miles per hour and the water temperature is 82 degrees, warm water and it's moving into the gulf stream that is even warmer, i'm pretty sure that arthur will become a hurricane as we head towards the 4th of july. there is not one computer model that shows it moving over the delaware and jersey shore, they are all generally 850 miles off the coast of atlantic city, some of them even farther, rip currents are the main threat locally. if you plan ongoing to the outer banks and virginia beach for the 4th of july weekend, i would rethink the plans, locally the main concern is rip currents, those are concerns for folks heading to the beach. right now the main concern is the heat and humidity, 95 in philadelphia and 98 in delaware and wilmington. it will get hotter tomorrow and we have a heat advisory in

thompson runs the day care on the 1600 block of sylvester street. this morning she allegedly had five children with her when she went grocery shopping. police say she left them unattended in this suv. the lady made an announcement in chop right, she came out of home department. >> the cops escorted her to the car and took her. >> the suv was left running with the air conditioner on and the children appeared to be okay when they were taken to the hop for observation. they had a gallon of water and access to snacks. neighbors say they have left their on children in thompson's care and never had complaints. >> my youngest son has been there. >> and you trust her? >> yes, she has a nice place. she always has the kids with her. >> lni shows the day care is

ago he had his first asthma attack. he was coughing and choking and couldn't sleep. after the initial treatment, problems continued until sean was seen at the childrens hospital in west philadelphia, and enrolled in a program called breathe easy start today. it's for families with keystone first insurance, it's estimated one in four kids in the area has asthma, one of the biggest obstacles to control it -- is not picking up medicine, so this program the kidsp parents are taught how to properly use their medication and king of prussia pharmacy services give the information at the time of appointment and refills are delivered. >> this way they know how to use the medication and use the medication and prevent them from

time for accuweather, cecily tynan is back now at the big board, an interesting forecast as we head towards the holiday weekend. >> happy july and it's hot out there and getting hotter tomorrow. 92 in philadelphia and wilmington 91 and at the shore it's breezy ain lot cooler, sea isle city and boardwalk all 77 degrees. you add the humidity, the way it

feels, 95 in philadelphia and feels like 98 in dover. and tomorrow a few degrees higher, the heat index will be above 100. you'll need to be careful. there are lines of showers working across pennsylvania, there are more than 500 lightning strikes and it could be clipping the northwest suburbs, and future tracker showing a broken line of thunderstorms, i really do not think they will be severe, a run of the mill thunderstorm that falls apart by 9:00 and behind the system tomorrow, it's going to be intense, the expected heat index for the heart of the delaware valley, we are looking at 100 to 105, the highest heat index we have seen all year, and
