was a big bang. some thought it was a gun shot. >> we saw the awning laying on the ground and deposit realize there was a baby under the awning until the mother started screaming. >> friends say 3-year-old winter lark inwas with her mother cheryl in an annual fundraiser for a sorority and fraternity. when the 11 to 1200 gate crushed the toddler witnesses say 20 or more men struggled to lift it and hold it in the air. >> the gentlemen from the fraternity were holding the awning up and they were trying to reus is state the child. >> the child died of her injuries 5 p.m.. some sorority and fraternity members left to be with grieving family members at hahnemann and other to central detective for witness interviews. >> l & i are doing inspected on the other problems and checking grates obviously protecting the scene to dot investigation. it's appears to be a horrible

tragedy. >> as the crime scene unit processed the scene and officials tried to see where the gate sprayed from the building neighborhoods reflected on this random and fatal freak accident you. >> don't think about sending your child to get a water ice and the next thing happens a sign falls on your child. it's just ridiculously sad. >> a wrecker was brought in to remove the fwait. neighbors have complained about it being loose. at least one complaint was made to licenses and inspections and how it was handled is unclear. sources also state lag bolts drilled into the building to hold up that frame should have been 6 to" long but the ones found were just 2.25" long. now, rita's just released a statement saying our heart and prayers go out to the child's family but due to the current investigation, we really cannot comment about the unfortunate incident. now, police still have the sidewalk in front of the store taped off.

>> the fire trapped and killed two people. 69-year-old gwynn colefield known as miss gwynn and her grandson 5-year-old lamar green his family called him tj. >> tj and miss gwynn were discovered together. >> they found him in her arms she was actually trying to get out. >> cofeel's youngest brother spoke to "action news" by signature erin grand nev knew. 7 family members were inside at the time of the fire including t v's hospital mom. neighbors say miss gwynn always brought them together. >> cook out, week before that helped us clean the block up. >> she had a kind, love, spirit about herself. everybody in the neighborhood knew her. >> home next door had smoke damage and everyone inside got out alive and red cross is assisting some victims. fire marshall is still working on a cause. >> victims were found on the third floor front bedroom. fire started on second floor

front bedroom. >> rest of heyward's familyly in the home are uninjured and they're shocked as they plan funerals for the two family members. >> we're a strong-knit family and we're always doing things together. my father and mother raised us to always be with each other. we're there for each other now. >> annie mccormick, "channel 6 action news."" >> investigators have released the name of a man killed during an apparent road rage shooting in kensington. 32-year-old antonio badraza was shot twice in the head and chest last night on 2800 block of north fifth street. investigators say he was arguing with his girlfriend in front of the home and blocking traffic from getting by. it appears an upset driving got out of a mini van and opened fire. he died at the scene. the search for the suspect continues. >> two people survived when a small plane went down on the delaware river this afternoonch the pilot successfully landed the aircraft in penn'sville, new
