gunfire. essayed to be in stable condition. bullets pierced the windshield of an officer's vehicle, but no officers were injured. no arrests were made in the shooting. meantime in the tioga section a fight outside a nightclub ended overnight with one person dead. police say a gunman shot a 24-year-old man twice in the abdomin. it happened outside the galaxy nightclub on germantown avenue. ment victim was pronounced at the hospital. we'll have more on the overnight violence in the next half-hour. >> philadelphia police are looking for the rapest who attacked a doctor inside her center city apartment. detectives have recovered surveillance video of the suspect that may be released soon. kenneth moten already knows what it shows. >> reporter: saturday night there was a little more caution in the air in popular rittenhouse square after the beating and rape of a 26-year-old woman on spruce near 19th. >> you hear about that it's a rude awakening that you have to

watch your surroundings and know who is around you. >> reporter: philadelphia police svu say after 1:30 surveillance video shows a man on a bike stalking a young woman who was alone. he scurld the bike on the sidewalk before sneaking up behind her. he didn't have a weapon, but strong armed the victim into a third floor apartment where he sexually assaulted her. >> my parents wanted me to live here because it's the safest neighborhood in philadelphia. >> reporter: the victim was a doctor at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. she was out at a bar. crime scene investigators dusted for fingerprints carried out bags of evidence and retraced the stems of the victim looking for surveillance video. those who live here say this is another reminder of the lurking dangers. >> i won't walk around any more at night alone i will get a cab

that in the seven-day forecast in just a bit. >> we have firefighters on the scene of a house fire at the jersey shore. three people were able to get out, but were hurt. they were overcome by smoke on saint louis avenue in egg harbor. flames ripped through the second floor. investigators are working to pinpoint what starting pointed the blaze. police are investigating several overnight shootings during a violent night in the area. the action cam was on the 5500 block of north american street in the logan section of philadelphia early this morning. police say a gunman shot two men in their 20s. investigator say one man is in critical condition, the other is in stable condition. police are still looking for the shooter. gunfire broke out overnight in atlantic city sending two men to the hospital. it happened at martin luther king boulevard and mediterranean avenue around 3:30. police found several shell
