your shoulders you start to feel that sticky air. on satellite and radar not a whole lot happening precipitation-wise right now. we had some thunderstorms to our north last night. there will be more tonight as that cold front gets closer to us. 76 degrees is the current temperature in philadelphia. a little bit on the muggy side. 68 in allentown. 74 in wilmington. 73 in trenton and low 70's down the shore. and as we roll through the day, it's going to be a hot one. by 9 o'clock, 80 degrees. by noon, 88. get your chores done early, if you can 'cause this afternoon we're back into the 90's. 3 o'clock 93 and your high today is 94 degrees. slight chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm through the afternoon but again most of the action probably holds off until this evening. what about tomorrow? i'll have the latest in the accuweather seven day. matt, roads have been looking over so far. still that way. >> yeah, believe it or not. keep your fingers crossed david. one of those chores people are getting done early this morning was little road construction and we're hearing that they shifted the traffic pattern around on the

northbound side of 42 up at 295 at this point as you can see it's not causing any sort of extra delays as we look live here by creek road. but there is some building northbound volume coming up from turnersville, blackwood and deptford already in south jersey this morning. also in overnight work on 95 southbound side at girard avenue. set up new barriers here butter again at this point not impeding traffic a whole lot. just some building volume as you head done towards center city from allegheny avenue. on the big picture, speeds still look okay. you just see a little bit of that slowing on southbound 95. don't forget in cobbs creek we had that big building collapse yesterday so spruce street still blocked off around 60th. maybe stay down on pine instead and there's still a broken down tractor-trailer in plymouth meeting along ridge pike at colwell lane by conicelli. also most of our overnight construction is gone but there is still a zone on the northbound northeast extension past quakertown taking out the right lane and of course we have the ongoing work closure along 495 in delaware but at

this point to get around that on 95 those travel times are right on time with no complaints in the first state on this tuesday morning. matt. >> thank you, matt. we have been following breaking news all morning in bucks county where gunfire left one man dead and two people wounded. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live in bristol township where this happened with an update on what we know so far. katherine. >> reporter: well, matt investigators are trying to figure out what happened overnight. two people remain in the hospital with gun shot wounds. police have not said their conditions at this point. one man was pronounced dead on the scene here this morning and you can see that this scene remains closed off here in bristol township. a mobile command unit has pulled in since the last time we spoke and there are a number of police vehicles here on the scene. police say this home has been described as a problem home by neighbors. they did not go into detail but they continue to gather evidence and collect interviews here this morning. police were called to the home on the 900 block of winder drive around 12:45.

when they arrived they found one man inside the home, he had been shot and already died. another man was injured. the second injured man was able to go to a neighbor's home to call 911 and police say that was the only 911 call to come in about this. what was happening before those shots were fired remains under investigation. >> it was very quiet. we had no reports of anything. in fact, our first idea that anything was wrong was when one of the victims went to a neighbor's house. at this point there were no reports of any gun shots in the neighborhood. even after the incident, we still didn't get any reports of any gun shots. >> reporter: and back here live where you can see winder drive remains closed off. police say they have no known suspects at this point. multiple shots were fired inside the home but so far no weapon has been recovered. police are waiting for a search warrant to be able to go through the home more thoroughly. katherine scott chacks. >> a southwest philadelphia

community is calm this morning after a night of angry protests over the response time to a weekend fire that killed four young children. last night a line of police separated the protesters from ladder four engine 40. the firehouse around the corner from the deadly blaze. demonstrators say firefighters took too long to get to the fire. the fire commissioner derek sawyer says once fire radio got the call that it was a house fire, firefighters arrived on the scene in three minutes. mayor michael nutter says firefighters are not to blame for the children's death. >> members of the philadelphia fire department and in particular the members serving at engine 40 and ladder four responded in a very timely fashion to this fire. any information being put out by other individuals that indicates otherwise is absolutely, positively, directly incorrect.

>> officials say they are going to release dispatch calls that will show just how quickly firefighters responded. you can learn more about the deadly fire on our free 6abc news app. we have a slide show of photos including those of the four young victims, plus we've posted a way you could help the families affected by the fire. >> those closest to a woman who was shot and killed by a stray bullet in wilmington delaware mourn her loss during a vigil and called for justice. dozens of people gathered outside the home of 44 year old crystal brown last night. she was caught in the middle of a shootout on sunday night just as she was walking out of the adams market near seventh and adams streets. brown's mother says the killer stole a wonderful person from this world. >> my daughter was a kind person. she would do anything forbe anybody. she loved the kids. she would take the kids to the store, buy them things. this is her aunt. she loved her aunt. she would always look out for her aunt she looked out for

her father and i. she was a good person. she was an intelligent young lady. she was such a good person. she didn't and deserve this. >> brown's mother call on the person who fired the gone do the right thing and turn himself in. >> new at 6:00 a father wants to extend a big thank you to their first responders who saved his son from a 40-foot fall. 25 year old james galiardi plumed from a cliff in albany township berks county. he rolled 200 feet down the mountain that he had been hiking. it took nearly 50 people to rescue him. >> i think the whole thing is just knowing that he's safe now and that he had just a wonderful rescue recovery. we had excellent care for him. >> he suffered a spinal fracture, broken ribs and a concussion. he is now in stabilization condition. >> a new study on the impact of the minimum wage may put pressure on lawmakers federally and local to give

the buildings and the aircraft down there at philadelphia international airport. you'll need your sunglasses headed out on the roads this morning too from the locks of that shot. 76 degrees in philadelphia right now, 74 in wilmington, 73 in trenton and low 70's at the boardwalks in sea isle city and up the coast in atlantic city. future tracker 6 shows you that there's a little chance of precip between now and noon mainly north and west, a couple of showers may pop through. rest of the afternoon is probably mainly dry. we'll allow for a little pop-up shower or thunderstorm but the bigger issue is probably later tonight as some thunderstorms try to roll down ahead of a cold front off to our north and west. the center of the action will be likely from about the i-95 corridor back through the northern and western suburbs. any storms that do form will be capable of producing some gusty winds and some heavy downpours along with lightning, maybe even a little hail. wouldn't be surprised to see a thunderstorm warning or two pop later on tonight, okay, so that's mainly in the evening hours. up in allentown we're looking at a hot one, a high of 91,

sun and clouds, a thunderstorm can't be ruled out late in the day or especially this evening. down the shore, well, it looks like most that of shower and thunderstorm activity is well to your north and west. so, during the day a bit humid, clouds and sun but it looks like you're dry on the beach and 87 degrees for your high at 3 o'clock. u.v. index is running high of course both at the water and elsewhere around the region so sunscreen important today. 94 degrees is the high in philadelphia. clouds and sun, humid, a thunderstorm can't be ruled out late in the day and especially in the evening and it's a little bit breezy after times. as we roll through the day, well, the time to get out there and take a jog or do some exercise of some sort is definitely early. we'll be at 77 degrees by 8 o'clock. by 11 o'clock, 83, still not too bad but we do spend most of the afternoon in the 90's and our high today will be that 94 around 3:30. then tomorrow future tracker 6 shows that you we're still somewhat unsettled. during the morning not a lot going on. during the afternoon a spotty shower or thunderstorm is still possible. and your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast going for a high of 94 today, hot, humid,

this hour most mornings headed towards 76 but at this point we're not parked yet. camera three is the roosevelt boulevard south of broad street. looking good. no major delays in either direction. we're starting to see volume in camera four. 95 by cottman. southbound go the taillights into the work zone. crowded and then again approaching the work zone at girard. camera five its 95 in delco, northbound come the headlights into some sun glare headed past the commodore barry bridge. no big delays just yet went made it to camera six, the ben franklin bridge looking live from camden headed towards center city just fine headed westbound. eastbound into camden a little construction. that's my time. matt and erin. >> way to go matt. developing overseas typhoon neoguri has swept across okinawa taking direct aim at mainland japan. the storm is blamed for at least one death. more than 500,000 people have been urged to evacuate. hundreds of flights have been canceled. the storm is losing strength as it approaches japan's

schuylkill just starting to slow on the westbound side there between city and belmont. speeds have dropped into the 30's. don't forget in cobbs creek spruce street still blocked off near 60th the scene of yesterday's building collapse. pine street easily gets you around that. we still have that broken down truck in plymouth meeting along ridge pike at colwell lane but that's off to the side so no big deal on that one and our construction on the northbound side of the northeast extension past quakertown has cleared. both lanes reopened there as you head north towards the lehigh valley. speaking of construction, we've got some of course on the ben franklin bridge eastbound side headd in camden that's not really impeding traffic too much. if you're on 42 those travel times not too bad just yet n delaware same situation on 95. travel times almost right on time in each direction as you continue to detour around the 495 closure. matt. >> thank you, matt. let's get to that breaking news in bucks county where police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two people wounded. scene in bristol township with the latest. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, matt. police are still trying to determine what exactly happened here, a triple shooting overnight. one man was pronounced dead on the scene, two men were taken to the hospital with gun shot wounds. police have not confirmed their condition at this time. this remains an active scene in bristol township. winder degree drive is closed off while this investigation is under way. police were called to the home on the 900 block of winder around 12:45 this morning. when they arrived they found one man dead inside the home, another man was injured. a second injured man was that able to go to a neighbor's home to call 91 and and police say that was the only 911 call to come in about this. multiple shots were fired inside the home but the circumstances surrounding the shot, what was happening before those shots were fired, this all remains under investigation. >> right now bucks county detectives are processing the scene. we do have detectives that are interviewing so we're just trying to get as much

information gathered as possible to try to at least get some leads on this shooting. >> reporter: and police say this home has been known as a problem house by neighbors but they did not elaborate on that. police have no known suspects here. this all remains under investigation. again, winder drive remains closed off in bristol township this morning after a triple shooting here overnight. we're live in bristol township, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> chopper six was overhead in southwest philadelphia last night during an evening of anger and accusations over firefighters' response time to a deadly weekend blaze. the neighborhood, though, has since returned to calm this morning. police stood between protesters and the focus of their anger ladder four engine 40. demonstrators claim firefighters delayed their response to the blaze but fire commissioner derrick sawyer told the community yesterday that once firefighters got the call of a louse fire they responded within three

with the law. we're learning more this morning about the rider stuck and on a rollercoaster at the six flags in california. about two dozen people dangled 20 feet in the air when the ninja ride derailed last night. rescue crews lowered everyone to safety. the four people in the front car have minor injuries. young witnesses near the scene heard screaming. >> it sounded like they were like panicking. >> yeah. >> 'cause they didn't know what to do. >> they were just confused and scared then didn't really know what was going on. >> a park spokeswoman says a branch that fell on the track is responsible for the coaster derail. the park remained opened and the other rides were in operation during that rescue effort. >> happening today, the pennsylvania state senate will vote on a bill that would allow philadelphia to hike cigarette taxes to raise money for public schools. the two dollars per pack increase would help close the district's 93 million toms budget gap by more than half. last week the statehouse approved the same bill sending it back to the senate for

final approval. the senate has already approved the measure once before. >> and it is going to be a hot one today. >> yeah, once again. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you at least you're dry for the morning commute. as you look outside we have lots of sun up over the horizon and it's a warm sunshine that's building in along with some is somewhat noticeable humidity so a little sticky out there this morning and want to take it a little bit easy today. 76 degrees is your current temperature in philadelphia, dewpoint is at 65, which is moderately humid enough to feel it certainly. winds light at 8 miles per hour probably getting a little bit breezy at times as we roll through the day n terms of precipitation, by about noon we are looking at the potential of a little shower popping through especially north side and west of philadelphia. but in general, it looks like the day is mainly dry. it will be later in the evening hours when we see a line of showers and thunderstorms start to build in from the west and where these thunderstorms hit they could produce strong gusty winds downpours maybe even a little hail. i wouldn't be surprised if later tonight we get

thunderstorm watches and regions posted across the region especially from i-95 off to the north and west suburbs. that's where most of the action will be tonight. temperatures, well, if you have exercising to do or something like that, early is the better choice. 77 degrees by 8 o'clock. that's not too bad. by 8:00 a.m. we'll be in the mid 80's and we spend most of the afternoon in the 90's. by 2 o'clock 92 degrees. 94 is your high around 3:30 which is rider when we hit yesterday's 93-degree high. 92 by 5 o'clock. chance of a pop-up shower, maybe a late day thunderstorm but most of your action in the evening. high temperatures will be in the 90's in many spots across the region including allentown, reading, trenton and down through the i-95 corridor. if you're down the beach in cape play or atlantic city, you get a little bit of a break, mid to upper 80's. at times there will be a pop-up shower around went might see a couple more strong thunderstorms in places tomorrow as well, okay. we'll have more fine tuning of that idea when we see you later tonight and tomorrow. hot and humid today, 94 degrees.

international airport. 77 degrees on city avenue getting to a high of 94. it's going to be hot. look out for thundershowers later on today. >> matt pelman standing by with a problem on 202. >> yes, it's disabled vehicles and construction that are keeping me in business this morning erin and matt. so we could have much worse problems. but a vehicle did stall on 202 northbound side approaching 29 and so already you're looking at very heavy traffic coming north of the 30 bypass through this point at the exit for malvern. the vehicle now pushed off into the exiting lane but for awhile it was blocking one of the main lanes here in the work zone so that's why already you're seeing the sizable delay in chester county on northbound 202. better news in plymouth meeting montgomery county. the disabled truck close to conicelli along ridge pike at colwell lane is out of the way but on the eastbound schuylkill speeds starting to drop, just 31 miles per hour by conshohocken. on the westbound side of 76, well, that's even worse, 19 miles per hour as you travel between city and belmont in the normal slow

spot and 95 has plenty of slow speeds as always, 27 miles per hour southbound by cottman, 28 by the betsy ross bridge and then just 19 as you travel through the work zone at girard avenue. speaking of work zones a new one started yesterday going through the end of july. during the mid days they're closing providence road between springfield road by the pen pines diner one of my favorites and lansdowne avenue is your other closure point so baltimore avenue to the north or 13 to the south some possible alternates around the new providence road closure and in falls township bucks county, today they begin a long term closure of old route 13 for the next couple weeks between penn valley road and mill creek parkway. we've had construction out there for awhile but it's today that the road closes entirely. just stick with 13, new 13 instead of old 13 for the next couple weeks. matt. >> all right, matt, thank you. breaking overnight israel has launched a military offensive against hamas. ices real leaders say it has hit the gaza strip 50 times to

try to suppress rocket attacks against israel. it follows the abduction and murder of both israeli and palestinian teens and president obama wrote an editorial which you published in an israeli newspaper calling for both sides to put an end to acts of retribution. investigators in georgia want to review the medical records of the toddler who died in his father's swelters suv. 22 month old cooper harris died on june 18th. the boy's father justin ross harris is charged with murder. police are reviewing computer drives and other electronic devices recovered from harris' vehicle. both harris and his wife have admitted to researching hot car deaths on line but say it was not with criminal intender. >> a teen's drowning in ocean city, new jersey, has prompted lifeguards to stay on the job longer. the beaches at eighth, ninth and 12 streets will be protected from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day. 14 year old corinthian hammond died after being swept out to sea at ninth street when lifeguards were off duty.

northbound backlog from just north of 30 through this point on up to approaching 29. also a broken down truck here in mount laurel burlington county along 295 northbound at route 73. the good news with this one is it's off to the side so speeds are in the mid 60's as you head toward that broken down tractor-trailer. 42 a little bit of sluggish northbound traffic from 41 to 295 but david it could be worse here. >> yeah, sure could. we have sun up over the horizon. 73 degrees in pottstown, 70 in saint davids, 74 in chester and in center city and a across the river in south jersey 75 in vineland and a lot of mid 70's from the shore up to cinnaminson and the same story from hockessin down to dover in delaware. as you're rolling through the day, got any errands to run might be more comfortable to get them done early. 80 degrees at 9 o'clock. by noon up closer to 90 and we spends the afternoon in the 90's with a high of 94 degrees around 3:30 this afternoon. we'll still be at 90 at 6 o'clock.

a southwest philadelphia neighborhood returned to calm overnight after a protest last night. residents say they're in the satisfied with firefighters' response time to the weekend blaze that killed four children. officials say firefighters arrived at the scene three minutes after getting word of house fire. the pennsylvania state senate is due to vote on a bill today that would let philadelphia increase cigarette taxes in the city by two dollars a pack. revenue would go to help the city school district balance its budget. >> there have been times this morning where we've been saying where is everybody. we have found some of them here on 202 stuck behind this disabled vehicle northbound right at route 29. both lanes are opened now but it is heavy coming north of 30 through this point at malvern. david. >> christine reports seeing 75 degrees in reading right now on twitter and 76 currently in philadelphia so that's close. as we go through the day it's going to be hot again, a high of 94. we'll probably hit that around 3:30. you can see how we quickly march up towards the 90 by lunchtime. slight chance of a spotty shower or thunderstorm today. most of your action will hold
