upper bard kbroid and there could have been two victims. >> hicks was pronounced dead at 9:00 this morning and his girlfriend is expected to be okay. philadelphia police released surveillance video today of a strong armed robbery at oxford circle sunday night. the suspect followed a 45-year-old woman into her apartment building on the 6800 block of the roosevelt boulevard, he grabbed her from behind and made her call a friend to bring money and the pair waited for a friend inside of victim's car. the man took the cash and the victim's car and took off. the woman was not hurt. police are trying to sort out a double stabbing in the northeast section of philadelphia, it happened on the 5900 block early this morning, a 54-year-old man was stabbed at least twice and a 71-year-old woman, the man's roommate was stabbed at least 15

times. john rawlins is live at the scene. >> reporter: the 71-year-old victim is upgraded to good condition and we have not got the condition of the 54-year-old yet. when police arrived there was an 18-year-old neighbor that came over to help the victims, the 18-year-old was from the other side of the street, the police have had him at the detectives headquarters as a witness and they came back to his house and it didn't seem to be a routine call. >> they used a battering ram to go into the 18-year-old's home, he was hosing down the bloody scene when they arrived. >> this neighbor had a hose in his hand but not only hosing

down the blood but the bloody female. he was actually squirting the hose on the female, which isn't good. >> the 18-year-old's mom told her he heard screams and when to the victim's house. >> i think he is trying to help but i don't really know. >> they put on protective suits to ener the scene. the 71-year-old victim was described as a hoarder and her home infested with fleas because of numerous cats she kept and the attack on her was extremely vicious. >> approximately 15 staff wounds from her chest to her toes. >> the 71-year-old upset neighbors for years not just for the rubbish in the house but because of a combative personality. >> she comes out and starts screaming and hollering for no reason.

animal control officers are telling residents to look for an elusive black bear that is roaming around for a few days, in burn township, official says that as long as the bear doesn't cause problems they won't try to catch it. a neighborhood in upper darby is on edge after four women awoke to find a stranger standing over their beds. the incidents have all happened since the middle of april, the latest was on june 17th on the 1100 block of seifert road. they describe the suspect as a slim african-american male between 5'8" and 5'10" inches

before the 8:00 hour, have you an hour and a half to two hours before they arrive, take a look at the action cam, that spot that beat the heat today. still humid at the shore meant some business as you can see old glory there getting quite the workout and that sea breeze will help stabilize the atmosphere from the storms in new jersey and delaware a little later on. first, lets talk about the highlights, hotd and humid today and tracking the storms with the heat and humidity and the combination of the two it felt like 90 degrees, that was the high in philadelphia, sticking out like a sore thumb since nobody else hit 90, 89 in allentown 87 in dover but the highs today at the shore only in the upper 70s because of that wind off the water. and again we are tracking those storms on double scan live, most of the heavy action is north of scranton and will miss us.

and we'll get scraped especially in pennsylvania on the southern fringe of this cold front and that line later on this evening. it feels like 89d in philadelphia and 87 in millville and 93 in dover and 91 in allentown and that is the combination of the air temperature and the dew points, of how much moisture is in the air. the at atmosphere certainly charged up as this line approaches from the west. satellite and radar, we are all good to go and most of the heavy action is off to the north and we watch the area as it slides in from 8:00 until midnight from i-95 to the west. future tracker confirming it's knocking on the doorstep of lancaster and reading and a couple of hours later at 10:00, the line of thunderstorms between allentown and chester coin and along i-95 in philadelphia at midnight tonight. with some of that lightning, you go to bed early you get jolted
