pellman is in for traffic. good morning. >> reporter: we have clouds around, we have some sunny breaks. looks like we'll be dry as the rain up in the great lake states gets here tomorrow afternoon. it's warm, a tad muggy, 74 in philadelphia. 70 in allentown and 70 in wilmington and 70 in sea isle city. as we roll through the day, it will be a hot one, 77 by 9:00 a.m., noon, 85. 3:00 p.m., 92. the high of 93 hits around 4:00 p.m. we'll be in the upper 80s by 6:00 p.m., dry. a little bit more humid than over the weekend. it's one of those days where there's enough sun poking through where you want to keep the sunscreen handy. when i step inside we reintroduce the christmas idea a thunderstorm in the forecast. i'll have an idea where to

expect that in the seven day. >> reporter: sometimes thing don't go according to plan that's what happened on the northeast extension this morning, they expected the northbound lanes to be reopened by lansdale. we had an overnight crash, actually two separate crashes, one involving a truck. they expected it to be cleared out by at this point. northbound lanes all block. you can exit and get back on or stay on 309 if you want to avoid the situation altogether. the accident happened around midnight. thought it would be clear by now it , it is not. southbound i-95 a disabled vehicle on the shoulder. i-95 looks good near naamans road and 395 which is shut down.

route 40 pulaski ohio, a truck overturned -- highway, a truck overturned carrying yogurt and hummus and the boxes spilled on the roads. it's a lengthy cleanup process, the westbound lanes will remain shut down for sometime. as they do, stay on 273 or 13 southbound is you head toward highway one. still a mess in bear, delaware this morning. >> breaking right now, a driver was killed in a crash in philadelphia's hunting park neighborhood. a passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. it happened at whitiker and east lou certain street at -- sue -- lou zen street at is 2:00 a.m. a shooting in camden county, blasting through two homes. a bullet struck two people, one a girl sleeping in her bed.

katherine scott is live on the scene in sicklierville with more on the story. >> reporter: matt, investigators are trying to figure out who fired the shots. one shot hit a 13-year-old girl asleep in her bed. this home on the corner here, you can see the bullet hole upstairs in this second home that was hit by the stray bullets overnight here. the shooting happened on haywood lane, two homes hit by stray bullets one on the corner and the other on hathoway drive. the intersection is closed off with the investigation. it happened at 12:30 a.m. we're hearing four girls were asleep on two bunk beds inside a home when a stray bullet pierced the home and struck one of the girls in the bullet toks. she is at the -- in the buttocks. she is in the hospital in stable condition. a woman was injured by debris, she was not hit by a bullet, but she refused treatment on the

scene. nearly a dozen shell casings were visible from the street. one neighbor we spoke to tells us, you never imagine this happening on your block. >> we hear about this stuff a lot in other areas, primarily back in the cities, camden, philly, and i know there's crime everywhere, but this is a little unsettling. >> and back here live where the investigation is underway, police in winslow township are on the scene, the camden county prosecutor's office is investigate. circumstances are under investigation around the shooting. we don't know if was multiple people or one gun firing, all is under investigation. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." new at 6:00 a.m., police officers in the lehigh valley survived a close call with a criminal when the criminal's gun jammed. police were chasing thomas on

allen street. he turned toward them and pulled the trigger. the gun did not go off. thomas is behind bars. police are looking for a group of suspects who carried out a home invasion in crescentville section of philadelphia. the suspects are two orderly woman and a mantua child in the car. the suspect -- woman and man with a child inside. they got inside and drove over after they robbed the place. police thing they are the same people who target disabled and elderly people in the area. >> a hospital is pushing to go paperless, but it could make fraud more likely. maribel abers is live with more on that. push to use erecords come even

have a guest appearance by mr. murphy. this was the overnight in bear, delaware, where the westbound lains of route 40 are blocked because of an overturned truck. it was carrying yogurt and hum hummus. they are telling us that westbound blockage could be lasting for a little while. at school bell road strict to 273 or 13 as you work toward highway 1. that accident happened at 2:45 a.m., but the blockage remains in tact. still blocked the northeast extension montgomery county. northbound side we had a vehicle that struck a barrier and became disabled and a truck comes along and strikes the vehicle, two separate accidents have the northbound lanes closed at lansdale stay with stay on 309 d the mess and resulting backups.

noon, 85. a temperature of 982 and high of 93 probably hitting around 4:00 p.m. even though we'll have clouds for a time there will be enough sun and solar insulation to get through the clouds uv index is high, it's a good idea to use the sunscreen if you're at the pool or the beach for any extended period of time. when i step inside we'll talk about the rain that's coming to the north and west in our area. okay. >> reporter: all right, let's talk about that. chopper 6 has arrived over the northeast extension accident in the northbound lanes involved a vehicle that struck the median barrier and became disabled and this truck came along and in the darkness struck the disabled vehicle. a couple of vehicles involved a couple of separate accidents.

as they investigate and try to get the vehicles out of here, the northbound lanes of the northeast extension are closed and they have been since after midnight. if you're coming north from mid county, you can bail at lansdale or get -- and get back on, or use 309 to avoid this. schuylkill expressway no big eastbound delays heading toward center city, even though we expect things to be back to normal with the volume. the schuylkill expressway looks good. not so good in bear, delaware, the action cam was on the scene of a crash involving an overturned truck carrying yogurt and hummus. you can see that yogurt and hummus boxes on the roadway. they are saying 40 westbound will be closed for an extended period of time near first choice auto sales on the eastbound side of the fence. you meant to avoid 40 westbound

changes in the forecast today. beautiful weekend gives way to a different week. it's going to be hotter, and a bit more humid today, not oppressive, but you'll feel a change from over the weekend. later in the week chance of thunderstorm pops up several different days. 74 degrees, dewpoint, be 61 fairly low. winds south/southwest at 13 miles per hour. so a little bit breezy out there. satellite shows you there's a little bit of cloud cover across the region. we have sunny breaks here and there and we expect clouds overall. you can see the rainier ear -- rain near erie pennsylvania that will get here tomorrow. if you have airnldz to run or -- errands to run or something of that nature in the morning, you're in good shape.

standstill. the vehicle is wedged between the truck county median. matt pellman is standing by with more information on that, matt? >> reporter: this is sticking with us, matt and erin, that started around midnight. and it continues now. here's what happened as we pull in chopper 6hd if we can find it. there it is. northbound side of the northeast extension a vehicle struck the barrier, and so it became disabled. this truck comes along, second accident happens, the truck strikes the vehicle. this unfolds after midnight. all northbound lanes have been blocked at the landslide -- lansdale interchange. you are forced off at lansdale, you can get back on. if you don't won't to do that,

stay on 309 north of montgomeryville. i-95 bills from allegheny into girard. construction is back tonight, around 10:00 p.m. they will set up new barriers along i-95 southbound at girard. right now the three lanes are open, but crowded. up see the slowly speeds on the big picture, i-95 southbound as well as schuylkill expressway westbound at city avenue, 21 miles per hour. expect extra traffic on 42 as people come back from the beach. we have traffic light troubles northbound -- route 1, the jug handle is closed, us can't make the left turn on to harrison street because of faulty traffic lights. the investigation continues into a gunfire that critically injured a woman in wilmington, delaware. police say the victim was shot several times in the north side
