after a collision involving a septa trolley. communities in bucks county advised to boil their water. the big story on "action news at noon," developing right now the search continuing at the jersey shore for a teenager who was swept away by a rip current. >> chopper 6 hd above ocean city as the search teams returned to the water to look for the 14 year old boy. he fell in the water off a jetty near 9th street yesterday and has not been seen since. and annie mccormick joins us lives in ocean city with the latest on the search efforts. >> this morning i spoke to the family and were underably upset, and the aunt of the boy said she drove here after 1:00 this morning, to be with the family as they continue to wait to see if the coast guard and officials can recovery the young boy from the waters. you can see out there the coast guard tugboats and divers were

out there. and they say it was after the life guards were off duty a group went swimming. family members left midmorning and there were reports the teen was missing before 7:00 sunday night. >> the police out there and a.t.v.s and boats. >> according to family, the boy was swimming with family members and friends when a rip current came through. the ocean city beach patrol rapid response team and coast guard rushed to find him. but they also had to save good samaritans jumping in to help taken by the rip current as well. in total 14 people saved. by midmorning officials reopened the beach. the people visiting today are still thinking of that missing boy. >> nobody is really going out in the water. people are really concerned today about finding this little boy, it really is sad. i am not letting my kids out of my sight. >> and back out here live, you

see the beach is packed today on 9th street since they reopened it this morning of the search crews, like i said, will remain out here. did i speak to the beach patrol. they end today at 5:00 p.m., no word on when the actual search will end. we're expected to talk to the fire chief sometime today. now reporting live in ocean city, new jersey, annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." >> annie, thank you. turning to the weather now, a beautiful weekend behind us. the holiday ahead. and boy, it's going to get hot. the heat back on as we begin the week leading up to the 4th of july. sky 6 hd with a live look at cape may and a lot of people out there. the jersey shore a popular place to seek relief in the heat and humidity making a return to the region. meteorologist david murphy joins us now outside where he already doesn't have the suit jacket on. david? >> no way, sarah. we have plenty of sunshine.

and you look at the satellite covering that first. sprinkles and showers fell apart largely before reaching us this morning, and now an unsettled mix of clouds space and space to the rest. and if you are down the shore getting a break now, only 75 on the boardwalk. and dewpoints over 60 we start talking humidity and in wilmington that's humid with the dupe -- dewpoint of 69. and everybody feel more humid than the weekend. the high today 88, a couple of degrees above average. and the low 70s, also a couple of degrees above average. and quickly remind you that you need to be reminded plenty of sunshine between the high u.v. index and keep the sunscreen handy. and it gets more humidity in the next couple of days and drenching storms coming up.

during the morning rush at baltimore avenue and 55th street in west philadelphia. the route 34 trolley traveling westbound when the minivan ran a red light and ran into the side of the trolley. two people, one inside of the trolley were injured and taken to the hospital at the university of pennsylvania for treatment. learning what sparked a fire in delaware leaving a driver seriously injured. the state fire marshal's office said travis paul smith threw a lit cigarette out of the window and the wind blew it back into the vehicle setting the interior of the car on fire. it happened near the exit for kirkwood highway. motors stopped pulling him to safety and he had second and third-degree burns in serious condition ten crozer burn center. and a water main broke flooding a neighborhood, and you

see the water rushing down the streets. the fire department called to the scene about 12:45 this morning after the 8-inch main broke. the water department got the main turned off. no evacuations but work sunday way to repair the main. some residence in bucks county advised to boil water following a main break there this weekend. also told to limit their water usage. and we have more on his visit on "action news" tonight at 4:00. > meteorologist david murphy with the details. we have deal with heat first. >> we are precipitation free after showers flirted with us. the action cam out in center city, you see how we have seen a mix of clouds and sun breaking through. and i will te tell you it is on of the days where the sun breaks through it is humid out there. and the forecast a little more humid than over the weekend but then getting into full force heat and humidity with drenching storms later in the week. getting to it, and the current temperature 83 warm degrees. the dewpoint in philadelphia dipped blow the 60-degree threshold for humid air. it was above it earlier, and most of our reporting areas

humid than today. wednesday and thursday the big-ticket days. tomorrow perhaps a shower or thunderstorm around. as the front comes in midweek, wednesday and thursday we have an even better chance of some drenching thunderstorms. these may not hit everywhere, but where they do they can put down a lot of rain in a hurry and produce frequent lightning. that is wednesday's and thursday's story, after that unsettled. after that an eye on the tropics. a bit of precipitation east of florida. this right now according to the national hurricane center has about a 60% chance of becoming a tropical depression and then programs a tropical storm. can't be stern how strong, but once it happens it will scoot into florida and then pushed up the east coast. the deal with ups likely we have impact, it will just push north so that philadelphia is dry. and down the shore maybe
