fire station. crewing brin [chanting] emotions have boiled over in southwest philadelphia. residents who live on and around guestner street see their grief

turning to furry and aiming their anger at the fire department. they are slow to responded to the fire el saturday that cost the lives of four children. it is monday night and the big story tonight i is is angisd aner. keith russel starting with you. >>reporter:things were ugly fast. it sparked after 6:00 this evening. it intensified as we move into the night. the crowds dispersed. all the focus is on the firehouse which is close to where the children lost their lives in the welcome back fire. [chanting] >> the protests, the faces of anger and the increase response increased in a matter of seconds in southwest philadelphia.

[chanting] one arrest after another. clashes with police that had the officers using their batons. it was a scene of unrest at 56 street and billon avenue. both streets were shutdown. it was a delayed response that killed four small children. the fatal fire is around the block from ladder 4. >> the kids should be. these people should have their houses and these fire people do not care. >>reporter:before the riot broke out the tempers were flaring in a community meeting. the response time was 3 3 minuts after the call. >> there was no way in i would have said that our members didn't give their all to save those children. >> that angered people many are

victims. and the walls literally came crumbling down in the cobbs creek section of west philadelphia at the site of a rowhouse collapse. two of the homes caved into on the 6000 block of spruce street. the beloved pet was pulled out to safe. red cross is helping 10 people tonight. the l&i inspectors are trying to figure out what caused the house to collapse. they remember crystal brown. she was caught in the middle of gunfire. and the police say that fighting led up to the shooting. brown was not involved in the altercation. no arrests have yet been made. police from sicklerville are

trying to hunt down the gunman that came within a hair's breath of claiming a life overnight. a bullet came in the bedroom of tiya hudson and lodged in the girl's lower back. she had emergency surgery. she will be in the hospital for at least a week. the woman across the street was injured by flying glass due to the gunshot. it was a night of emotion for corinthian ham mand. corinthian hammond. they mourned the 14-year-old, everybody knew him as cory. the beaches at 8th and 9th and 12th street are protected every day.

this is a live picture as a rescue operation is now underway at six flags magic mountain amusement park in california. four were hurt. about two dozen people were stranded when a roller coaster derailed about of and stopped. four people hurt. this coaster was suspended 20 to 30 feet in the air. and rescue personnel are trying to get everybody down and get the four people injured off to the hospital. it's about 25 miles north of los
