scrapple and toast on an outside grill. >> and the water pipe burst and somehow, nobody knows for sure how, 40,000 gallons of water flowed into the gas pipe, it was a bad mix and they shut off the gas in a 14 block radius. still customers including this fried chicken plays no gas. >> no fried chicken no nothing. >> they are using vacuums to remove the water and it's a slow process. >> now an army of workers going door-to-door. and in some cases they restored place, they found that water reached gas meters and appliances. >> now we don't know when it will return. >> pgw saying 700 customers without service here since

saturday night. it's not easy to say when they will get their service back, a number of them are red tag cases, where the water has got enpast the gas meters and the owners will have to get their meters inspected and say they are safe to use. >> john rawlins, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. we are breaking news into us right now from center city philadelphia, chopper 6 live over 13th street north of filbert street. 13th street is shut down because of a suspicious package, the call came in a half hour ago and crews responded to the scene and it remains an active scene right now, so far there are no evacuations as a result of that

cosmos, the u.s. open cup is in town and partly cloudy and muggy and a nice night for soccer. 82 to start and by the 90th minute it will be 78 degrees for the dew points we are in the 50s and to the north and west, the dew points are rising into the middle to upper 60s that moons there is more moisture in the atmosphere and that turns more humid. to the west where the dew points come back up, there are downpours and thunderstorms around with the low pressure near chicago, all of this is heading to the north and east and eventually we'll get into some of this action, but the good news is, some of this severe weather with this will lift north to new england. oppressively humid tonight and tomorrow and tomorrow night. and they come through with the possibility of localized flooding. we'll talk about the timing of those downpours and less

and as we look right along the shore temperatures are cooler with a sea breeze only in the mid-70s. philadelphia and trenton and beach haven, all comfortable in the mid-50s, they are starting to rise in the west and south, into the middle 60s and dover and wildwood hitting 70 degrees, down to the south it's feeling more humid and on the border line oppressive here. across the board tomorrow, dew points back to near 70 degrees, you step out and feel the sun and you instantly sweat with the oppressive humidity and with that humidity bouncing back up, that is just a lot of water sitting in the at atmosphere waiting to be squeezed out. no threat for downpours or thunderstorms here, through the ohio valley and northern new engla england, as we time it, a

two children are dead after a freak accident in southern pennsylvania. a falling tree landed on a car as it was driving on 403, the children in the backseat were crushed to death and two other kids were hurt, a man driving and a pregnant woman were also injured. the tree came down because it

getting by on the outer most lane on the southbound side of the blue route, just past villanova, on the southbound a significant gaper delay is starting to amass there, can you see again, a couple of green penndot trucks on the scene hopefully uprighting that car, we don't know what caused this accidents. we don't know of the extent or existence of injuries. matt pellman is watching this one closely and trying to get you around the scene. an 18-year-old man was shot six times overnight and survived, it happened just after midnight on the 400 block of glenwood avenue, the victim ran to the 1300 block of ortany street. the gunman remains on the loose. now to the accuweather forecast, we are two for two so far on this work week.
