he announce as robbery. and picking up the story, what happened next? >> this 47-year-old perpetrator went behind the corner and the owner of the store, a 46 year old female in the store by herself. and he took the cash register from the counter and threw it on the ground. and he removed money from the cash register. after he had the money he put the knife in the middle of the chest of the woman who owned the store. and the woman shot the suspect one time in the torso and he collapsed. and when the police got here he still had a $100 bill in his hand. and they took the unconscious suspect to the hospital and right now he is in extremely critical condition, unknown whether or not he will survive his injuries. the store owner was not injured. >> thank goodness for that.

home. and the rapist who struck in the 1900 block of spruce, the police released this video of suspect parking and securing his vehicle and stalking his victim. >> at that moment the victim passes by him on the highway. he immediately turned and proceeds to approach her from behind. she is unaware that anybody was following her or was stalking her or said anything to her. >> in this surveillance video released earlier you see the suspect sneak up behind his victim and ultimately strong-arm her into her apartment building. he forced her upstairs to her apartment where he repeatedly raped and beat her. taking her iphone and keys before he fled, then returned to assault her again. police say the 26 year old victim, a doctor at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania, was walking home alone from this tavern when attacked.

turner. a memorial for turner at the scene of the crime on the 800 block of north pine street. 15 year old wisher has been charged with robbing and murdering turner on saturday. from our new jersey news room the toms river police say a man matching this sketch tried to lure a young boy from his front yard friday morning along terrace avenue near marion street. they said a man in an s.u.v. drove up and said to the boy come on, i got candy. she ran over and the man drove off. if you have information about this case, you are being urged to contact toms river police by phone or through facebook. philadelphia police are searching for the man who assaulted a 65 year old nun. it happened in a shoprite parking lot in the 3700 block of aramingo avenue in port richmond. live at the scene of this destickable attack is "action news" reporter, sarah bloomquist. sarah? >> jim, the 65 year old nun is

recovering at the home of the west philadelphia religious order where she lives. i spoke to her by phone, underably upset. multiple cuts to her face and a fractured finger. as "action news" first reported at 4:00 she was sitting in a car in this parking lot when the suspect got in and threatened her life. this afternoon customers at this shoprite at castor and aramingo just learning of the attack on a 65 year old nun yesterday morning. most said people are becoming so desperate. anyone, even a nun in her habit is a potential victim. >> people don't have any respect. it doesn't matter what your profession is or occupation. like if they are trying to get something out of it, it doesn't matter who you are. >> >> desperate times call for desperate measures. luckily she is safe, so that is the important thing. >> around 11:15 the nun was sitting in the passenger side of

a car waiting for a friend to return from shopping. the suspect jumped in the driver's side and asked where she wanted to go. the keys were in the ignition. when the nun went to grab them, the man grabbed her finger, breaking it. >> punching her repeatedly while saying he was going to kill her. he beats her up, beats her up, and finally pushes her out of the vehicle before taking off with the car. >> the nun ran into the shoprite top find her friend and call for help. the car a 2009 four-door silver chevy malibu like this, but with prior damage to the right side. the police are looking for it and checking surveillance cameras in the area. they want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious. >> it is 11:00 in the morning on a sunday, we are hoping that somebody may have seen something here and can hopefully give us a call. >> the victim told me her face may be permanently scarred. she believes it was her faith in god that saved her life. live in port richmond, i'm sarah bloomquist, channel 6

are rocking over just south and west of alaska near the alutian i would go south of the mainland. the mainland does not have a tsunami warning but the end of the island does. nothing imminent yet whether a tsunami is actually hitting. this earthquake was about 68 miles below the surface of the ocean. this is a chain of volcanos and islands here that is basically formed because of volcanic eruptions where the north american plate up here near the bering sea meets the pacific. and they could rub horizontally or vertically. no idea whether it is a plate that will send the tsunami up. no threat for the mainland of alaska and also no threat for

hawaii right now. some good news and hope fully we don't hear of any tsunami hit that chain of islands. the temperature back home 82 allentown, 81 reading, 8 in wilmington. cooling to the south and southerly wind from the sea breeze in sea isle city 74. and a few cloud broke away from the north and west but not harming us one bit. we look to the west and downpours eye -- erupting in the ohio valley. and tomorrow a touch more humid, 85 degrees and a south-southwestly wind. wednesday we crank up the humidity. with more humidity in the atmosphere basically water particles in the atmosphere sitting there, waiting to be rung out. with the front coming in late in the day, there could be some good downpours here wednesday afternoon of 86 degrees. and any of the downpours could quickly rise water, especially
