♪ "action news," delaware valley's leading news program with ducis rodgers, meteorologist cecily tynan and jim gardner. >> it is monday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is breaking news from the mayfair section of philadelphia. police have converged on the 7100 block of frankfort avenue where there has been a shooting inside a health food store. "action news" reporter, dann cuellar live on the scene. what's happening there? >> we are outside of stan's health foods and police say after 5:00 a man goes in the store and pulls a knife on the woman owner who was in there by herself. he announce as robbery.

and picking up the story, what happened next? >> this 47-year-old perpetrator went behind the corner and the owner of the store, a 46 year old female in the store by herself. and he took the cash register from the counter and threw it on the ground. and he removed money from the cash register. after he had the money he put the knife in the middle of the chest of the woman who owned the store. and the woman shot the suspect one time in the torso and he collapsed. and when the police got here he still had a $100 bill in his hand. and they took the unconscious suspect to the hospital and right now he is in extremely critical condition, unknown whether or not he will survive his injuries. the store owner was not injured. >> thank g
