distance over potential defects. let's go over to karen rogers who is in for david murphy and matt pellman is watching the roads. >> reporter: good morning, you might have heard the thunder in the overnight hours. the coast is clear, it's pushed off the coastline. the trouble with these storms is that they were so slow moving, we did get a good amount of rain. we had advisories for flood concerns in the overnight hours, but not now, though, we're looking pretty good. we have a fair amount of clouds left behind from the storms. if you're heading out early you'll be dealing with that. 73 degrees, 70 in allentown. 69 in millville. but even along the coastline you're in the low 70s right now. if you're heading out the door early on you'll be dealing with

cloudy skies and it will be muggy. we're heading up to warm day ahead. 88 degrees for the high, clouds and sunshine. a slight chance for a spotty storm coming up later today. i've got future tracker 6 standing by ready to show you what it looks like in just a minute. >> reporter: i was surprised how sticky it was when i walked out this morning, i thought in the wake of a storm things would cool down. >> reporter: not just yet. >> reporter: we're looking live at the good old schuylkill expressway drying out by route 202 not a lot of traffic just yet. a few cars heading toward gulph mills. they're wrapping construction in the southbound lanes by kings grant. overnight work on i-95 is wrapped up. and on the tacony-palmyra is wrapped up. the eastbound lanes of baltimore pike heading into media, they

want you on the route 1/media bypass to get into that area. there's a crash on the garden state parkway, near to toms rivr northbound direction involves an overturned vehicle, everything is off to the side. tam. right now we have breaking news to tell you about, the action cam is live on the scene of a violent home invasion in strawberry mansion. two men stormed the home on the 2700 block of west berks street at 4:30. the intruders hit a man in the head with a gun and tied him up and stole flat screen tv and cash and drove off in his mercedes no arrests have been made. officers stopped a vehicle on the 100 block of west champler street in olney.

the driver pulled a gun on them and the police opened fire. he was taken to sign stein with multiple gunshot wounds he is in critical condition, but expected to survive. >> also in the suspect's possession was a clear bag of green weed like subpoena stance which appears -- substance which appears to be marijuana. he not only had a gun that he was going to fire at police, but he had a being of marijuana. >> philadelphia police need your help in identifying a suspect that attacked a woman in her apartment building. katherine scott joins us live outside northeast detectives mayfair with the latest. >> reporter: eva, the victim has not been able to sleep she's been talking about moving because she doesn't feel safe in her apartment. police are hoping that the

surveillance video will help put this guy behind bars. it is from june 15th around 10:00 p.m. you can see the victim walking from her car into her apartment building on the 6000 block of the roosevelt boulevard. the video shows her being followed in while she gets her mail. there's a struggle. he drags her to the car demanding more money than she had on her. he makes her call somebody and drives around the building in her car waiting for her friend to show up with money. he took the cash and her friend and kick them out a few blocks away. >> during the struggle there's a couple of seconds where you might be able to recognize him or recognize him by his build. >> reporter: so northeast detectives are investigate this. if you have any tips call them. victim, you can hear from her coming up in a half-hour, live mayfair, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thanks are katherine. upper darby police are on the look out for a man breaking into homes and watching women sleep. four women tell police they have awakened to find a stranger standing over their beds. the incidents started in mid april. the latest happened on the 7100 block of seaford road last tuesday. he is described as slim black man 5'8", he has a mustache and goatee and gap between his two front teeth. >> philadelphia fire crews are on the scene of a sewer line break in port richmond on east somerset street. the break is under i-95. so far no reports of any homes being flooded. the united states supreme court has ruled that police

>> the new jersey turnpike authority has given the greenlight to a 36 million-dollar project to add a third lane to the garden state parkway. crews will widen the roadway between galloway township and port republic in atlantic county. it will reduce congestion and allow motor i alsos to park disabled vehicles outside travel lanes. >> reporter: it's nice to have a little extra elbow room. you have pleasant on the pennsylvania turnpike. vehicles heading toward 202, mailing and paving work with it 422 and 202 come together. they are cleaning up a crash at germantown pike at ridge pike. the grader ford bridge is closed
