weekend. beautiful around the delaware and lehigh valleys. next week the humidity returns that will bring showers and thunderstorms that could produce heavy downpours and everything clears out in time for the 4th. we have a rare 4th july street for you, wait until you see how school it -- cool it is around e region. i'll have that in just a moment. >> fire kills a woman and young boy in north philadelphia. the fire started on the second floor of the home of north 6th street after midnight. seven people were inside at the time of the fire. there were working smoke detecters inside the home, but the flames quickly railed up to the third floor trapping the woman and child. a neighbor described the frantic moments and the legacy the woman is leaving behind. >> i don't know whether to run in there or stand back, by the time i was going to get to the door i seen all the flames shooting out of the top window.

i could yell her name. she helped clean the block and father's day she threw all the men around here a father's cookout. that's a nice family. >> the family lived in the home for decades. the cause of the fire is under investigation. it appears road rage over blocked traffic ended in murder. police say this green minivan is linked to the shooting in kensington. now the search is on for three people who were inside the van. the victim was shot while standing in the middle of the 2800 block of north 5th around 9:00 a.m. he was arguing with his girlfriend. drivers started honoring and police say one person in the minivan got out and pulled out a gun and shot the man. >> it's of appears at this time this shooting was motivated by road road road rage.

the victim was blocking traffic. >> police say they are analyzing surveillance video of the van at the murder scene. a burglar was in no hurry during his visit to a business in jenkintown. supper veilance pictures show up the man in his green pick up truck at the dealership on thursday. he walked around the business until he found an unlocked door, went inside and then made coffee walked out with a a bunch of tools. abdomining son police are looking for the suspect and his green ford ranger. wawa welcome america's celebration begin today all leading up to the big concert and fireworks on the parkway. while the hope is everybody has a great time, keeping everyone safe is a serious business.

marijuana for medical conditions scored a victory in harrisburg. a senate committee allowed pot to be grown and distributed in pennsylvania. the committee vote does not make it legal in pennsylvania, but it moves the bill closer to a vote in the full state senate. governor tom corbett strongly opposes medical marijuana in the commonwealth. she has been stripped of the crown, but now the miss delaware organization said amanda longacre will keep the scholarship and other awards. the organization realized she was too old for the title. she did nothing wrong and accurately reported her birth date on applications. the delaware title belongs to britany lewis. plans for the museum of art

there were 7 people home who the fire started. smoke alarms alerted them. >> who homes were affected by the blaze. commission sawyer said the doors to the third floor bedroom where the woman and boy were found were not shot. that allowed the fire to get inside the bedroom. the commissioner urges everyone to sleep with doors shut if safe to delay the progress of a fire. the family did did have not have escape plan. a young boy was hit at 32 andy westfield avenue in camden. the boy is in serious condition, but expected to survive. police are looking for the hit-and-run driver. philadelphia police are searching for a shooter. the action cam was along north 5th street in kensington. a 32-year-old man was in front
