police in buck county search for the gunman in a triple shoot that left one dead. and eating healthy, seniors get help getting fresh fruits and vegetables. but the big story is the big fire that killed four children in southwest philadelphia. demonstrators were outside of the firehouse around the corner from the deadly blaze, they believe that firefighters took too long to respond. john rawlins, joins us live from the firehouse in southwest philadelphia with more on what is happening today. >> reporter: hi sara, all is quiet right now, ladder 4 was dispatched six or seven minutes ago. quite a commotion and confrontation, police can only confirm that one arrest was made and someone charged with disorderly conduct, a man, they

are waiting for further numbers. the protest by as many as 200 people was angry and at times chaotic, police at one point dragged protesters trying it leave on an emergency call. the demonstrators claim they were slow to respond to this fire only a block away, two small children, twin girls and two little boys perished. >> these kids should be here and the people should have their houses. they do not care. >> the deputy fire commissioner often refuted the response time was 30 minutes delay was racially motivated. >> he says the responsibilities time was under 3:00 minutes. >> i have children of my own, there is no way we could say our

happened at 11:06, this is the field outside of gus elementary school in perkasie, county 911 is telling "action news" that two people were tandem skydiving when the accident occurred. one is flown to lehigh valley hospital and the other to temple university hospital. it's unknown what happened in the air, they don't know if the shoot was tangled or if the parachute did not open fully, you can see the parachute on the ground and rescuers have blocked off the scene, the incident is under investigation, we'll continue to follow this and bring you the latest details on air and online at 6abc.com. turning to the weather now, this is expected to be the hot of the day of the week but relief is on the way eventually. sky 6 hd taking a live look at opinions landing as a boat goes by, a ride on the river is a good way to cool off on a hot and steamy day like today. it's humid out there and storms

are a good possibility later on. for the timing and news, david murphy is at the big board. >> once again we have the humid air mass in place and it is getting hot out there. the air is somewhat unstable and ahead of this main area of precipitation, you see showers and thunderstorms beginning to pop out in central pennsylvania, some of that migrates into our neck of the woods and causes us a spotty problem, but it's the cold front in this larger area of precipitation, we expect the best chance of gusty storms in some neighborhoods. it looks like most of that will track across the northern half of the region, in regions like new jersey and delaware you probably don't have as much to worry about. i want to show you satellite, there is cloud cover beginning to pop up just to the west and the rest of afternoon has a chance of being a sun and clouds mix. as for precipitation, between now all the way to late afternoon and dinner time, not a lot going on, maybe a spotty

any injuries or not. police in buck county are working to solve a deadly shooting that happened overnight. police say that 24-year-old tyrone moss was dead at the scene. 29-year-old joshua johnson was shot in the head, and rushed to the hospital, 24-year-old duffy was shot in the back and is in the hospital. police are working on figuring out the motive and searching for suspects. philadelphia police are questioningwities in a murder overnirt. the 21-year-old man was found shot 12 times inside of a minivan, police tell "action news" that the man was shot at point-blank range in the driver's seat. >> a delaware county jury took less than an hour to convict a

woman. theest stranged couple had two young children today. a doctor in wilmington claimed self-defense, she accused grover of trying to run her down. a winfield heights tavern was robbed by a lone gunman, it happened at 9:45 at the five points at monument and fords road, police say that a cleaning employee was taking out the trash and was confronted by a masked gunman, and was then locked in the basement. the gunman stole $300 in cash and the security system. a hiker survived a fall from the cliff in berks county this weekend. james galardy fell 50 feet from a ledge and rolled another 200 feet, it took nearly 50 people to rescue him, his father is thankful for those that helped to save his son. >> i think the whole thing is

knowing that he is safe now and had just a wonderful rescue and recovery, and we had excellent care for him. >> he is now at lehigh valley hospital with a spinal fracture and broken ribs and a concussion. he is in stable condition. the pennsylvania state senate will vote today on a bill that will allow philadelphia to hike cigarette taxes to raise money for city schools, it will help to close the $93 million budget gap by half. the state house approved the same bill sending it back to the senate for final approval. they have approved the measure once before, we'll have more on that coming up on "action news" at 4:00. a public hearing is under way right now to discuss last may's widespread boil water advisory in montgomery county. a problem at the north town treatment plant prompted the

in the air in six flags in atlantic. a roller coaster got stuck in the air and on an angle. it hit a tree branch. four people were left there for hours. the ride is closed while this is under investigation. the defense has rested in the murder trial of oscar pistorius. the chief defense lawyer said he is finished presenting the case for the jury. pistorius says he believed she was an intruder when he shot through the bathroom door. donald sterling is due in court this afternoon. he is ordered testify at a hearing when he challenges his

estranged wife's $2 billion deal. the report came from a neurologist that claimed that the 80-year-old sterling is suffering from alzheimer's disease. and his lawyers argue that he is capable of handling decisions. president obama is asking congress for $3.8 billion for dealing with the influx of minors from south america. it would pay for more immigration judges and border agents and care of unaccompanied children. the request would not seek legal changes to speed up deportation of children. the president will discussion immigration reform tomorrow in texas. he has no plans to visit the border.

cupcake maker crumbs is now gone. the company that had stores in the cherry hill mall and christiana mall has closed all of its locations, it was delisted from nasdaq last week. employees at its 65 locations in 12 states and washington, d.c., were told of the news yesterday. they plan to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation. a new survey finds that people with degrees in imagine and science are earning more than peers with the same

i try and play quidditch and my knee would go out. stormtracker 6 live double scan, we don't have any precipitation out there just yet as we take a look outside, riding aboard chopper 6 and looking down at the schuylkill river there, with manayunk on the ride and a lot of sunshine out there earlier and still fairly sunny across the region with the potential for cloud cover to mix in as the day goes on. man is it hot, it got up to 90 degrees, and dew points are in the mid-60s, it's not oppressively humid but it's sticky and winds are at 9 miles per hour at the airport. we are almost there, 90 in wilding ton and 89 in millville and 89 in the beaches and back bay and wildwood. an air quality alert is posted for the state of new jersey, because of the way they calculate the ozone particles in the atmosphere, they feel it's unhealthy air for sensitive groups, seniors, and young kids

and people with asthma and respiratory ailments. you may want to limit your outdoor activity. in terms of rain this afternoon, not a lot going on during the afternoon itself. a couple of spotty cells are possible to the north but the line is here, for tonight where we expect gusty showers and downpours, it's coming in through the northern and western suburbs and kind of fall as part as it gets past philadelphia, you will want to take cover if you get a strongs storm out of that batch. a late night or overnight thunderstorm is possible. down the shore dry today and 60s in the water, warm on the beach, 88 degrees and sun and clouds and obviously enough sun to warrant some sunscreen. in philadelphia, we go for a high of 95 this afternoon, sun and clouds mixing and a bit on

the humid side and oppressive. and the thunderstorm chances are mainly in the evening and we have to allow for something to pop up in the afternoon. 76 degrees and a gusty storm possible from i-95 north tonight. and it's still muggy overnight. if you have travel, 94 by 4:00 and 91 by 5:30 and whether or not we see thunderstorms depends on how quickly the front comes from the west and whether or not we happen to get a pop-up from the main line in the evening. the union take the field tonight in their third round of the u.s. open cup. it's against an mls opponent we just beat in new england, the union only have to win three more to win the coveted u.s. cup. we are looking at an 89 degree start time and 83 at the end of game. tomorrow a couple of showers and a thunderstorm building back in
