it's cool for the fourth of july. the part of reason it feels cooler is because of the blustery winds. coming in at 32 miles-an-hour. trenton up to 30 miles-an-hour. along the coast atlantic city 30 miles-an-hour. and beach haven a gusts up to 31 miles-an-hour. we have the moisture exiting to the north and east. it is because of hurricane arthur. the storm system is off to our east. the center of the storm showing a wave height of 29 feet. as you get away from the center of this storm and the tropical moisture wave heights up to 15 feet. it starts to diminish. the wave heights are a concern as we progress through the weekend. they are not as strong as they are across the center of that storm system that is pulling

concerts. this was the scene at wilmington, delaware today. it began with music. the children enjoyed moon bouncing and face-painting. hi, sweetie. they decorated their wagons with red, white and blue. marching bands followed. and string bands marched through clifton heights, delaware county. the children waved american flags as the parade rolled through town. dozen was immigrants spent this fourth of july becoming american citizens in camden. they hosted this nationalization ceremony. 35 people took the oath of

life. we begin with a big weather headline hurricane arthur. let's begin to where it has been. scott goldberg is live in seaside heights with arthur's impact. scott. >>reporter:well, alicia there is a big difference between disappointment and devastation. they would prefer a sunnier fourth of july. they remember superstorm sandy. it wiped out the boardwalk. arthur is not that bad. on writesville beach in north carolina the fourth of july began with the look and feel of the beach holiday that so many wanted but didn't expect. the night before hurricane arthur nailed the outer banks of a category two storm the wind

it's a powerful hurricane. winds sustained 90 miles-an-hour as we flip from the satellite and the radar, it rain is long gone east of the big apple. there are bands of heavy rain and stronger winds for them. as we take a look at data off of our coastline you see the tip of cape may. the winds out at 23 miles-an-hour. gusting to 34 down there. the ocean temperature has dropped to 59 degrees churned up because of arthur that passed us by a few hundred miles. as you look at temperatures it's dropping on the western side of this low. the winds around that hurricane or counterclockwise. 77 in philadelphia. 77 in allentown. dover is 76 degrees. it's a perfect time for the concert along the parkway. the fireworks are clear with a northwesterly wind.

new video has just been released showing the moment that an overpass built for the world

cup collapsed in brazil. in this clip you see the concrete and steel structures give way crushing several cars and at least one bus. two people were killed including a 25-year-old man whose vehicle was flattened by tons of rubble. as mean as 22 others were hurt. the overpass collapse was the first tragedy for the host city. it shows a helicopter team saving a hiker trapped up on a mountain. >> there is not much room. we'll be down there and see how it looks. the rescue happened on monday night. the stranded climber called 911 and said he was stuck. 10 feet of the rotor clearance from the rock face. he connects the harness and then he's hoisted up to the helicopter. once lifted into the chopper.
