good afternoon, rick is off and in the news this noon, a teenager is among those killed in an overnight shooting at a miami apartment complex. and the lights go out on a decades old tradition in berks county. but the big story on "action news" this noon is breaking news, philadelphia police have a suspect in custody. in connection with a rape of a woman in her center city apartment over the weekend. this is milton garcia. he was arrested just three days after the attack. katherine scott is live now with more. >> reporter: within 72 hours of the rape being reported. the suspect was taken into custody. he is charged with rape and robbery and other offenses. this is milton garcia.

charged with the rape of a doctor from the university of the hospital of pennsylvania. >> we have this guy off the street and you can rest easily today. more importantly, this young professional woman and her family can begin to rebuild. garcia was taken into custody after a restaurant where he works. police say that garcia forced her into her apartment on rittenhouse square where he raped her repeatedly. and police say this was a crime of opportunity. >> we believe this man followd this female for some distance and then positioned himself at a point where he could intercept her. >> reporter: on monday they exkutzed a search warrant and took suspects in for questioning. a little bit of technology in that short amount of time was able to get us in the general

his home at 5:00 this morning. one of men crossed the street and hit him with a gun, and took his bag. the man was taken to the hospital with head injuries but is expected to be okay. police were on the scene of a robbery at a 7-eleven at the 5200 block of the rising sun avenue in the crescentville section. the suspect was armed with a gun and demanded cash and he ran off with $200. nobody was hurt during the robbery. and now a story involving philadelphia based, dietzen watson, mayor michael nutter announced the expansion of the philadelphia location. this comes in the wake of the devastating fire at their factory in december. 110 jobs will be moved to the

philadelphia police are searching for suspects in a shooting that left around 18-year-old man in critical condition, police say he was shotd 12 times in the hunting park section. the victim made his way to the 1500 block and then rushed to the hospital. police recovered an assault rifle from the scene, and they are talking to witnesses and looking at video to try to identify suspects. to people were rushed to the

hospital when they were shot, it happened after 1:00 on randal street. police have questioned witnesses to the shootding in an effort to identify a suspect, a teenager was one of two people killed in miami overnight. the gun fire erupted in the liberty cities neighborhood. police say they don't yet know what sparked the gun fire, to people are dead and several others are injured. they were initially not sure if the first reports of the shooting were tree. >> the initial call the newest people being shot, sometimes this could be a hoax and we were hoping this was the case, and that call went from four, to five, then to six or eight people shot. many victims are not allowing area hospitals to release information about their conditions. witnesses say that extremists have abducted more

highlights for the day's forecast, the humidity may kick up more in the afternoon and evening. it's an all day thing, we are move humid and with a front coming we get drenchers into play. how about that number at noon, 82 degrees already and the dew point is nice and low, and the south-southwest at 13 miles per hour and it will scoop up more humid air and bring it on in. 76 in allentown and 79 in trenton and 79 in atlantic city airport. the morning cloud cover that was advancing a bit from the west is now off to the north and eventually will filter in some of this cloud cover, we are going for a partly sunny afternoon, one we get past the next hour or so. sun and clouds in allentown and 84 degrees, certainly not oppressive. a good afternoon to get outside

and do stuff. off the water we are looking at ocean temperatures in the low to mid-70s and on the beach, a high of 78 degrees, the farther north you go to atlantic city and brigantine, the better chance of getting up to 80 degrees this afternoon. 85 in philadelphia, and sun and clouds, i'll allow it to get more humid over the next few hours. windses 6 to 18 miles per hour and not too bad, a stray, spotty shower is possible and most of you missed that and 70 was the overnight low, you will feel it getting muggier overnight. at the ballpark tonight, mostly cloudy skies and mild conditions at the start of the game, probably still partly sunny and 80 for the first pitch and 74 in the ninth inning and maybe muggy during the game and the same thing at the union, we start out with sunshine and after dark the clouds built in a bit more. 80 for start of the match against the cosmos, this is a
