>> developing this morning, the hunt is on for a gunman who shot and killed a man and wounded several other people in delaware county. >> a struggling atlantic city casino could close for good leaving thousands out of work. >> a pipe wielding suspect attacks two deputies in their cruisers.e wielding suspect a upstairs truck has controversy turned on i-95 in delaware, the driver is trapped inside the wreckage. you're taking a look at the new video in from the scene. this is the southbound lanes of i-95 near basin road in newport. all southbound lanes are shut down as crews work to free the

trapped driver. it's 5:30 we're bringing in karen and matt pellman. karen will have the traffic in just a moment. matt pellman is also a busy roadway in the morning, this will not be good for a lot of commuters. >> reporter: you've got that right, an hour we've been without the southbound lanes of i-95 and we are getting toward the morning rush hour. as it continues to be closed we'll see more problems as everybody is forced off the southbound side of i-95 on to 141 northbound. the over turned truck is blocking all lanes at basin road. some alternates coming out of the wilmington if you normally head south on i-95 stay up on route 2, kirkwood highway. use route 4 or take 1 south to 273 from there use churchman's road or highway one knob to get back to -- northbound to get back to i-95 southbound. a number of options if you use i-95 southbound in the morning. a bad accident in avendale,

section. there's no word on why the man was in the abandoned building. he was taken to the hospital with a head injury. the showboat hotel and casino could shut down in the next couple of months that could leave two thousand workerses without a job. -- work he recalls without a job -- workers without a job. annie mccormick has more. >> reporter: that information is coming from local 54, the union that represents hotel and restaurant workers. they say caesars officials have notified of them that they will close down the showboat in 60 days and nose will come out today -- notices will come out today. atlantic city took another hit, according to local 542500 employees will receive -- local 54, 2500 employees will receive notices that it will shut in 60

profitable with positive earns is a criminal act committed on the people of atlantic city. the atlanta club did close in january. caesars is expected to make an announcement today, they did not return phone calls for comment. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." eva. >> thanks annie. 6 people including two people were hurt in a nasty crash in new castle delaware. the accident happened around 9:00 p.m. a ford explorer hit a motorcycle and a toyota. the children ages 5 and ten were critically hurt. the others are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. police are looking for an armed gunman that held a philadelphia sneaker store on welsh road before 6:00 p.m. police say he stole one thousand

dollars and got away with the store security system. no shots were fired and none of the employees were hurt. >> it's 5:37 now happening today, former sports caster don tollefson will be formally arraigned in a bucks county courtroom. he is charged with stealing $250,000 that was supposed to to go to charitable organizations. he solicited the money from 150 people for what turned out to be fake travel packages to sporting events. his lawyer said he suffers from addiction and working on a recovery. the in a neshaminy school d voted in favor of a policy to prevent the word "redskins." the student editors of the paper have been in a struggle with the board and administration since voting to ban the word last fall. the policy gives the editor controlling over the news

i-95. or keep going to get to highway 1 northbound. as you're seeing with the waze app no problems on the alternates. it's going to take you extra time getting around this morning. let's get suburban with the suburban traffic report. in avendale chester county there's two tracker trailers blocking newport gap road. it's camera time in exton along 100. traffic is moving fine right now. starting at 6:00 p.m. until early tomorrow morning they will block one of these northbound lanes, so, you could see delays starting this evening. >> flooding is a concern in parts of our country and there's more rain making the situation worse. abc has more on help for those in the path of all that water. >> reporter: relentless rain and rising rivers, water overtaking
