colony nearby. chestnut hill hospital workers are planning to stage a one-day strike. the healthcare workers are

calling on hospital management to negotiate a contract with fair wages. workers say chestnut hill is a for profit hospital and spends lesson workers than other homs. ted cruz is sounding off about immigration concerns and pointing a finger at the would you also. the texas senator is fruls straighted by the 2012 decision to defer deportations of young illegal immigrants. he said it offers amnesty. the white house said gang-related problems in other countries are fueling the influx. pope francis is jumping into the debate into whether to legalize so-called recreation drugs. he blasted legalization efforts

boards in atlantic city, 70 degrees and lancaster a couple of passing showers, 63. everybody is nice and comfortable with low dewpoints, anytime you're under 60 it's comfy and we'll stay there throughout the day. tomorrow it will be nice. we're zoom into new castle county and delaware, there's wilmington right there. showers moving northwest to southeast some of is not reaching the ground. the shower activity that is reaching the ground is very, very light and not amounting to much. the stuff out here is passing through gettysburg and harrisburg and into lancaster that will be pushing south and east over the next couple of hours. if you're living north of the pennsylvania turnpike you'll not see anything at all. you'll see a decent amount of sun, from that area south you'll see clouds. if you're heading to the firefly festival in dover, lots of cloud

cover expect today and could be a brief passing shower. there will be the dominant feature over the next couple of days it is forcing that low to the south, that's why we're seeing a couple of passing showers as opposed to steady rain. it gets out to sea sunday, high pressure takes over, temperatures are milder. we get into monday it works out to sea. winds shift out of the south, southeast it will warmth things up, we go farther to the west you can see how the numbers warm up on the backside of the high. the high sits here and work off to the southeast this warm air mass will follow it. that will push east over the next several days. forecast models have us up to 90 degrees by wednesday. other models keep us cooler, you get the idea it will be more
